Chapter 45 Decision to Launch an Aggressive Attack

In the 25 buildings, Andrew and others successively robbed several households, directly or indirectly causing the deaths of five people.

This situation prompted many residents in the building to unite.

Their solution to this problem was to stay together but not scatter.

They blocked the doors with heavy objects to prevent Andrew and others from breaking in.

As for fetching water, they did so through the window.

Some residents on certain floors had balconies, which also caught the falling snow.

On Alice's side, they all moved in together to Grace Griffin's home on the 18th floor.

Grace was Paul's cousin and ran a cosmetics business in Starlight City, making her an independent businesswoman.

Therefore, she had some assets, living in a three-bedroom apartment just like Steven.

The other people were all colleagues from her company and close friends.

In the post-apocalyptic world, even when everyone had to stick together, they only trusted reliable individuals.

Alice and Ivy were allowed to come over only because Paul guaranteed for them.

The condition for their arrival was revealing the situation at Steven's home.

At that moment, a group of people sat in the living room, wrapped in thick-down jackets and scarves around their necks, wishing to cover themselves entirely.

Due to Steven's refusal to the proposal of living together, everyone's mood was somewhat off.

Grace looked at Alice and Ivy and said, "I agreed to let you in before because of Paul's assurance and your promise to convince Steven to let us in."

"Now that Steven is unwilling, what do you suggest we do?"

Paul was a very loyal pursuer of Alice, but Grace was not easily fooled; she could tell that these two girls were not easy to deal with.

Therefore, without the condition of involving Steven, Grace would not have let them join.

Alice hurriedly said, "Mrs. Griffin, listen to me. Steven's house is really well-stocked, and it even has a fireplace!"

"If we can move into his house, our days ahead will be much better."

After being repeatedly rejected by Steven, Alice no longer harbored any illusions about him.

So they ended up betraying all the information about Steven's home, including the photos and videos he sent them.

Ivy added, "Yes, you've seen the videos. You should understand how comfortable Steven's house is now."

"If we all work together to move into Steven's house, we can not only resist Andrew but also live comfortably."

Upon hearing this, Grace and the others couldn't help but take out their phones again to watch the videos Alice had forwarded to them.

In the videos, scenes from Steven's house were eye-catching, making them envious.

Grace frowned, "But his attitude is clear; he doesn't want us to move in."

At this point, Larry, who was wearing glasses, raised his voice, "He's so selfish, completely disregarding others' well-being."

He added, "With someone like him, we don't need to be too polite. I say, since he's alone in his house, why don't we use some special methods!"

Larry's words caught everyone's attention.

It was evident that everyone understood Larry's suggestion—storm into Steven's house and force him to give up the house!

His friend, Louis Wallace, loudly supported, "I think that's a good idea! This selfish person only thinks of himself, doesn't consider others, so why does he deserve to live in such a nice house?"

Grace frowned slightly, "But according to Paul, his house has a sturdy security door. We are not like Andrew and his group; we are not good at this!"

Paul added, "Yes, and Steven is particularly despicable. Last time we went to knock on his door, he actually poured urine on us from above!"

Recalling that incident made Alice and Ivy almost vomit, the smell still lingering on their hair and skin.

If it weren't for the cold weather causing their stuffy noses, the smell could have suffocated them.

Larry raised his glasses and sneered, "This is actually easy. As long as we wrap ourselves up tightly, wear masks, and carry umbrellas, he won't be able to do much."

"As for breaking in..."

He looked at Louis.

Louis cleared his throat, taking over Larry's speech, "I used to work for a locksmith company; I'm familiar with this kind of thing. I can open various locks commonly used on the market!"

Upon hearing Louis's words, Alice and the others were excited, almost jumping up.

"Great! As long as we can open his security door, with so many of us, Steven won't stand a chance!" Alice cursed through gritted teeth.

After all her pleading with Steven and being rejected, along with the various humiliations he had subjected her to, Alice harbored deep hatred towards Steven!

"When I get in, I will definitely shove his head into the toilet and make him eat shit!"

Paul, eager to help, added, "I'll be in charge of pulling the shit out!"

Paul's crude remark made Alice uncomfortable, but for now, but she needed Paul, so she smiled and said, "Sure, sure, make sure to eat plenty of beans and onions."

The group was in high spirits.

They believed that with so many of them working together, Steven wouldn't stand a chance.

So, they grabbed umbrellas, wrapped themselves up tightly, and armed themselves with tools to break in, heading towards Steven's house.

Steven's house was equipped with an alarm system that would automatically alert him if there was any movement on his floor.

Therefore, as the group climbed the stairs, Steven was immediately alerted.

Through the surveillance cameras, he saw the group. With their full-body coverings, Steven mistook them for Andrew and his gang.

"You've come at the right time. I didn't finish you off last time. Giving you a lesson now wouldn't hurt."

Steven sneered.

However, he had no intention of letting Andrew die just yet.

If Andrew died, who would deal with these annoying neighbors in the building?

It would be less entertaining without that drama.

The group, wrapped up tightly, arrived near Steven's house and immediately opened their umbrellas.

Now, whether Steven used water or stink bombs, he couldn't drive them away in the short term.

All of this was based on Alice's information.

She naively thought that even with all the defenses in place at Steven's house, resources were ultimately limited within a single house.

Spraying water and using stink bombs were Steven's last resort.
