Chapter 358 Satellite Phone

Steven listened to Lily's words and thought to himself, 'Lily needs a place for her soul to rest, a reasonable explanation to give up on those students.'

It was only because it was Lily that Steven considered so much; if it were someone else, Steven wouldn't bother wasting time on her. He couldn't bear to lose this powerful individual who could be his fighting techniques instructor.

So Steven stepped forward and said, "Let's not talk about this now, Aubrey. We need to fix the outer wall of the shelter quickly. Go prepare the materials first."

Steven changed the subject, not giving Lily a chance to continue the conversation. If the conversation went further, things might develop in a direction he didn't want to see.

So Steven pulled Aubrey away, giving Lily a reassuring look.

Lily felt a warmth in her heart.

She was immensely grateful that Steven could understand her difficulties.

Steven and Aubrey went to the workshop and took out the materials.

"How long will it take to process these materials and repair the shelter?" Steven asked.

Aubrey said, "The damage to the outer wall isn't extensive. If we don't care about aesthetics and just reinforce it, it can be done in two or three days."

The most troublesome part of repairing the outer wall is making it seamless, ensuring no one can tell it was damaged.

Right now, Steven didn't care about the aesthetics of the outer wall.

"I only require it to be sturdy; the rest doesn't matter," Steven said.

"Got it!" Aubrey nodded and went to change into her work clothes, ready to start working.

"Will it be tiring to do it alone?" Steven asked.

With so many materials, it would be cumbersome even for an adult male to handle.

Aubrey blinked and smiled, "Steven, you all have things to do! Don't worry, it might be slower for me alone, but it won't affect the quality."

Steven and a few other Psychics needed to build the outer defenses, so they didn't have time to help her. Aubrey understood this very well.

Steven put his hands in his pockets, and a few figures flashed through his mind.

He smiled and said, "I'll call Nora and the others to help you."

The other women at home couldn't help much in external combat, so they should contribute in some way.

Aubrey couldn't help but laugh. "Their strength is too small! They might not be able to handle this kind of work."

Steven sighed, reached out, and pinched her cheek. "Sometimes, don't forget that you're a girl too. If you can do it, why can't they?"

Aubrey blushed slightly and nodded. "Then... let them help me move the materials."

Steven nodded and went to find Nora and the others.

They had nothing to do at home, so when they heard Steven's instructions, Emilia and Nora went to help Aubrey.

Steven made a simple estimate. In the best-case scenario, the outer wall could be repaired in three days, and a solid defense line could be built.

By then, with the large number of weapons he had, even facing the forces of two bases simultaneously wouldn't put him at a disadvantage.

Moreover, Emberwick Base and Silverlake Base were far from here, and their combat effectiveness would be reduced after a long journey.

'Even if it's one against two, the advantage is still in my hands,' Steven thought and felt a bit more relaxed, at least not anxious about the upcoming war.

He went to Cindy's room and knocked on the door. "Cindy, it's me."

"Steven, just a moment!" Cindy's sweet voice came from inside the room.

Only when facing Steven would she show such a gentle side.

The door opened from the inside, and Cindy, wearing a beige cotton pajama, looked up at Steven with an innocent expression.

"Steven, welcome back!" Cindy said.

Steven smiled and pushed her wheelchair inside, closing the door behind him.

He said, "Cindy, we encountered something interesting this time."

Steven told Cindy about encountering people from Emberwick Base and killing them all.

Cindy was smarter than Aubrey and didn't have to worry about her accidentally leaking information.

Moreover, Steven needed Cindy's help to deal with the students from Cox Town.

Sure enough, after hearing Steven's story, Cindy immediately understood why Steven had come to her.

"Steven, you've killed people from both Emberwick Base and Silverlake Base recently. They've lost some very important Psychics. In such a tense situation, they won't ignore it, right? Which means they'll be coming here soon!"

Steven smiled faintly as he replied, "I'm not afraid of them; those people aren't my biggest problem."

At most, it would be like facing West Mountain Base, unable to go out freely for a long time.

Even with the combined forces of the two bases, they couldn't break through the defenses and the shelter that Steven had set up.

Cindy nodded. "Indeed, they don't have the military high-level background like Peter, without heavy ground-penetrating missiles. So they don't pose much of a threat to the shelter. So, can we take this opportunity to get rid of the students from Cox Town?"

Cindy's tone was very calm. She didn't hate those students; after all, she wasn't bullied at Innovation Academy.

On the surface, Cindy seemed weak, but those who had attacked her had long been killed by Fluffy.

Cindy just hated those selfish idiots, thinking their existence was meaningless.

And now, they had become Steven's problem, so Cindy naturally wanted them dead.

Steven smiled, "We have to use someone else's hand to kill them. None of us can do it ourselves. After all, Lily is still very useful to me. Although it's a bit troublesome, it's worth it to get her."

After Steven finished speaking, he took out a signal jammer from the extradimensional space and placed it in the corner, connecting it to the power.

Then he took out the satellite phones confiscated from the Emberwick Base members and handed them to Cindy.

"These are the satellite phones of Emberwick Base members. Help me analyze if there's any important information in them. After transferring the data, give them back to me. I need them," Steven said.

Cindy smiled, "That's easy!"

For her, a top hacker, this kind of work was too simple.

She transferred all the data from the satellite phones to the computer and said to Steven, "I'll analyze the data and give it to you once it's sorted."

Steven nodded, put the satellite phones away, and left Cindy's room.
