Chapter 478 Multilateral Talks

Not long after, Neil strolled out of the church and invited Otha inside to meet Natasha.

Otha walked in alone.

He spotted a girl in her early twenties, dressed in a white holy robe.

They chatted inside the church for quite a while.

About ten minutes later, Otha emerged from the church.

His face was always unreadable, giving nothing away.

Theron and the others couldn't wait to ask, "Captain, how was it? Is Natasha really a Level 5?"

Otha replied coolly, "My eyes couldn't tell."

He added, "But there's definitely something off about this Natasha."

Everyone was taken aback, and Eris asked curiously, "What's wrong with her?"

Otha pointed to his temple. "Here."

"Is she crazy or something?" Everyone exclaimed in surprise.

A big cult like Snowfall Cult, and its leader had mental issues?

"But it makes sense." Theron laughed, "After all, people who run religious cults are either con artists or devout lunatics!"

Otha agreed wholeheartedly.

Theron was spot on. During his chat with Natasha, he could feel her intense religious fervor.

She genuinely believed that gods existed in the world, which floored Otha.

No wonder Neil handled the daily affairs of the cult.

A pure believer in gods would either act too idealistically or too crazily, making it tough to keep a large cult stable.

"Anyway, we'll assess her abilities slowly later!" Otha said calmly. "After we deal with the zombie problem, we'll have plenty of time to handle this."

Confirming whether Natasha was LV5 would take a lot of time and evidence. She would stay in the Snowfall Cult, so there was no rush.

Soon after, people from other factions started arriving one after another.

Following Otha's orders, they all brought their most powerful forces, including tanks, cannons, and almost all fully armed combat members.

Thousands of soldiers from the three major bases, a large convoy, and terrifying mutant dogs all gathered on Snowfall Cult's territory, creating quite a spectacle, making the followers of Snowfall Cult feel immense pressure.

Steven and his group also showed up.

Steven got out of the car and then held Elinor's hand to help her down. "Stay by my side and don't wander off! I'll find a safe spot for you later."

Faced with Steven's tenderness, Elinor nodded happily.

The group headed towards the obvious landmark of Snowfall Cult, the Church of the Holy Ground.

On the way, Steven spotted his classmate Sebastian.

Sebastian waved and greeted Steven.

Steven asked, "How did you get here later than us?"

From the distance, Frostwood Base was clearly closer.

Sebastian smiled casually, "Had a lot to handle at the factory. We can't be as carefree as you."

Steven raised an eyebrow.

The two exchanged a few pleasantries but didn't chat much.

Everyone was puzzled about why Otha had called them here and didn't know what to discuss.

On a personal level, they weren't very close, so there wasn't much to talk about.

After they arrived, someone from Snowfall Cult came to guide them.

Steven left Elinor and the others outside and walked into the church with Sebastian.

Being a famous landmark in Starlight City before, the Church of the Holy Ground had attracted many visitors, including Steven. But to him, it was just for fun.

When they stepped inside, they saw that everyone else—Otha, Neil, Megan, and Leonard—was already there, seated.

But a woman in a white holy robe, who Steven had never seen before, caught his attention instantly.

She was wrapped up tightly, revealing only her youthful face, yet her expression was devout and solemn.

Steven immediately guessed who she was—she could only be Natasha, the leader of Snowfall Cult.

Steven couldn't help but take a second look.

After all, she was rumored to have the special ability to awaken Supernatural abilities in people.

Sebastian, seeing Natasha for the first time, couldn't help but say to Steven, "She looks so young! Maybe she's even underage."

Steven glanced at him. "Underage for what? Watch your words and control your instincts."

Sebastian's eye twitched. "Come on, what nonsense are you talking about! You know me, I've only ever liked older women!"

Steven said calmly, "That's ture. I've heard you had an eight-year relationship with a woman twelve years older than you while working at the factory."

Having lived in the same community for years, such gossip naturally didn't escape Steven's ears.

Sebastian's face turned red. "You... you don't understand! I was young then, and she was still charming. We loved each other!"

Steven glanced at him. "I didn't say you were wrong! After all, lacking motherly love isn't a big deal."

"You son of a—" Sebastian was so angry he wanted to punch Steven.

But considering his current status, he could only retort verbally. "Steven, you don't understand love! You're a cold, emotionless guy!"

Steven heard this and a trace of reminiscence flashed in his eyes.

Then he sneered. "Love? Love is the cruelest thing in the world!"

As they chatted, they reached the others, who were all watching them coldly, so they stopped chatting, each finding a place to sit.

Otha immediately recounted what happened last night.

"Last night, we killed a Zombie King."

"It turns out that when a Zombie King is killed, the entire zombie horde loses control. And the rat swarms that move with the zombies also lose their organization."

"So the key to solving the zombie problem in Starlight City is to kill all the Zombie Kings!"

Hearing that the investigation team had quickly killed a Zombie King, everyone's eyes showed a hint of shock, except for Steven and Megan.

Having anticipated it, Steven wasn't shocked much. But still, he was surprised by their efficiency.

After all, they had also ventured underground to try and kill a Zombie King but had ultimately failed.

As for Megan, she knew that the Zombie King killed last night must have been the one near their Emberwick Base.

Sebastian curiously asked, "What exactly is a Zombie King? Can you explain it in detail?"

"Of course." Otha needed their help to eliminate the zombie hordes, so he didn't hide this information.
