Chapter 203 You Really Are a Little Genius

Steven now had enough fuel to last for years.

He climbed out of the snow pit. Earl saw him and immediately asked, "All set?"

Steven nodded. "Well done."

This statement not only meant that the fuel collection went smoothly but also praised Earl.

Without Earl's help, this task wouldn't have been so easy.

Earl immediately became happy, clapping his hands and saying, "That's great! Mr. Rogers, you're amazing!"

Earl's genuine admiration made Steven feel a bit embarrassed.

For Steven, it was simply a matter of using the extradimensional space to store the fuel tank.

The main work was done by Earl.

But Earl didn't see it that way.

He thought clearing the snow was easy and could be done by manpower.

But such a large amount of fuel couldn't be transported by manpower alone.

Steven asked, "Didn't you think about digging for supplies before?"

Earl sighed helplessly.

He answered, "Of course, we thought about it. But in this freezing weather, we can't go far from the village.

"Our sled dogs aren't the kind that live in cold environments all the time. Their bodies can't handle it if they stay out too long," he explained. "So we just dig around Cox Town, finding some supermarkets and granaries. That's enough for us, so there's no need to go further."

Steven looked at Earl with a smile, liking him more and more.

This was a top-notch helper.

"This isn't a problem for me. Just stick with me, and I won't let you down!" Steven told him.

Steven's eyes flickered with cunning as he said, "This time, I can give you a tank of diesel and gasoline!"

Earl was initially happy to hear this.

But after thinking it over, he showed a bitter expression.

"Mr. Rogers, I really appreciate it! But even if you give me a tank of gasoline, I can't transport it back!"

Steven raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? That's a shame. I'm not one to shortchange my friends, but there's no other way.

"How about this, I'll compensate you with something else!" He suggested.

Steven then took out a backpack from the extradimensional space—the same one he had given to Frank before.

It was packed full of food.

He handed the backpack to Earl. "There's some food in here, consider it a reward!"

Earl's eyes lit up, and he quickly took the backpack.

It was so heavy that he almost couldn't hold it.

Earl opened the zipper and took a look, and he couldn't stop smiling!

It was full of good stuff, high-calorie foods like chocolate, chicken legs, and cream bread from big brands.

Unlike the small workshop products in their village supermarket, these were on a whole different level!

"Mr. Rogers." Earl's eyes glistened.

Since his parents passed away, it was the first time someone had been so kind to him.

"Isn't this too much?" Earl felt a bit awkward.

He thought he hadn't helped much, just cleared some snow, while Steven did the main work.

"I always treat my people well. Just stick with me, and I guarantee you'll have enough to eat and drink, and live worry-free!"

Steven patted Earl's shoulder with a smile.

Earl's eyes became determined.

He already saw Steven as a confidant, someone who understood his value.

He said, "Mr. Rogers! I'll definitely stick with you from now on!"

Steven thought to himself, 'Otaku are really easy to satisfy.'

After getting the needed supplies, Steven drove Earl back.

On the way, he casually asked Earl about his awakening of supernatural abilities.

But when this topic came up, Earl's face turned red, as if it was something embarrassing.

Steven frowned slightly, sensing something odd.

But he needed a lot of samples about psychics, so he continued to ask.

Earl had no choice but to stammer out his story.

"After my mom passed, I didn't want to live either. But I didn't dare to commit suicide, so I just lay in bed, hoping to starve to death. That wish was easy to achieve since we had run out of food."

Steven asked, "So, you awakened when you were about to starve to death?"

"Not exactly." Earl turned his head, scratching his chubby face in embarrassment.

"Lying in bed was warm. Since I didn't starve to death, I thought I might as well jerk off for one last time.

"My parents always warned me that too much masturbation was bad for my health. But I didn't care anymore, so I did it a lot."

Steven's eyelid twitched violently. He seemed to understand how Earl awakened his supernatural ability.

"So... how many times did you jerk off?" Steven asked.

Earl almost buried his head in his lap. He confessed. "I lost count, maybe twenty times. I can't feel anythingin the end.

"Then, after I lost consciousness, I felt a strange change in my body. It was very comfortable and wonderful," he said.

Steven fell silent. 'Fuck, he actually awakened his supernatural ability this way!'

No one would believe it.

He could only say that everyone had their own moment of fate.

Steven dropped Earl off by the river.

Earl looked at the thousand-foot-wide Mississippi River and weakly asked, "Mr. Rogers, can't you take me across?"

With his body, running a thousand feet was tough.

Steven smiled deeply. "My car slips on the ice!"

After his car broke down on the river last time, Steven was more cautious.

That was Earl's territory, and Steven needed to be vigilant.

Earl curiously asked, "Isn't your car a snow vehicle?"

"Yes, but a snow vehicle isn't an icebreaker. It can only drive on snow, not ice," Steven said.

Earl thought Steven's explanation made sense, but last night, he had driven and shot a sniper rifle with ease.

But Earl didn't question it, just unbuckled his seatbelt and got ready to get out.

Before leaving, Steven said, "Earl! Be careful about one thing."

Hearing Steven call his name made Earl feel close.

"Mr. Rogers, what is it?" he asked.

Steven said seriously, "The apocalypse is dangerous. Cox Town is a well-known food and vegetable base for Starlight City. People might come to steal your food, so be careful!"

Earl swallowed nervously. "Yes, Mr. Rogers, I'll remember!"
