Chapter 423 Male Model Pool Party

After splitting up with Matthew, Nicholas took off from Spring Delight.

In the car, Leon kept sneaking peeks at Nicholas through the rearview mirror while driving. Nicholas had his eyes shut, and it was hard to tell if he was asleep or just zoning out, but his face was totally blank.

Leon cautiously said, "Mr. Ramsey, today's Mr. Watson's birthday. Those pants Miss Sullivan bought are probably a gift for him, right?"

No answer from the back seat. After a bit, Nicholas slowly opened his eyes.

Nicholas, still expressionless, said, "Would you give a woman lingerie as a birthday gift without even wrapping it? Are you some kind of creep? I'm not into Miss Sullivan. Call the folks at Bailey Group and tell them we're done talking about the bid. Using such shady tactics is just too low."

While Nicholas was talking, Leon was quietly watching him, who frowned, showing only disgust and nothing else, so he asked, "Do you need me to report that Miss Sullivan is using her position to sexually harass you?"

Giving underwear as a gift was definitely workplace sexual harassment.

"Leon, do you know why your girlfriend dumped you?"

"Why?"

"Because you meddle too much."

It took Leon a couple of seconds to get what Nicholas meant. He was basically saying Leon was being nosy and ruining reputations.

Thinking about his job, Leon reluctantly asked, "Mr. Ramsey, you seem pretty concerned about Miss Sullivan."

"I don't like making things hard for women. Does that mean I'm concerned about every woman in your eyes?" Nicholas's eyes darkened, and his words were hinting at something. "If you want to stick around, just do your job and stop snooping like a spy."

The next day.

Rebecca had plans to go shopping with Winona. She had just come back from a trip to a remote village with some colleagues to collect goods. As soon as she got home, she couldn't wait to video call Winona.

"You have no idea, I smell so bad right now. I don't even dare to take an elevator with people, afraid they'll complain about me."

Winona knew that running an antique shop sometimes meant going out to collect goods, but with modern transportation, even rural areas had inns. It might be tiring, but it shouldn't make her smell bad. "How did it get so bad?"

"The place we went to was super remote. Cars couldn't get in, so we had to walk. The mountains were high and the roads were steep, with cliffs on one side and no guardrails. I felt like I was walking on clouds. On the way back, one of my colleagues was in a hurry, so we drove back without resting, except for bathroom breaks at service areas. Luckily, we collected a lot of good stuff, so it was worth it."

After venting, Rebecca asked, "How have you been? Are you getting used to working at Bailey Group?"

She didn't really approve of Winona giving up her career to go into business. Maybe most people just saw work as a way to make money, but she knew Winona genuinely loved artifact restoration. Influenced by her family, she had been passionate about it since childhood and had a talent and opportunities that others didn't. No one in this field had gained such fame and skill at such a young age as she did. It was a shame to give up something she loved.

But since Winona had made her decision, Rebecca didn't push her. She was always there for her. She couldn't help with business, but Winona could do whatever she wanted. If the Bailey Group ever went under, she could support Winona for life.

"It's okay. I'm still learning, and Evander and Dylan are handling most things," Winona said, not hiding anything from Rebecca. "But I've run into something pretty troubling lately."

Rebecca was munching on her food and looked at her, signaling her to go on.

After days of instant noodles and dry food, she ate quickly but not like she was starving.

"The young master of the Ramsey Family, Nicholas, who's all over the news right now, looks a lot like Zachary."

Rebecca swallowed her food and asked, "How much alike?"

She pulled out her phone to look up Nicholas, but there wasn't much info. Most of it was about Ramsey Group's recent activities. There were few details about him, not even a photo.

As she read, she said, "He was brought back last year and officially took over Ramsey Group at the end of July this year. The timing is fishy. Could he be Zachary?"

"Other than his face, nothing else is similar to Zachary. I can't be sure yet," Winona added, as if she had thought of something. "But his sharp tongue is quite similar. It's possible to change his demeanor and attire, but it's unlikely he could change his voice in such a short time."

Rebecca showed Winona a video about online dating scams. "Check this out. People can even change from male to female voices. With enough practice, it's not a big deal. There are plenty of tutorials online. Does Zachary have any distinctive, hard-to-change features? In TV shows, they always recognize people by birthmarks."

Winona said, "He has a scar on his leg from a car accident."

"So to recognize him, you have to lift his trousers and take a look?" Rebecca got excited. "If he doesn't admit his identity, how will he let you lift his trousers?"

If he admitted it, Winona wouldn't be so troubled and wouldn't be telling her how much he resembled Zachary.

"Lifting his trousers won't work."

"So you have to take off his trousers? That scar is in a very private place," Rebecca felt exasperated. "You had the energy to study the scar on his butt during sex?"

Winona corrected her with a deadpan expression, "It's on his leg."

"There isn't much of a difference. Can't you use a more conventional method? They say lovers can recognize each other even if they turn to ashes."

"Then there wouldn't be any living lovers in the world."

Rebecca thought for a moment. "The Blue Lagoon Club is hosting a pool party soon, inviting a lot of people and male models. Should I get you two invitations? You can give one to Mr. Ramsey?"
