Chapter 199 Lap Pillow

Earl was startled by Steven's words.

He shouted in terror, "Don't do this! I... I like women!"

Steven rolled his eyes immediately, and even Elinor and Nora couldn't help but chuckle.

"Idiot! What are you thinking? I meant, I'm interested in your supernatural ability." He clarified.

"If you're sincere about making peace, come over here yourself. Let me see if you're qualified to reconcile with me! How about this?" He made the demand.

At this point, Steven emphasized his tone. "Otherwise, I won't tolerate your repeated harassment!"

"Your power holds no sway over me. Once I cross the river, wiping out your entire village will be a piece of cake!" Steven deliberately tried to scare Earl.

Sure enough, he successfully frightened Earl.

"No!" Earl stood up from his chair in fear, pacing back and forth in the room, his body trembling.

Facing Steven, he was utterly terrified.

"Even if you wipe out our Cox Village, it won't do you any good! Besides, don't think we're unprepared." Earl pretended to be calm.

Steven sneered. "Prepared? I'd like to see what you have to defend against me. Don't forget that I am armed with a sniper rifle. If I want to, I can kill all the villagers in Cox Village without even getting close. Unless you never step outside from now on!"

Earl was extremely nervous. He had finally done something heroic, hoping to use his ability to reconcile with Steven, fulfill his promise to Jared, and impress Julia. But if he messed things up and angered Steven, he would become the sinner of Cox Village!

He hurriedly said, "Hold on! Steven, let's not get hasty. Can we talk a bit more?"

"You see, maintaining Cox Village could also work in your favor. Cox Village and Emerald Estate are practically neighbors. If any threats come our way, we can stand together," he added.

Steven raised an eyebrow and said disdainfully, "Threats? Aren't you my biggest threat right now?"

"If you can beat me, you take everything from me. If you can't, you seek peace without paying a price! Do you think that's possible?"

He continued, "In short, in my eyes, only you, Earl, are qualified to talk to me! Whether you come or not is up to you. But whether I cross the river to attack depends on my mood!"

Through the conversation, Steven had grasped some of Earl's character—he was a timid soul, neither clever nor strong.

So, Steven directly forced him to make a choice. "Alright, give me your answer now! Are you coming or not? If you don't come, I'll kill you soon!"

Earl had completely lost his rhythm. He thought of the night before when Steven killed so ruthlessly. In his heart, the shadow Steven left was infinitely magnified.

"I'll go. I'll go, okay?" Earl blurted out, afraid of losing this last chance.

Seeing that Earl had taken the bait, Steven smiled and said, "Alright, come over at 2:30 in the afternoon! The temperature will be a bit warmer then."

Steven was still quite considerate.

After speaking, he didn't give Earl a chance to regret it and directly hung up the phone.

On the other end, Earl was dumbfounded, not expecting that, in a moment of excitement, he had agreed to it.

In fact, he regretted it as soon as he spoke!

Being a hero wasn't that easy! Previously, he survived encounters with Steven because he was cautious, always hiding far away and using long-range skills for attack and defense.

If he got any closer, he could already imagine a hundred ways he could die!

Earl's fat legs gave out, and he knelt on the ground, his face gloomy. "It's over. I'm dead this time."

On the other side, Steven put the phone on the table and began to think about how to handle the afternoon meeting.

He already had a comprehensive understanding of Earl's Ice and Snow supernatural ability.

Earl could control ice and snow for attack and defense and had a large-scale field ability.

But these physical attacks would all be swallowed by his Dimension Door.

Therefore, Earl posed no threat to him.

As long as Earl wasn't prepared in advance, Steven could snipe him from nearly 5,000 feet away.

Not to mention, once Earl got closer, Steven could completely crush him with his equipment advantage.

Steven was pondering the question: should he kill Earl or not?

A Psychic with unlimited potential could become a huge threat, but if Earl became an ally, Steven would be very powerful.

Earl's ability was something even Steven found tempting.

If supernatural abilities were ranked, Earl's would definitely be above Henry's physical strengthening, probably second only to Steven's dimensional space.

"Let's test him first! Then decide whether to kill him or not!" Steven finally made the decision.

He didn't have much hatred for the people of Cox Village, mainly because he had killed over a hundred of them, and his anger had subsided.

A bunch of useless people, laughably trying to attack his shelter, couldn't even get past the simplest traps on the outskirts.

How could a human be angry with a bunch of overconfident ants?

It was mainly Earl who piqued Steven's interest.

After lunch, Steven took a short nap.

Nora wanted to get intimate with him, but Steven refused.

He told her, "I have important business this afternoon, but we'll get cozy later."

Looking at Nora in her camisole nightgown, Steven righteously refused her request to sleep together, only agreeing to let her sit on the bed and be his lap pillow.

Nora obediently complied, kneeling on the large bed and lifting her lace nightgown to reveal her round thighs.

Steven rested his head on her legs. The plump and elastic feel was truly intoxicating.

He temporarily put aside the matters of Cox Town, planning to rest and keep himself in the best mental state before meeting the Psychic who could control ice and snow.

"Wake me up at two o'clock." Steven said lazily.

"Okay, just rest assured," she replied.

After Steven closed his eyes, Nora gazed at his handsome and resolute profile, a barely noticeable smile appearing on her lips.

The longer she lived with Steven, the more she began to like his personality.

She initially thought he was a bad man, but now she felt that Steven was quite nice, at least he could pique her curiosity. Most importantly, living with him made Nora feel very safe.

"Rest well, Steven!" She gently stroked Steven's face and said softly.

"Don't tease me." Steven blinked.
