Chapter 56 Fainted Due to Excessive Blood Loss

Mr. Miller intentionally lowered his voice as he spoke, perhaps to make it sound more deep and magnetic.

However, Winona was so startled that her whole body trembled, and she immediately threw her phone towards the source of the voice. With a loud thud, Mr. Miller let out a pained groan, covering his face with his hand. Blood streamed from between his fingers and fell onto the floor.

"Mr. Miller, are you alright?" Winona frantically tried to search for tissues in her bag but realized she didn't bring one. "I'm sorry, I was followed by someone when I was a child, so I'm sensitive to people approaching me. I tend to lose control easily."

Mr. Miller's pain was making it hard for him to think clearly, and he couldn't really hear what Winona was saying. If it weren't for his remaining sanity reminding him about the person's identity and the little bit of sympathy he had, he would have slapped her already!

The nosebleed continued to flow, and he suspected his nasal bridge might have been broken.

Damn, she really hit hard!

Winona said, "Mr. Miller, hold on for a moment. I'll go find a towel."

Five minutes later, the intense pain in Mr. Miller's nose finally subsided. He was about to leave the elevator when Winona came running back.

The next second, he felt everything go black in front of him, and a towel was suddenly placed over his face. Then, a hand covered his nose tightly, like an iron grip.

The previously eased pain in his nose returned, causing an acidic sensation in his teeth!

The pain made him break out in sweat, rendering him unable to say a word. He could only struggle to remove the towel.

"Mr. Miller, don't move. You have to press down hard like this to stop the bleeding. See, the bleeding has almost stopped, right?"

Mr. Miller, being pressed down, couldn't speak. The towel has absorbed all the blood, so how can it still be flowing!

Winona pressed his nose tightly through the towel, "When I used to have nosebleeds as a child, my mother would stop the bleeding like this, or I would lose too much blood and faint."

Mr. Miller felt suffocated by her grip and his vision started to blur. The towel she brought was big and thick, and now he was having difficulty breathing, feeling like the world was spinning.

He feared that he would be suffocated to death by this woman before losing too much blood!

The fear of suffocation allowed him to break free from dizziness. He forcefully pulled Winona's hand down. The towel fell to the ground, leaving Mr. Miller's nose, mouth, and face covered in blood. His nose was red and swollen, distorting his already ugly features!

He glared fiercely at the innocent-looking woman in front of him, "Mrs. Bailey, I don't know what I did to provoke you so much that you would punish me like this."

He pretended to be ignorant, and Winona followed suit. She blinked her eyes, "Mr. Miller, what are you saying? How could I tease you? Aren't our two families in a friendly cooperative relationship?"

"Don't act innocent. Do you think I would believe that it was unintentional just because you said so?"

Winona's voice was gentle, but her tone was cold, "Mr. Miller, you misunderstood. I never intended to tease you. Otherwise, would a man like you, who has their reproductive organ in their brain, be easily fooled by me?"

Since she had already torn his face apart, it was necessary to speak to him nicely again, "You better think about how to explain this to Zachary."

A hint of panic flashed in Mr. Miller's eyes. He ground his teeth, furious, "You really think highly of yourself! Just because someone gets close to you, you think they are trying to violate you? As a woman of your caliber, I can't imagine how many times you've thrown yourself at me every day. Do I need to have ulterior motives towards you?"

He kept pressing the elevator's open button, "I think you're sick. You better see a psychiatrist early, so you won't be suspicious all the time!"

The Bailey couple's relationship was not as good as it seemed. Those intimate gestures were for show, and Zachary probably couldn't be bothered with this woman's affairs.

"Mr. Miller..." Winona called out to him.

Mr. Miller turned around and was met with the woman's smiling face. Although his head was still buzzing, he couldn't help but be captivated.

Damn, she's so beautiful. If he didn't sleep with her, he would probably regret it for the rest of his life!

Winona's voice was soft, as if luring him, "Be smarter next time and find a place without surveillance."

But Mr. Miller didn't understand Winona's intention. Find a place without surveillance? What did she mean? If there's no surveillance, could he...

As soon as this thought arose...

As soon as Mr. Miller heard those words, he felt a rush of warmth throughout his body. He almost wanted to ask for more details, but thinking about it, he decided against it. Her statement was clear enough!

Looking at the woman's exquisite figure in the elevator, his previous malicious intentions resurfaced in his mind.

At that moment, a cleaning lady rushed out of the adjacent workroom, holding a walkie-talkie and saying, "Did anyone see the towel I used to mop the floor in the trailer? Please help me find it."

Mr. Miller froze in place and then glanced at the half-wet, blood-soaked rag on the floor that emitted a foul odor...

The hot springs at the hotel were natural and came in various sizes, with both public and private pools.

Winona bought some supplies from a clothing supermarket and also booked a small private pool.

The pool was built in a separate indoor area and had its own shower room and changing room. Winona undressed and stepped into the warm water, which instantly relieved the fatigue that had made her legs feel as heavy as lead.

Winona put on a face mask, leaned against the pool wall, enjoyed the comfortable temperature, and listened to the soothing sound of flowing water mixed with relaxing music. Her mind gradually sank into a drowsy haze.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, a strong sense of pressure suddenly approached her. Winona abruptly opened her eyes and realized there was someone else in the small pool that was originally meant for one person only!

She was startled and instinctively wanted to step back, but she forgot that she was leaning against the edge and ended up slipping on the slippery, wet pool wall, tumbling into the water and swallowing several mouthfuls.

The small size of the single-person pool allowed Zachary to effortlessly lift her up with a single hand...
