Chapter 474 Gathering

Steven got the message and started thinking about what it really meant.

"Meet at Snowfall Cult? Why there of all places? That place is a dump."

"Hold up, they want us to bring all our combat forces. Are we gearing up for a big showdown with the zombies?"

Steven stared at his phone, pacing back and forth in front of the living room window, trying to figure it all out.

"Did they find something crucial?"

Just then, Cindy rolled up in her wheelchair.

Seeing Steven lost in thought, she tilted her head and asked, "Steven, what's eating at you this time?"

Steven saw her and smiled, waving her over. "Perfect timing, come here!"

Once Cindy was close, Steven showed her the message from the investigation team.

Cindy glanced at it, thought for a moment, then smiled. "This is actually good news!"

Steven chuckled, "Oh yeah? How so?"

Cindy locked eyes with Steven and grinned, "What does Snowfall Cult have?"

"They're broke, aside from having a ton of people, they don't have much else. You mean their numbers?"

Cindy nodded. "Exactly, their biggest asset is their huge following."

She then teased, "That's their only real advantage."

Steven couldn't help but think about Snowfall Cult's combat style.

Their weapons and gear were outdated, and their followers weren't exactly strong fighters.

So, when they fought other groups, they'd use suicide attacks to trade lives, a brutal tactic that had earned them a spot in Starlight City.

Cindy continued, "If zombies really do pick their targets, then the massive crowd at Snowfall Cult would definitely draw the most zombies."

"The investigation team wants us to gather at Snowfall Cult with all our combat forces, and the reason is pretty clear—they want a big battle."

"With the people from Snowfall Cult and other groups, it'll be the biggest target in Starlight City!"

Steven, arms crossed, listened to Cindy's analysis and suddenly got it.

He looked at Cindy in surprise and said, "If that's the case, does it mean they know how to handle the zombie horde?"

Their five-person team had seen the terror of the zombie horde firsthand.

The zombie army led by the smart Zombie King, along with the Bronze Elite Zombies whose combat skills matched those of Psychics, was something they couldn't deal with.

Cindy tilted her head and smiled, "Since it's an investigation team from Silvercrest District, they're obviously pretty strong."

"The key is intel! Intel!" Cindy wiggled her finger and seriously said to Steven.

"First off, they have more intel channels than we do, and with the info we've given them, they understand the zombie horde way better than we do."

"So, they can figure out how to deal with the zombie horde quickly."

Steven thought Cindy made a lot of sense.

"Come to think of it, the main reason our last mission failed was because we knew too little about the underground zombies."

"From start to finish, we never saw the Zombie King. We were just guessing based on bits and pieces, which made us scared of the unknown."

Steven had to admit, the seven-person team's combat power was way above his own team's.

Otha's ability aside, even his subordinates were top-tier in Starlight City, on par with the leaders of various bases.

Imagine a team made up of Psychics like Steven, Megan, and Leonard; their combat power would be insane!

Leaning against the sofa, Steven said calmly, "Alright, let's go check it out then!"

"After all, this big gathering of combat power doesn't really affect us much."

Having fewer people meant they were more flexible, always easier when attacking or retreating.

Steven and his team could stay cool on any battlefield.

Then he called everyone to the living room for a meeting.

Once everyone was there, Steven told them about the message he got.

Henry, with his sharp sense for war, immediately said, "Is this the start of a war? The human coalition against the zombie army!"

Steven leaned back on the sofa, still looking relaxed.

Since it was a coalition, there would be plenty of cannon fodder to take most of the heat. They didn't need to be too stressed.

And during the battle, with Otha's elite team, it was more reliable.

He said, "A fight is inevitable! As long as the zombie problem isn't solved, we can't live in peace here."

"I just didn't expect them to act so fast. They came up with a plan in just one day. They are indeed pros."

After a sigh of admiration, Steven looked at everyone seriously.

"But I still say, the most important thing is to protect your own safety. Life comes first, everything else is secondary. Got it?"

Everyone nodded. They had heard this so many times that their ears were practically numb.

But Steven always reminded them before any big action.

Elinor, worried, frowned and looked down slightly. "So, you all are going to Snowfall Cult and leaving us at home, right?"

Steven nodded without hesitation. "If a fight breaks out, the number of zombies we'll face is unimaginable. We won't be able to protect you."

Thinking of the over ten million corpses in Starlight City, Steven was still worried.

He didn't know how many of the dead had turned into zombies.

The union of the five major forces meant facing all the zombies in Starlight City!

He had to be completely worry-free to engage in the battle.

Elinor argued, "But you need a doctor! If you get injured, I can help treat you."

Every time they fought, Steven left her in the shelter.

She understood Steven was protecting her, but she was on edge, afraid something would happen to Steven. She wanted to help.

Steven looked up and met Elinor's serious gaze, realizing she was genuine.

After all, in the extremely cold environment outside, if someone got injured on the battlefield and didn't get timely treatment, they could easily die.
