Chapter 356 The Dark Red Potion

The moment Christian made his move, Steven and Fluffy's eyes lit up.

Steven would never trust a stranger with his back.

Although he had his back to Christian and the others, his spatial Supernatural ability made him particularly sensitive to spatial fluctuations.

Since devouring the Supernatural abilities of Charles and other special forces members, his intuition had also strengthened.

So, the moment Christian and his group's killing intent appeared, Steven immediately opened a Dimension Door behind him.

At the same time, Fluffy's body swelled up like a balloon, shielding Steven and Aubrey!

Dozens of bullets were fired simultaneously, all hitting Fluffy's steel-like black fur.

After the last battle, Fluffy had also devoured several Psychics, significantly enhancing its combat power.

Now, facing these close-range firearm attacks posed no threat to Fluffy.

"What... what is that thing?"

"A monster!"

The people at Emberwick Base were terrified; it was their first time seeing a mutated creature.

Christian was also momentarily stunned, but he quickly reacted, drawing his gun and aiming at Fluffy's eyes.

Christian's gun-drawing stance was very professional, and all three shots were aimed directly at Fluffy's eyes.

It was clear he had received professional training and had high combat skills.

Fluffy was somewhat enraged, shaking its head and deflecting the bullets.

Steven didn't make a move but protected Aubrey in front of him.

He needed to protect Aubrey and let Fluffy test their strength while he observed their combat abilities, especially to see if there were any Psychics.

Fluffy transformed into a 16-foot-tall black beast, standing behind Steven and Aubrey.

It was like a living fortress, with all the bullets hitting it without causing any pain.

Even though the weapons used were of very powerful models, even loaded with armor-piercing rounds, they were not facing the initial mutated Fluffy, but the evolved Fluffy.

Although Fluffy didn't feel much pain, it became irritated and bit off half of a person's body.

The others reacted and quickly scattered.

Then, they all did the same thing: they took out a disposable metal syringe and stabbed it into their bodies.

"Hmm?" Steven's eyes narrowed. Their actions reminded him of the stimulants he injected when attacking West Mountain Base.

It seemed this was also some kind of combat-enhancing drug.

Sure enough, after injecting the drug, strange red patterns appeared on their bodies.

Fluffy roared and charged, its sharp claws swinging like gleaming steel knives.

Christian and his group quickly dodged, and it was clear that their speed had increased several times. But unfortunately, they were not facing humans but a feline known for its speed and agility!

At the same size, felines almost have no rivals, perhaps only weasels could compete.

Even with the drug, Christian and his group couldn't outpace Fluffy.

Fluffy instantly killed three people!

But soon, Steven noticed their tactics.

Some were distracting Fluffy, while the leader, Christian, led five people to attack Steven!

Five people fired at Steven simultaneously.

However, the silver gun in Christian's hand suddenly ignited, and a scorching bullet shot toward Steven's head.

'Is this his Supernatural ability?' This thought flashed through Steven's mind. Although far away, he sensed the power contained in the bullet the moment it was fired.

But for him, unless the attack exceeded his spatial energy limit, all ballistic weapons were meaningless.

All five bullets disappeared 10 feet in front of Steven, as if they had never been fired.

"What? You're also a Psychic!" Christian immediately realized the situation was different from what he had expected.

However, Christian had time to regret but no time to escape.

"Let me show you my guns!" Steven raised both hands, and two golden Desert Eagle pistols appeared out of thin air.

Steven gently said to Aubrey, "Cover your ears."

Aubrey obediently covered her ears and looked up at the calm Steven.

Steven raised his pistols and fired continuously, aiming at the heads of the five people!

The moment Christian and his group saw Steven draw his guns, they instinctively dodged and fired back.

But even with their combat experience, the five bullets curved in the air and precisely hit their foreheads.

All five, including the leader Christian, collapsed to the ground.

Until their last moments, their eyes were filled with confusion and disbelief.

They were seasoned gunmen, yet they were killed even when prepared. Was this reasonable?

In a sense, Precision shooting was a guaranteed hit skill.

Once Steven aimed at someone, unless they were faster than a bullet, dodging was futile!

Aubrey looked at Steven, who had quickly killed five gunmen, with admiration in her eyes.

Not far away, Fluffy also quickly ended the battle, chewing on a few people before spitting them out in annoyance.

"You forced me to do this!" Steven looked at the corpses on the ground and sighed helplessly. "I'm a pacifist, so why do people keep forcing me to kill?"

