Chapter 151 Emerald Estate

Steven asked Frank to communicate with Brock, and then he prepared to set off.

Frank said, "That's easy. I told him to give me some time to trick you. So, he's been waiting for my news!"

He added, "You can tell he's also very eager for the supplies you have, especially the snowmobiles and food. If you agree, we can go over tomorrow!"

Steven nodded. "Alright, then communicate with him in front of me!"

Steven confiscated Frank's phone to prevent him from doing anything bad behind his back.

Frank obediently communicated with Brock in front of Steven, and they easily agreed on a time for the next day.

"Wait for my message." Steven took the phone and went home to prepare weapons and equipment.

Elinor saw him busy again and couldn't help but ask, "Didn't you solve all the problems in the neighborhood? Where are you going now?"

"To a better place. Don't ask too much; I'll tell you when the time comes." Steven said calmly.

Elinor obediently closed her mouth; she wouldn't ask things she shouldn't.

Before Steven left, he thought for a moment and left half a month's worth of food for her and Henry.

In case something happened to him, this food could keep them alive for half a month.

Elinor looked worried; Steven had never done something like this before.

She suddenly felt very scared, walked over, and hugged Steven tightly. "Steven, you're not going to do something dangerous, are you? I'm a little scared."

Her tall and slender figure combined with her soft and full body would make any man feel tempted when she hugged them.

This was her natural advantage; perhaps she didn't intend to seduce others, but her charm was innate and unavoidable.

Steven raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile, "So, you're up for one more round of sex before I leave?"

Elinor blushed, "Do as you please. Just this once, I'll go along with you. I can wear just a white shirt or an apron."

Steven smiled and pinched her delicate chin. "Don't worry. I never do anything I'm not confident about. I'm more afraid of death than anyone; I won't put myself in danger." He added, "So I always prepare for everything in advance; it's my personal habit."

He pulled Elinor's head close and kissed her hard. After a long time, he finally let go, leaving Elinor almost out of breath.

A delicate thread of liquid slowly detached itself, leaving a glistening trace at the corner of her lips.

"I have something important to do this afternoon. I'll play with you when I get back!"

Elinor lay weakly on the sofa, blushing, and nodded in agreement.

Steven left the house with a smile and then went to knock on Frank's door. "Frank, open the door!"

Frank came over and opened the door, surprised to see Steven.

"Mr. Rogers, what else do you need?"

Steven, wearing cut-resistant gloves, gestured with his thumb, "Let's go. We're leaving!"

Frank's eyes widened. "Didn't we agree to go tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow?" Steven sneered.

"I told him tomorrow, so if we go today, we can catch him off guard, can't we?"

Frank opened his mouth, thinking, 'You're so cunning!'

But he still had to give a thumbs up. "Brilliant. You're really brilliant!"

Steven had another reason for doing this.

People were naturally suspicious. Brock might be a rich scion and reckless, but he was not stupid.

If everything went too smoothly, he would become suspicious.

Steven's sudden decision would make Brock think Steven had really fallen into the trap.

Steven took Frank downstairs and pretended to get the snowmobile.

Frank was about to get on but was stopped by Steven.

He took out a white zip tie and said to Frank, "Put your hands out!"

These plastic zip ties were used on construction sites to bind steel pipes, extremely strong, and the more you struggled, the tighter they got. They're almost as good as handcuffs.

Frank pleaded with a bitter face. "Why don't you trust me now? I'm really on your side, and I'm even poisoned!"

Steven said calmly, "There's no particular reason. It just makes me feel more at ease. And when we get to Brock, he'll believe you more if he sees you tied up!"

Though very reluctant, Frank knew resisting was useless, so he obediently put his hands out.

After that, Steven had Frank sit in front of the snowmobile while he drove from behind.

The snowmobile started and headed out of the neighborhood.

The wind and snow hit Frank's face like small knives, hurting badly and making it hard to keep his eyes open.

If he weren't wearing a thick turtleneck sweater, his face might have been frostbitten.

"The wind hurts my face. Do you have an extra helmet?" he asked.

Steven, wearing a bulletproof helmet, said coldly, "No. Just bear with it for a while. Besides, the worse you look, the more convincing it is."

Frank felt like crying inside.

An hour later, they arrived near the most upscale villa area in Starlight City—Emerald Estate.

Upon arrival, Steven looked around and was somewhat stunned.

This place was just too good, with nothing to criticize!

He had seen luxurious villas and skyscrapers before, but this villa area, just in terms of location, surpassed other high-end villas.

Emerald Estate was backed by two mountains, with the Mississippi River in front of it.

From a distance, the terrain looked like a reclining chair, with Emerald Estate in the middle.

Behind it was a natural barrier, with wind passing between the two mountains and falling towards the Mississippi River in front.

The construction of the Estate must have been guided by professionals.

Southern businessmen were particular about location, so it was natural for such a luxurious villa area to have an excellent location.

But what impressed Steven the most was that, because Emerald Estate was shielded by the two mountains, it became a natural windbreak.

After heavy snow, the wind would blow the snow between the mountains towards the Mississippi River.

As a result, while other places had snow piled up over 50 feet, the snow here was only about 10 feet.

"I used to think that when the apocalypse came, it would be fair to most people," Steven said.

"But now it seems even God favors the rich." He sighed.

Frank flattered Steven. "What's the use of that? Compared to Mr. Rogers, those rich people here are living much worse!"

Steven smirked. "Stop flattering me. Get down and lead the way!"

Frank curiously asked, "Aren't we driving further in?  It'll take quite a while if we walk."

Steven said calmly, "Just get down and walk.No more nonsense!"
