Chapter 209: Zachary is Really Out of Line

After the loud impact of hitting the wall, the entire corridor fell into silence. Apart from his initial cry of pain, Carlos did not utter a single sound when faced with the man's chilling gaze. He almost wanted to hide his head in his chest.

"It seems that Uncle has a bad memory, which is why he always forgets what I say," Zachary said.

The person who arrived was Zachary.

His young and handsome face was filled with gloom and indifference, and the sharp coldness emanating from his body was as sharp as a blade. He walked slowly towards Carlos, who was struggling on the ground and unable to get up.

Carlos shrank back, his lips stiffly twitching, "Zachary, I am Winona's father after all. Although you are now divorced, you don't have to call me dad along with her. But at least I am older than you..."

"When you caused trouble at The Bailey Group that day, I already warned you not to harass her. What did you promise me at that time?" Zachary squatted down in front of him, his cold voice unwavering, "You said as long as I didn't ask you to repay the money, you would never appear in front of her again."

Winona was unaware of Carlos's actions at The Bailey Group, and asked, "When did he cause trouble at The Bailey Group?"

"About a month ago, that was the final repayment deadline Mr. Bailey set for Mr. Sullivan."

It was only then that Winona noticed that Dylan was also present. Seeing her looking at him, the man respectfully called out, "Madam."

This was not the treatment she received during their marriage, but Winona showed no sign of giving him any face, "I am divorced from you and Mr. Bailey, so you can still call me Mrs. Sullivan, as you did before."

Dylan's smile was radiant, showing no embarrassment at all despite the stark contrast in his attitude, "Mr. Bailey originally had an important international meeting to attend, but as soon as he received a call from the apartment security saying Mr. Sullivan was at your door, he came straight away."

Zachary shot him a sideways glance, his tone indicating a hidden anger, "Mind your own business."

With Zachary's lack of objection, Dylan immediately escorted Carlos into the elevator.

Carlos leaned against the elevator wall in pain, feeling as if his bones were about to break from Zachary's seemingly light kick. His back was also in great pain, and he couldn't even stand up straight.
The smile on Dylan's face had completely disappeared. At first glance, he had a hint of Zachary's presence. He said, "Mr. Sullivan, Mr. Bailey is still keeping you around solely because of the years you have spent raising madam. He is trying to reason with you now, but if you insist on acting like a rogue, don't blame Mr. Bailey for being merciless."

Carlos wanted to take advantage of his status as Winona's father in Zachary's eyes. He knew Winona's personality well and was certain she wouldn't voluntarily tell him about the paternity test when she and Zachary had already divorced.

He pretended to be clueless and said, "Based on what Mr. Collins said, I am Winona's father and it is my responsibility to raise her."

Dylan looked at him as if he were watching a clown. "Mr. Bailey got hold of the paternity report before madam did."

Upstairs, as soon as Dylan and Carlos left, Winona gave the eviction order, saying, "They're gone, you can leave too."

Zachary asked, "What about those two billion? Did they get returned?"

Winona didn't want to waste time arguing with him and replied nonchalantly, "They got returned."

"What about the interest? I didn't receive any text message notifications of the transaction."

Winona was annoyed. Did this man have a mental problem? Even if he didn't swipe his card, he still wanted to ask. "Who do you think I am? Just like you, I expect interest when I lend money."

A cold smile formed on Zachary's lips as he stepped closer to Winona. "You lied to me..."

Having learned her lesson from previous encounters, Winona covered her mouth as soon as he approached.

His face darkened instantly when she made this gesture. "You're covering up so tightly. Are you afraid I'll kiss you?"

"Who knows if you'll go into heat again."

Zachary stared at her annoying hand and had the impulse to grab it and forcefully press it against the top of her head. Due to this thought, a hint of red spread in his eyes as he sneered, "Even if I go into heat, at most I'll just kiss you. I won't take a chunk out of you." He emphasized the last phrase, causing Winona to suspect that he was retaliating for what she said before about Fiona and her "touching won't take a chunk out of you" statement. "So you don't need to put on this forced appearance."

A strange thought crossed Winona's mind, and she blurted out, "So you really can't perform?"

Otherwise, why would he say, "Even if I go into heat, at most I'll just kiss you"?

Zachary squinted as if he realized something. His forehead furrowed slightly, and after a moment, he calmly said, "If that's how you want to interpret it, go ahead."

Winona: "??"

All she could think about was Zachary's inability in bed. Was his reaction when he held her just an act?
Zachary's fingers waved in front of her, "You seem quite disappointed."

Winona snapped back, sarcastically, "Disappointed my ass! Even if it's not you, the one who should be disappointed is your future wife. I'm just glad to be rid of you."

Zachary's expression gradually darkened, but instead of getting angry, he circled back to the previous topic, "Give me back the money, unless you want me to help you repay it."

...

After returning home, whether it was because Zachary's words had shocked her or because of the unforgettable events of that night, Winona had a dream that night. She dreamt of her first time with Zachary.

It wasn't a pleasant memory.

The man's actions were fierce, with a hint of awkwardness, which already made her feel uneasy. Coupled with her struggling resistance and the unbearable size, although it only happened once, it almost took half her life away. For the next two days, she was in too much pain to walk. Finally, when she couldn't bear it anymore, she went to the hospital for stitches and IV fluids.

This caused her to be haunted by the incident for a long time.

The next morning, she was awakened by the sound of her alarm clock. Struggling to wake up from the dream, even though it was just a dream, for some reason, she felt a lingering pain in a certain part of her body, instantly pulling her back to the scene of limping to the hospital.

Thinking back to the embarrassing scene of describing her symptoms to the doctor with so many other patients present, and the pain in her body, she now felt that it was a good thing Zachary hadn't touched her in the past three years. If she had to go through it again, she would probably want to kill him.

Winona got up, washed up, and on her way to work at the museum, she took a moment to communicate with Matthew about the design proposal. When she arrived at the museum, she listened to a voicemail on her phone while walking to her workspace. As she turned the corner, someone suddenly rushed out and collided with her.
