Chapter 347 Snowfall Cult

Cindy glanced at everyone and said calmly, "It's not because this faction is particularly powerful, but simply because it's quite unique."

She tapped the Enter key and moved on to the next faction's information. "Snowfall Cult, a religious organization established after the apocalypse. Its predecessor was a niche religion in Starlight City called Shinrikyo religion."

She added, "The leader, Natasha Carter, is a mixed-race individual from the Astralium Kingdom and Solstice. After the apocalypse, she awakened a Supernatural ability. Preliminary judgment suggests her ability is called 'Blessing,' which can help other Psychics awaken their Supernatural abilities without any cost."

Steven suddenly recalled that Henry had mentioned the existence of Snowfall Cult to him before.

Henry's expression also turned serious; after all, he had personally interacted with people from Snowfall Cult.

Moreover, they had all seen a living example of someone awakened by Blessing—Chase!

"Is there really such a powerful Supernatural ability in this world?" Lily asked, her face full of surprise.

She still remembered that when she gained her Supernatural ability, she was in a near-death state and only vaguely grasped that feeling.

As for the others in the room, they all gained their Supernatural abilities in near-death situations.

But that person named Natasha Carter could directly help people awaken their Supernatural abilities.

Just with this ability alone, she could gather countless powerful Psychics as subordinates.

Steven's expression became more serious. If that was the case, the power of Snowfall Cult was truly terrifying.

And since it existed in the form of a religion, using the condition of helping others awaken their Supernatural abilities, it would surely attract many Psychics to their side.

In other words, Snowfall Cult had unlimited growth potential!

Everyone realized the severity of the issue, their expressions turning grave.

Cindy continued reading, "After the apocalypse, Shinrikyo religion was renamed Snowfall Cult, with Natasha revered as the leader. She claims to be the earthly embodiment of the Snow God and asserts that this heavy snow is the Snow God's cleansing of the world, paring only the devout followers of the Snowfall Cult. The cult's influence is concentrated in the Seldwa and Stardale Districts. They have a considerable number of Psychics, although the exact number is unknown."

"In the intelligence from West Mountain Base, they are marked as particularly troublesome opponents," Cindy added.

Steven, with his hands crossed under his chin, said very seriously, "Seldwa District and Stardale District are the most densely populated areas in Starlight City. Preaching there can quickly expand the scale of Snowfall Cult. After all, in the apocalypse, religion develops the fastest because people seek spiritual solace."

"However, apart from having a large population, these two districts don't have other core resources. So, it seems that the death toll there would also be the highest." Steven was puzzled. "How do they sustain themselves?"

Food and heating were the most important conditions for survival.

The shelter had bases built years ago and a large stockpile of supplies, which Steven had prepared for.

What did they rely on?

Cindy couldn't explain it either; she shook her head and replied, "This is all the information I have. Every faction has its secrets. Maybe they eat meat!"

Steven nodded. "That's true. How could I forget such an important food source?"

He couldn't help it; his quality of life was so good that he was somewhat unaware of the hardships of the world.

"This kind of cult must have various ways to brainwash their followers, like saying the meat is a holy sacrament or something!" Steven said with a mischievous smile, which made everyone get goosebumps.

"That joke is really not funny!" someone exclaimed.

However, the atmosphere in the room became more lively.

Steven thought of the two groups of people he had encountered outside West Mountain Base.

One group was from Silverlake Base, and the other group, not wearing uniforms, was probably from Snowfall Cult.

But at that time, they didn't show any hostility toward Steven. So Steven didn't have any bad feelings towards them either.

As long as others didn't disturb his peaceful life, he didn't care what they did.

At this point, Cindy had finished introducing the largest factions in Starlight City.

The information was very brief and scarce, but it was enough to give everyone a basic understanding of the situation in Starlight City.

Steven, sitting on the sofa, looked at the people deep in thought and said, "Does anyone have anything to say?"

Everyone looked at each other, each having some opinions they wanted to express.

Steven said to Henry, "Henry, you're the oldest here, you go first!"

Henry didn't decline, crossing his arms and seriously saying, "I think no matter how many factions there are in Starlight City, it's definitely right for us to be prepared for any enemies, and the most urgent task now is to build the defense line. We got so many weapons from West Mountain Base; it would be a waste not to use them!"

Steven nodded; the defense line definitely needed to be expedited, as no one knew when these factions might clash with them.

After all—Steven had already taken out people from Silverlake Base, including a Psychic!

If the other side discovered the truth, a conflict would be inevitable.

After Henry finished speaking, Earl, sitting next to him, said worriedly, "I think the situation is very bad!"

Earl was a typical pessimist, spreading negative emotions as soon as he spoke. "We saw people from two factions outside West Mountain Base. If they find out that West Mountain Base has been wiped out, they might come to fight for the territory. At that time, the surrounding areas could become a battlefield. If we get caught in the crossfire, it would be a big problem," Earl said.

Steven looked at Earl and asked, "Do you have any good suggestions?"

Earl frowned, deep in thought, but his chubby face always made people want to punch him when he made that expression.

"I think it's best to hold our ground! Don't leave casually," Earl said.

Steven nodded; Earl might not be good at other things, but his survival skills were top-notch, and Steven agreed with him.

Aubrey interjected, "I'm just afraid that even if we don't cause trouble, they might come to us!"

Steven, resting his face on his hand, said, "Then we still need to build a good defense line and be fully prepared. We can't control what others do, right?"

"That's true," Aubrey said, frowning slightly as if she had something difficult to say.

Seeing this, Steven smiled and said, "Just say whatever you want. We're discussing, and you might give us some new ideas."

Encouraged by Steven, Aubrey said, "Actually, I was thinking, should we go out again to find some materials to repair the shelter?"
