Chapter 533 None of You Will

Otis stared at the list in front of him, a list of employees who had been fired by the Bailey Group today. "These people worked under you, right? Fired for allegedly stealing company secrets. Do you think they can survive in Dreamopolis after this?" Samuel's voice echoed in the empty basement.

He added, "This is just today's list. There will be another one tomorrow."

Otis was breathing heavily, his fingers gripping the list tightly. Despite the dim light, the words on the paper were clear to him. He said, "I told you, I did it for the money. Someone offered me five million dollars to sabotage the new project. I've worked my whole life at the Bailey Group and never made that much. Now, I have a chance to change my fate. Why wouldn't I take it?"

He looked away from the list, indifferent. "These people are just my colleagues. Whether the Bailey Group fires them or not has nothing to do with me."

Samuel replied, "Fine, I believe you. So when these people were kicked out of the Bailey Group, I had someone tell them you took the money and ran off with your family."

Otis fell silent.

He glared at Samuel, who still exuded an air of nobility even in this rundown, dimly lit place. His anger and heavy breathing made his chubby face look twisted and grotesque. He exclaimed, "Where's my wife? My son? What did you do to them?"

Zachary stood in the shadows. Hearing the word 'wife' made him think of Winona, and he couldn't help but smile. He wondered what she was doing now.

Otis was shouting and struggling, but he was strapped to a modified chair, his wrists and ankles bound. No matter how much he struggled, he couldn't break free. Fortunately, the basement of this villa was soundproofed.

Samuel was already losing patience. He heard Zachary's light footsteps as he walked in, but when he turned around, he saw Zachary standing there like a fool, grinning.

He wanted to curse.

He rolled up his sleeves and glanced at his watch, though the dim light made it hard to see. He said, "I'm leaving."

Hearing this, Zachary stepped out of the shadows. The moment Otis saw Zachary's face, he stopped shouting, his mouth hanging open in shock.

"They're fine for now, though they've been harassed. But who knows what will happen next?" Zachary answered Otis's question and then patted Samuel on the shoulder. "Thanks. I'll have my assistant send you a gift tomorrow."

Samuel snorted, not expecting much from Zachary's so-called gift. When he finally received it, he wanted to smash it over Zachary's head.

Otis's eyes widened in surprise as he observed their familiar interaction. "Mr. Ramsey, you're with them?" he asked.

Zachary was supposed to be dead, lost at sea for so long that even a god couldn't survive. So this must be Nicholas, who looked almost identical to Zachary.

At that time, Zachary pulled a chair over with his foot and sat down leisurely. He said, "It seems the person behind you didn't tell you my true identity. I thought you were at least an essential talent, but it turns out you're just a mindless dog."Otis's voice shook. "What true identity?"

He had a bad feeling.

Zachary smirked. "Otis, it's only been a few months, but you don't recognize me? Maybe you didn't revise your work reports enough to remember me clearly."

At the mention of work reports, Otis's mind conjured up Zachary's cold face, identical to the one in front of him, down to the micro-expressions. He couldn't deny it. "Mr. Bailey, why are you..."

In his nervousness, he almost let something slip.

Zachary said, "Do you want to ask why I became Nicholas? Or why Timothy didn't kill me?"

Otis gritted his teeth, staring at Zachary.

Zachary continued, "Because Timothy plans to betray the person behind him. You should know by now that he relies on me more than on that person. He sees me as his brother. He saved me at sea. Do you think he would drag it out if he really wanted to kill me?" Zachary's eyes were deep. "You've been hiding for so many years. Don't you wonder why you were suddenly exposed?"

"You must be bluffing," Otis said, not being a fool.

"I'm not asking you anything, so what would I be bluffing about?" Zachary stood up and showed Otis a video on his phone. "I'm just here to tell you that your wife and kid are having a rough time."

In the video, Otis's home was under siege, surrounded by a crowd wielding sticks, pounding on the door and shouting his name, demanding he come out.

Zachary stood up. "Stay here for now. When this is over, I'll let you go. But I can't guarantee whether you'll see them again."

Otis screamed, "Zachary, you despicable bastard! The whole Bailey family is despicable! You killed Mr. Ramsey, and Timothy ended up in an orphanage, sold abroad, suffering all these years. It's all your fault. You won't die a good death. None of you will."

He was referring to Timothy's father, Alton Ramsey.

Few people knew the Bailey family had sent Timothy abroad.

Otis exclaimed, "I'm doing this to avenge Mr. Ramsey. Arrest me, call the police, but do you dare? Do your parents dare tell the police how Mr. Ramsey died?"

Zachary turned around and asked, "So it was Timothy who had you sabotage the project?"

Late at night, Winona got a call from Sarah. Lydia had a fever and was talking in her sleep, crying. Evander couldn't calm her down, so Sarah called Winona.

Hearing that Lydia's fever had reached 105.8 degrees Fahrenheit, Winona was instantly wide awake. She threw on some clothes and rushed to the Bailey Estate.

The villa was brightly lit. Sarah was making a late-night snack downstairs, the doctor was giving Lydia an IV, and Evander was smoking in the hallway. He had aged a lot in Zachary's absence, his hair almost entirely white.

Winona greeted him and went to the room. She touched Lydia's forehead, which was burning hot. The medicine seemed to be working, as Lydia had stopped crying and talking in her sleep.

Winona held Lydia's hand.

Lydia's lips moved, but she said something too softly for Winona to hear. Winona leaned closer. "Mom, what did you say?"
