Chapter 60 Bounty on Andrew

Outside the window, the continuous cries of supplication were heartbreaking. Their heads were bleeding from knocking them so hard, which was truly tragic.

Steven sighed and walked to the window, saying, "Everyone, please don't be like this. It hurts me to see you like this!"

With that, he raised the steaming hot plate of pasta in his hand.

"When I feel bad, I just want to eat something."

Steven slurped down the noodles, making the neighbors salivate with envy.

Upon hearing this, the cries and head-banging intensified.

"Steven, we were wrong. We just want to survive!"

"If you could spare us some food, let us live like dogs, that would be enough."

"Whatever you want us to do in the future, we'll obey you, okay?"

Steven lowered his head and continued eating the pasta.

Eating noodles heartily when hungry is such a great joy!

After finishing half a bowl, he casually placed the rest by the French window.

In front of the neighbors, just a window away, they could see the food but couldn't have any.

Everyone pressed their faces against the glass like dogs, as if that could make the food magically appear in their mouths.

"Don't blame me for not giving you a chance. Whoever brings me Andrew's head now, I'll provide this pasta for a week, ensuring he's fully satisfied at every meal!"

Actually, Steven had no pity for these people.

But their daily wall-smashing and window-chiseling were quite annoying.

So, why not let them turn on each other?

That would be the most interesting thing.

When Steven said this, he also sent it to a large group, informing everyone in the building.

The neighbors in front of the glass window hesitated upon hearing his words.

Andrew had a gun, and if they wanted his head, they might lose their own.

Dealing with Andrew was difficult, but they clearly had no way to deal with Steven!

There were already thirty to forty bodies around Steven's house.

It turned out Steven was much more challenging to handle than Andrew!

At that moment, Andrew was observing the situation from the neighboring balcony.

He didn't hear what Steven said but frowned, contemplating his next move.

Just then, he also lost two of his men.

To continue controlling the entire building, he needed to recruit more people.

While contemplating, Andrew suddenly felt a sharp sensation on his back, making his hair stand on end.

He quickly turned around, raising the gun in his hand, only to find everyone looking at him strangely. "What do you want?"

Seeing the gun, some were wary and immediately backed away.

"Get out of here, all of you!" Andrew roared.

The strange looks people gave him were eerie, almost as if they were looking at food rather than a person.

Shivering, Andrew left with his men.

"Wait, what about Steven's house?"

Larry asked from the side.

Andrew cursed, "Damn it, we can't break through. What else can we do? We'll figure something out later!"

With that, he grumbled and left.

The two groups in front of Steven's window, one begging and the other trying to break in, couldn't bear the bone-chilling cold and eventually left, too.

Steven lay in his warm house, waiting to watch the show.

After this incident, the building lost around forty people.

Almost everyone had participated in invading his house, causing significant physical exhaustion.

This scarcity of resources made the struggle between people even more terrifying.

Soon, Steven received many private messages.

After this battle, the neighbors had completely surrendered.

With their limited energy nearly depleted, they could no longer launch large-scale attacks on Steven's house.

Facing Steven's well-defended home, they gave up.

Many began begging Steven for mercy or proposing trades.

For example, the rich scion Frank.

He had his girlfriend photographed all over, saying to Steven, "Steven, I can give you my woman. Just give me some food, please?"

"She's a famous car model in Starlight City. Look at her appearance and face, both top-notch! I assure you, you'll like her, help me out!"

Steven naturally recognized the model. Frank had bought a house here just to keep her.

She usually dressed provocatively, like a seductress, always exuding an alluring aura.

In the past, she couldn't be bothered to look at the men around her.

But now, Frank was willing to sell her for a few meals.

And this woman looked much more haggard now, seemingly very willing to be exchanged.

At least, she knew Steven's house had plenty of food, so she worked hard during the shoot.

"She's really a worthless woman!" Steven sneered.

Undeniably, the model had a great figure and a beautiful face.

But Steven wouldn't let such shameless women in.

He did not know whetherone day she would stab him while he's asleep, then take over his home.

A woman who sold her body for money had no moral bottom line.

Steven disdainfully watched her video five times, then contemptuously closed the chat box.

There were more conversations below.

Fewer men contacted him.

After all, they didn't have the capital to exchange food with Steven.

Only Henry, delighted, congratulated Steven on repelling the enemies.

But more women reached out to him.

Like Alice, excitedly saying, "Honey, you're amazing! I knew you'd be okay."

"I can't come over right now, they're despicable, keeping me locked up at home. Don't worry, and I will definitely come to you!"

Steven chuckled and ignored her.

Night fell quickly, with darkness setting in around 5 PM, the days shorter and the nights longer.

On TV, the few remaining channels were still broadcasting programs.

"With official efforts, the snow disaster in our country is improving. Please don't worry, and the problem will soon be resolved."

"The weather is freezing, please avoid going out casually to prevent frostbite. Please provide assistance to those in need."

"Let's work together to overcome the current challenges. Tomorrow will be better!"

Steven found the news more interesting than comedy shows now.

But he was also curious: where had these TV stations moved to? And how were they still operating?

Listening to the interesting news and browsing through chat records, Steven found the neighbors' curses, pleas, and requests very entertaining.

Most of the people who cursed him had lost family members.

When Steven was in a good mood, he would even bless them.

"Congratulations to those of you who've lost family members, you can roast meat for the funeral, mix the ashes with rice!"

Steven teased them playfully, making them curse even more fiercely.

Suddenly, he noticed movement on the balcony.

Curious, Steven walked to the window.

Due to heavy snow, the outside was well-lit.

He saw people secretly moving burnt bodies.

More precisely, bodies that had already been cremated.

These people were heavily wrapped up, and when they noticed Steven watching them, they were startled.

"Steven, we're not here to harm you, please don't misunderstand!"

"We're just here to move the bodies."

Their voices trembled, and they dared not look at Steven.

Steven smirked.

"Moving bodies? Are you their family members?"

"And if you're burying them, just throw them down below. Are you planning to build a graveyard inside your house?"

These people didn't know how to respond to Steven's questions.

"An...anyway, you don't need these bodies, so you don't have to worry about us."

With guilty hearts, they quickly left, dragging the bodies away.

Steven waved his hand at the glass.

"You guys are quite ruthless. Have humans really come to this?"
