Chapter 342 Women Prefer the Process

Zachary didn't leave because Winona was already walking towards the main house from the pavilion.

Although Frank didn't follow, his gaze remained fixated on Winona. As a man, Zachary could instantly see the unusual emotion in his eyes.

Zachary squinted his eyes, extremely displeased. Throughout the time Winona approached, every passing minute, every ticking second, and every fleeting moment, he endured an overwhelming emotional turmoil. It wasn't until Winona entered the door that he closed his eyes and forcibly suppressed the burning agitation in his heart.

He had to guard against Winona's childhood friend, her high school classmates, and now even an old man over fifty.

Just thinking about it gave Zachary a headache.

Upon entering, Winona saw Zachary standing there. The food on the table was still the same as when she left, clearly uneaten. "Why are you standing there instead of eating?"

The resentment on Zachary's face was almost uncontrollable.

"Had a good chat?" he asked.

"Not bad," Winona didn't know what was wrong with him and didn't want to argue, so she replied perfunctorily, "Don't take out your anger about Eva on me. You brought that on yourself, not me."

Winona, having eaten very little during lunch and being continuously interrupted, was starving and had no extra energy to guess why Zachary was angry.

She sat down and continued eating.

Zachary frowned tightly and took his seat as well. Despite the delicate food on the table, he had no appetite at all.

"Winona, is it true that women who lack fatherly love from a young age are more likely to fall in love with much older men when they grow up?" he asked.

If Eva had suggested that Winona would like Frank for his money and looks, he would have thought she was talking nonsense. In terms of money, looks, and power, he wouldn't lose. However, when it came to experience and charm, Frank had the upper hand. A man in his fifties who didn't look old could sometimes attract more attention from women.

Despite being older, Frank had been pampered and well-educated since childhood. With the added grace of age, he exuded an elegant and noble aura.

Winona took a bowl of soup, finally feeling a bit better. She didn't relate Zachary's words to herself at all.

Carlos had been good to her when she was young. By the time he wasn't, she was already a teenager and didn't crave fatherly love as much. Instead, she felt more rebellious.

While eating, Winona replied, "Maybe. A father-like lover can fill a void in one's heart. Psychology also says that People often desire what they lack."

Zachary felt stifled. After a long while, he said, "What's so great about older men? Their skin is wrinkled, and they can't keep up physically."

Winona found this odd. What did he mean by 'can't keep up physically'? She heard Zachary continue, "Can they even enjoy sex?"

"Why are you attacking older men?" Winona rolled her eyes at him. "Can't people connect heart to heart and be together because of love? Zachary, why is your mind always on sex? You're the CEO of a multinational corporation. Aren't you ashamed to think about such nonsense all the time?"

Winona bit her fork, thinking about the drawer full of condoms. Although she hadn't planned to have sex with Zachary again, what if she got carried away with the excitement one day? For a better experience and not to hurt his male pride, she decided to give a subtle hint. "Well, it's not about the duration. It's about..."

Unable to find the precise words to describe her point, she simply raised her chin and said, "You see, it's about the feeling. If the woman doesn't feel anything and the man keeps going... Women care more about the process, you know?"

When Winona was exhausted, she didn't care about sex at all, and she just wanted to kick him off.

Zachary sneered, pressing his lips. "I get it. You prefer the physicality of old men."

Winona was so angry that she wanted to slap him. "Do you think I want a man who only thinks about sex?"

The atmosphere was dead silent for about ten seconds.

After a while, a dry cough came from the room. Austin said, "Hey, can you guys keep it down? If you're going to display affection in front of me, at least wait until I'm healed. I've got a hole in my chest, and it's still bleeding."

Quinn had come in to deliver food in the evening and smelled the medicine in the room, so he left the door open to air it out, planning to close it when he collected the dishes.

Who knew?

Zachary and Winona both fell silent.

Winona felt so embarrassed. Living alone for so long, she had forgotten Austin was in the villa and hadn't kept her voice down.

Could anything be more awkward?

Winona buried her head, her face blushing furiously.

She fled.

There was a loud 'bang' from upstairs as Winona went back to her room.

Only then did Zachary speak, "Can't you just shut up?"

Austin's lazy, playful voice came, "Sorry, your conversation was too juicy. I couldn't help it. I apologize. But seriously, why don't you let go and let me be with Winona? I'll treat you like my own brother."

Zachary said, "She doesn't like you."

Zachary had a sharp tongue.

The room fell silent. Just as Zachary was about to go upstairs, Austin gritted his teeth and said, "Winona was right!"

Zachary sneered and instructed the towering bodyguard in Austin's room, "Gag him.".

Upstairs, Zachary didn't enter the room but leaned against the wall, took out a cigarette, lit it, and stared through the smoke at the door of Winona's guest room.

Zachary sent Samuel a WhatsApp message: [If you were a woman, would you choose me or a fifty-year-old man?]

Samuel replied quickly, probably playing a game: [You're crazy.]

Zachary: [Just answer the question.]

This time the response was even faster, within a fraction of a second. A system message popped up: [Message sent but rejected by the recipient.]with a glaring red exclamation mark.

The next day, Winona went to Hillside Villa.

The entire villa was empty. She went straight to the third floor, and this time there was no piercing alarm.

The layout of the third floor was the same as the second, with the hallway clean and tidy. She opened one of the doors, and when she saw what was inside, she covered her mouth in shock, her eyes instantly welling up with tears.
