Chapter 195 Crushed Ice

Earl's ability could indeed create visual interference for Steven's attacks, but the range he could affect wasn't large enough. If he protected himself, he couldn't protect others.

People were fleeing in panic all over the ice, and Steven could kill anyone he wanted.

If Earl wanted to protect himself, he would have to let the villagers of Cox Village die.

After all, they attacked first. No matter how many Steven killed, he wouldn't feel a thing.

The military Magnum Sniper Rifle, combined with Steven's supernatural ability, produced terrifying power!

One shot pierced through three people, and the air was filled with a mist of blood from their shattered bodies.

Without missing a beat, Steven smoothly pulled the bolt of his rifle, reloaded, and fired once more. The bullet tearing through two more bodies with lethal precision.

Each dog sled was crowded with three or four people, and they were carrying the bodies of their loved ones, making it impossible to run fast.

Soon, someone realized the problem and shouted, "Throw away the bodies! Run quickly!"

The villagers of Cox Village looked pained; they were carrying the bodies of their own relatives!

In rural areas, the concept of burying loved ones was particularly important. Even in death, they must bury the bodies so that the souls could rest in peace and bless their descendants.

However, with Steven in hot pursuit, they had no other choice.

Soon, a pile of bodies was thrown onto the ice.

Although this caused some hindrance to Steven's progress, it wasn't significant. A vehicle, no matter how slow, couldn't be slower than a dog.

Gunshots rang out continuously; the sound of the gunfire was so shocking, and with each shot, several villagers died.

Seeing his fellow villagers fall one by one, Earl felt immense pain.

His cousin, George Cox, who had pulled him up, shouted anxiously, "Earl, think of something!"

Others also looked at Earl, their eyes filled with pleading and hope.

Only a Psychic could deal with another Psychic.

Earl felt like his head was about to split; the heavy psychological pressure nearly broke him.

Yet, in this abyss of despair, a spark of ingenuity flared to life within him, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness.

Facing the path Steven was taking, Earl opened his right hand, and a faint blue light began to shine in his eyes.

Earl slowly exerted force with his right hand. A crisp sound appeared on the ice, and suddenly, a long crack appeared on a large section of the ice.

Earl continued to exert force, and the crack began to widen. The affected area of broken ice grew larger with each passing moment..

Steven was in pursuit when his snowmobile suddenly tilted forward, causing his gun to go askew.

Steven quickly grabbed the car window, and the snowmobile, having lost balance, automatically braked.

The vehicle tilted to one side, forcing Steven to temporarily stop his pursuit.

He jumped out of the window and looked ahead, seeing a huge crack on the ice, over 50 feet long from left to right!

The area where the wheel was stuck had an even larger crack, with half the tire sunk into it.

This scene made Steven's gaze deepen.

The ice beneath was at least 20 feet thick, so Earl couldn't completely break it to make him fall into the river.

However, just as Steven's supernatural ability could be continuously developed, Earl's ability might also become even stronger in the future.

A Psychic who could control ice and snow would become incredibly powerful in this ice age, which was unimaginable! Long-range attacks and large attack areas, combined with the ice age environment, had enormous potential.

Fortunately, Steven's supernatural ability had an absolute defense, which could counter Earl's long-range attacks.

Steven looked into the distance; the people of Cox Village had fled while his vehicle was stuck.

Steven raised his sniper rifle and aimed at those who had crossed the ice and entered the chaotic woods behind.

Steven fired two more shots, randomly killing two villagers from Cox Village.

He stopped only when their figures completely disappeared.

"Looks like I can't fight them on the ice anymore." Steven cautiously said, looking at the long crack beneath his feet.

"If his supernatural ability were stronger, or if the ice were thinner, I would have fallen into the icy water with my vehicle." Steven exhaled a puff of white smoke, took off his tactical goggles, and used the extradimensional space to right the snowmobile, driving it back to Emerald Estate.

The southern route was a mess, with three-quarters of the traps destroyed, leaving only about 160 feet in front of the villa intact.

But there was no need to feel bad about it, as he had killed enough intruders.

Steven planned to find time to clean up the area and set up the traps again.

Back home, Nora lay weakly on the couch, her face pale.

The bloody scene tonight had made her vomit all her meals for the day.

Elinor, though outwardly displeased with her cousin, still helped massage Nora's head to relax her.

Seeing Steven return, Elinor asked, "How did it go? Did you catch the Psychic who attacked us last time?"

Nora also raised her beautiful eyes, weakly looking at Steven.

Steven replied indifferently, "No. That guy is very cautious and never dares to face me head-on. His ability to escape is too annoying, making him hard to kill."

Mainly, Steven was too cautious and didn't want to enter the opponent's territory. Otherwise, in a life-and-death battle, he almost had no chance of losing to Earl.

Nora's eyes lowered, and she weakly asked, "Steven, aren't you afraid of being sentenced for killing so many people? Killing is illegal."

Her tone was soft, lacking strength.

Steven sensed her wavering from her tone.

Previously, Nora firmly believed that the snow disaster was but a fleeting nightmare, not an apocalypse foretelling doom. She harbored a steadfast hope that the world would, one day, revert to its former glory, and she, the radiant superstar, would reclaim her rightful place beneath the spotlight's embrace.

However, today, seeing hundreds of people die horribly in front of her, her faith wavered.

Steven raised an eyebrow, walked over to her with a smile, and pinched her small, delicate face. Her face felt great, very soft and smooth.

He didn't explain, just asked back, "What do you think?"

Nora's eyes lowered, and she didn't speak.

Perhaps she knew that waiting for the return of civilized society was just an unattainable dream. But sometimes, people didn't want to face reality.

Steven stood up and rubbed his stomach.

After fighting for so long, he was a bit hungry.

"Elinor, I'm a bit hungry. Make me something to eat!"

Elinor immediately left Nora, "Sure, what do you want to eat?"

"Beef Tacos and Chitterlings."

When Nora heard these dishes, her face turned even paler, and she couldn't help but gag.

Steven looked down at her with a smile. "Why are you so weak? How about you eat some, too, to nourish yourself?"

Nora, red with anger, said, "Are you a devil?"

Seeing her angry face, Steven felt very pleased.

He leaned close to Nora's ear, "How about I give you some high-nutrition liquid I produced?"

Nora's face turned even redder, but this time, she didn't refuse.