He wasn't afraid of Emberwick Base. But provoking both Emberwick Base and Silverlake Base at the same time, Steven felt it would be a headache if they teamed up to attack.

He wasn't afraid, just found it troublesome.

Steven walked up to Christian, placed his right hand on the bloody hole in his head, and began to devour his Supernatural ability.

Christian's Supernatural ability wasn't very strong, not even as strong as the captain of the West Mountain special forces.

In Steven's current state, devouring his Supernatural ability no longer satisfied him.

To Steven, Psychics of this level were almost no different from ordinary people.

Aubrey followed behind Steven, excitedly saying, "Steven, you're amazing! So many people, and none of them even touched your clothes before they all died!"

Steven squatted down to search Christian's body.

While searching, he said to Aubrey, "Although I'm not a fan of close combat, having devoured so many Psychics' powers, I must say, I'm quite strong now."

Even Steven's self-perceived weak offensive abilities far surpassed a low-level Psychic like Christian.

Aubrey watched Steven carefully search Christian's body and curiously asked, "Steven, what are you doing?"

"Looking for something," Steven replied.

After searching for a while, Steven finally found what he was looking for in the pocket of Christian's coat.

A disposable metal syringe, with a dark red liquid visible through the glass.

"Is this the stimulant used by Emberwick Base? It seems stronger than what Elinor gave me," Steven said.

Judging by its effects, this drug was indeed potent.

It could give ordinary people immense strength, almost reaching the level of the modified humans from West Mountain Base.

Moreover, from the way the people at Emberwick Base used it, it seemed to have no physical requirements, and normal people could use it.

Steven put the drug away, planning to take it back for Elinor to analyze.

This could be a lifesaver in critical moments.

Next, Steven searched every corpse.

Unfortunately, aside from Christian, who had two vials of the drug, the others only had one, which they had already used.

Luckily, two people didn't have enough time to use the drug before Fluffy killed them, giving Steven two more vials.

Steven didn't find anything else of particular value on their bodies.

However, he did take all their communication devices.

Unlike Steven's cell phone, they carried satellite phones.

Satellite phones were much heavier than regular cell phones, like a brick, but they had all the functions of a cell phone and better communication capabilities.

Steven planned to copy the data from them later to analyze Emberwick Base's intelligence.

Then, he collected the body parts into the extradimensional space.

Although the conflict had already erupted, and Emberwick Base couldn't ignore the death of a Psychic and a dozen henchmen, delaying their discovery of the truth would be beneficial.

Steven needed time to fortify the outer walls of the shelter and the perimeter defenses of Emerald Estate.

After cleaning up the bodies, Steven also cleaned up the battlefield.

He even took the snowmobiles from Emberwick Base.

Steven might not use them, but taking them could confuse others.

He also cleaned up the bloodstains on the ground to ensure no one would find out people had died there.

During this process, Steven moved unhurriedly.

Aubrey felt a bit worried seeing this scene and asked, "Steven, won't they send reinforcements?"

Steven brushed the snow off his hands and said calmly, "Emberwick Base is over 150 miles from here. Even if they have a large force and abundant fuel resources, they would need to leave a large part of their troops to guard their base. This is just a materials warehouse; they won't concentrate too many troops here. They have plenty of useful resources around."

Of course, Steven meant resources useful to them.

Steven currently lacked no resources.

"Let's go find those materials you mentioned. After we repair the shelter, we need to prepare for the possible upcoming war!" Steven said calmly.

Before clashing with Emberwick Base, Steven was always cautious, trying to avoid conflict.

But now that the fight had started, Steven didn't care anymore.

Aubrey followed closely behind Steven.

Steven didn't bother climbing the wall; he had Fluffy charge and break a big hole in it.

Then the two of them entered the materials warehouse through the hole.

Steven knew nothing about the materials needed to repair the shelter, as he hadn't studied materials and chemical engineering in college.

So he followed Aubrey, and whatever materials she selected, he stored in the extradimensional space.

Anything useful, Steven took it all, leaving nothing for others.

If the warehouse wasn't so large, Steven would have emptied the entire place.

Half an hour later, they left the warehouse with a full load.

Steven got in the car, and the two of them, along with the cat, headed back to Emerald Estate without looking back.

"The war game is about to start again!" Aubrey said.

Steven blinked, suddenly thinking that since they were already enemies, he might as well use the upcoming enemies to solve the problem of Cox Town.

He glanced at Aubrey beside him but didn't tell her his plan.

However, he had an idea of how to divert the enemy's attention to Cox Town.
