Chapter 439 The Power of Martial Prowess
A Bronze Elite Zombie stretched out its massive hand, grabbed a nearby zombie like it was nothing, and chucked it straight at Steven and his crew.
The other Bronze Elite Zombies followed suit, launching zombies at them like they were playing dodgeball.
This aerial assault had everyone feeling a bit on edge.
But Steven? He stayed cool as a cucumber and opened a Dimension Door right above their heads.
All those flying zombies got sucked into the extradimensional space, hitting nothing but air.
The four Bronze Elite Zombies were left dumbfounded for a moment.
But they quickly snapped out of it and started barreling through the zombie horde, charging straight at Steven and his gang!
Earl's face went white with fear. Being underground, he couldn't use his supernatural powers and had to rely on his flamethrower to stay in the fight.
From his direction, a 10-foot-tall Bronze Elite Zombie was making a beeline for him.
Earl looked at the massive, tough body of the Bronze Elite Zombie, feeling like it could rip him apart with just one swipe.
Earl let out a roar and cranked his flamethrower to max, blasting the Bronze Elite Zombie with flames.
But to everyone's shock, the intense heat didn't even faze the Bronze Elite Zombie!
It didn't leave a single mark on its bronze-colored skin.
The Bronze Elite Zombie, slightly slowed by the flames, impatiently grabbed a few zombies nearby and hurled them at Earl.
The Bronze Elite Zombie was getting dangerously close, and Earl, startled, hesitated for a moment.
As the Bronze Elite Zombie closed in, Steven spread his arms and finally used his defensive secret move, Double Dimension Door.
Two massive Dimension Doors blocked the passage in both directions, stopping zombies from attacking them from those sides.
But this also meant Steven's Dimension Door couldn't be used to counter other attacks.
In this open area, there were still plenty of zombies and two huge Bronze Elite Zombies coming from other directions.
It felt like an unseen eye was watching Steven and his crew. As soon as Steven opened the Double Dimension Door, the zombies in those directions quickly stopped their actions.
The zombies from other directions, however, sped up and charged at Steven and his group, roaring.
"Damn, there must be a Zombie King calling the shots. But if we can't take out these zombies, how are we supposed to kill the Zombie King?" Henry said angrily.
Just then, Steven's calm voice sounded in his ear. "Don't rush. The more critical the situation, the more we need to stay calm and observe carefully."
"We'll find the Zombie King. It's close; I can feel it."
Even though things looked pretty dicey, Steven knew that if they could take down the Zombie King, all their problems would be solved.
Most of the attacking zombies were blocked by his Double Dimension Door, and the remaining ones should be manageable for Lily and the others.
Sure enough, the remaining two Bronze Elite Zombies, along with a horde of zombies and giant rats, charged at Steven and his crew.
Henry and Earl had to ditch their flamethrowers. Using them now could easily backfire.
"Let's do this!"
Henry activated his skill, transforming into a 6.5-foot-tall powerhouse, and charged headfirst at an oncoming Bronze Elite Zombie!
The Bronze Elite Zombie was even bigger than Henry!
When they clashed, their strength was evenly matched for a moment!
But if you looked closer, you'd see that while the Bronze Elite Zombie was larger and stronger, its fighting skills were pretty basic, just relying on brute force.
Henry, on the other hand, had been in the military for years and trained regularly, so his combat skills were way better.
Using this edge, Henry went toe-to-toe with the Bronze Elite Zombie in a fierce battle.
Meanwhile, the other Bronze Elite Zombie was up against Lily, who was wielding a long sword.
Lily's sword glowed blue, slicing through the air.
The Bronze Elite Zombie didn't react in time, and a long gash appeared on its chest.
Its bronze armor had a deep crack, and blue goo started oozing out.
The Bronze Elite Zombie took a couple of steps back, and Lily also retreated five steps. Both had surprise in their eyes.
Lily hadn't expected that her full-strength strike wouldn't cut the zombie in half but only broke its outer skin!
She knew her full-strength strike could even slice through a Chariot!
The Bronze Elite Zombie, with its tough exterior now oozing blue fluid, let out an angry roar.
It looked at Lily with some fear but still charged at her without hesitation.
Its huge claws spread open, the long nails like ten sharp knives, gleaming coldly!
"They're indeed tough!" Lily said as she charged at the Bronze Elite Zombie again with her sword.
But they weren't just up against the Bronze Elite Zombies.
There were countless zombies and giant rats pouring in from all directions!
Even though Lily and Henry could hold their own against the Bronze Elite Zombies, they couldn't handle the massive number of zombies and giant rats at the same time.
At this critical moment, Steven said to Fluffy, "Fluffy, go help Henry!"
Following Steven's command, Fluffy ran over and joined the battle.
With Fluffy's help, the zombie horde on Henry's side was quickly cleared.
In its Chariot form, Fluffy's speed in killing zombies in the narrow passage was terrifying!
Steven had instructed Fluffy not to bite the zombies to avoid poisoning.
But in its Chariot form, Fluffy could crush the giant rats and zombies just by rolling through the tunnel.
Next, they had to deal with the zombies on Lily's side.
Steven's eyes turned in that direction, and a white light slowly flickered, gathered, and solidified in his right eye.
"Lily, get out of the way!" Steven shouted.
Sensing something, Lily quickly jumped back, giving Steven space.
"Martial Prowess!" Steven shouted again.
In the next moment, the space in front of him twisted.
Suddenly, a large area in front of him exploded with blood and flesh!
In just an instant, a cylindrical passage appeared within a 1000-foot radius in front of him.
All the zombies within 1000 feet were pulverized, including the terrifyingly defensive Bronze Elite Zombie.
Its upper body was almost entirely shattered, leaving only its legs standing on the ground.
This was Steven's most powerful attack skill—Martial Prowess!
