Chapter 325 Bags of Condoms

Zachary's face twisted in frustration. "Last night was supposed to be your safe period, and I don't think I finished inside."

He wasn't sure because he was rusty and hadn't had sex in ages. He had got too excited and lost control last night.

Winona shot him a look that screamed, "Are you serious?" "The safe period is just a guideline. It's not foolproof. Do you even get that?"

Zachary scoffed. "I'm not some gal pal."

"Who are you mocking? He always praises you, and here you are, throwing shade the moment you open your mouth."

Matthew praised him?

When rivals meet, sparks fly. It was shocking he didn't sabotage him, let alone praise him.

"What did he say about me?"

"He said you're good-looking and a hit with the ladies."

"Calling him a jerk is putting it mildly. He doesn't even have the guts to badmouth me directly."

Zachary got out of the car and headed to the pharmacy. "Do you have emergency contraceptive pills?"

The clerk, a young girl, froze with a smile when she heard his question. She had been about to ask for Zachary's number.

"Yes," she said, pulling out several boxes. "Which one do you want? They're effective within 72 hours."

Zachary read the instructions on the boxes more carefully than reading a multi-million dollar contract. "What's the difference?"

The clerk explained each one to him.

"Any side effects?"

The clerk was speechless.

It had been over half an hour since he asked for the emergency contraceptive pill, while her colleagues had already served four or five waves of customers.

She was on the verge of tears, just wanting to get him out of there. "These pills all have some side effects, so it's better to use regular contraceptive methods. These should only be used in emergencies."

Zachary picked the box with the least side effects, which was also the most expensive. "Do you have condoms?"

"Yes," the clerk pointed to a shelf next to the cash register. "There's nothing much to say about these. Just put them on."

Zachary picked up a box and was about to speak when the clerk quickly added, "No side effects, unlimited use."

In the car.

Winona's eyes hurt from scrolling through her phone. She glanced towards the pharmacy, but the large glass windows were covered with various flyers, blocking the view inside.

'Why is it taking so long to buy some medicine?' she thought.

Winona was getting impatient and was about to get out of the car when she saw Zachary walking out of the pharmacy with two bags.

The bags were bulging and angular.

Did he buy all the contraceptive pills in the pharmacy?

Zachary put the bags in the back seat and then walked around to the driver's seat.

Winona, worried that taking too long before taking the medicine might cause problems, reached for the bags. Hearing the driver's door open, she asked, "What took you so long to buy..."

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw the content of the bags.

In disbelief, Winona pulled down the opening of the bag, and the contents spilled out onto the leather seat.

All different brands of condoms.

So many, two whole bags full.

Winona looked at Zachary in disbelief. What kind of crazy person was this?

Zachary didn't even glance at her but seemed to know what she was about to say. "The doctor said to try more," he stated flatly.

Winona finally fished out the emergency contraceptive pills from the pile of condoms and snapped, "There's nothing wrong with you. You don't need treatment."

"How do you know? Are you a doctor?"

"I have..." Winona started but then swallowed her words. "You're still in your probation period, and these..." She picked up a box of condoms and tossed it at him. "Don't even think about it."

Zachary caught the box and smirked. "Isn't it because I'm in my probation period that I need to work harder? Ever seen a company keep an intern who slacks off?"

He leaned over to help her with her seatbelt, his eyes dark and voice husky, dripping with seduction. "Last night, I drank some aphrodisiac drink from last time, so I don't know if my body's fine or if it was the drink. If it's the latter, do we need to hire a bartender at home after I get confirmed?"

Winona looked at his flawless face and couldn't help but swallow. Blatant seduction!

Zachary moved in closer, his voice even huskier. "And the doctor also said I should try more."

Winona snapped back to reality, almost getting drawn in. "Do you still want to pass your probation period? Drive."

"Alright."

Zachary regretfully tossed the item in his hand to the back seat and drove off.

That night, Winona stayed in the guest room. Zachary tried to follow her in but was turned away.

Even though he had tried to be gentle last night, he still had hurt her.

Zachary couldn't do anything about it. Even if he was unwilling, he had to retreat to the master bedroom when she said she was still recovering

In a villa in Dreamopolis.

Eva went berserk, smashing everything in the room until it was a complete mess. When there was nothing left to throw, she stopped, leaning against the table and panting heavily.

"Dad actually hit me. He never hit me before, and now he does it for an outsider," Eva fumed, ripping off her mask to reveal two bright red slap marks. "Look at my face. Is it ruined?"

The man standing hunched by the door glanced at her and quickly lowered his head again. "No."

Eva rolled her eyes at his words.

"But he wants to send me back to A City," Eva gritted her teeth, clenching her fists tightly. "I can't go back to A City. The Turner family is now under Uncle Frank's control. Even for pocket money, I need Uncle Frank's signature. I want to stay in Dreamopolis, marry Zachary, and become Mrs. Bailey, stepping into the circle of Dreamopolis's elite."

Eva looked at the mess on the floor, her eyes filled with determination. She turned and beckoned to the man. "Come here, I need you to do something for me."

The man walked over, and Eva whispered a few instructions to him.

"Eva..." He got excited and forgot his place, quickly correcting himself. "Miss Turner, Mr. Turner instructed you not to interfere with matters here."

Eva looked at him with disgust. "Who do you think you are, calling me by my name? Do what I told you, discreetly. Don't let my dad find out. How would he know who did it?"
