Chapter 212 Dinner is Ready

Tessa got yanked up like a ragdoll.

She was stiff as a board, and blood started trickling from her head. Before she could even scream, she was dragged out the window.

This massive black beast brought her up to its face, stuck out a scarlet tongue, and licked her. The barbs on its tongue ripped her flesh right off, leaving her face a mess.

Terrified screams filled the gym.

Everyone was bolting towards the back.

No one gave a damn about Cindy anymore, leaving just Aubrey to push Cindy's wheelchair.

A bunch of people crowded at the back door, only to find it was jammed and wouldn't budge no matter what!

"Damn it, it's frozen shut!"

"Get it open, or we're all dead!"

A group of students, pale as ghosts, were practically peeing their pants in fear.

By now, the black beast had already barged into the gym.

It was huge, like dozens of feet tall, pitch black, covered in blood and grime, with fur sharp as steel needles.

It completely blocked the main entrance.

Holding Tessa in its claws, it licked her with a grin, then chomped off her head.

Blood sprayed everywhere like a fountain.

A bunch of girls screamed in terror, covering their faces and collapsing with weak knees.

The boys were doing everything they could to get the back door open.

But the door had been frozen shut for ages, with tons of ice and snow blocking it from the outside, making it impossible to open.

The beast tossed Tessa's half-eaten body aside, then raised its tail and strutted into the gym with a grin.

It tilted its head, like it was checking out the little mice in front of it.

For some reason, everyone saw a hint of mockery in its eyes.

This sent chills down everyone's spine; this thing was clearly a smart monster!

Taking advantage of the teachers being out looking for food, it attacked them.

Dozens of students huddled in a corner of the gym, facing this enormous beast, too scared to even think about fighting back.

At that moment, someone suddenly shoved Cindy forward.

Caught off guard, Cindy and her wheelchair toppled over.

Sure enough, this got the beast's attention. It raised a claw and took a couple of steps forward.

Aubrey screamed in fear, "Cindy!"

She wanted to save Cindy, but her legs were frozen in fear.

The black beast got closer and closer to Cindy, lowering its head to check out the little mouse on the ground.

At that moment, the boys who had pushed Cindy suddenly made a break for the door.

The black beast's head turned slightly, its amber eyes locking onto them.

A mocking grin spread across its face.

The two boys didn't even make it out before the black claws slammed them to the ground.

The beast barely used any force, but it was more than their bodies could handle.

Their insides were crushed, and they coughed up a ton of blood.

But they weren't about to just sit there and die; they were still desperately trying to get up and make a run for it!

They came from rich families!

From the moment they were born, they were set up to be winners in life.

Their starting point was a place most people could only dream of reaching.

They were supposed to have the brightest futures, enjoying all the good things in life. How could they die here?

The black beast ditched the motionless Cindy and turned towards them.

Its sharp claws slashed, tearing them apart, and blood splattered everywhere!

At that moment, the black cat had its back to the crowd.

Aubrey gathered her courage and quickly ran over to help Cindy up.

Warren's eyes lit up, and he whispered to a few close friends, "I get it, this monster likes to go after moving targets. Cindy played dead and got away!"

The boys around him suddenly got it.

"No wonder Muhammad and Chris bit it so fast!"

"So what do we do, play dead?"

A cold glint flashed in Warren's eyes.

He whispered, "Playing dead isn't a sure thing either; who knows if the monster's just messing with us. We need a plan."

After huddling with a few people, he stirred up the nearby students. "Quick, while the monster's distracted, let's get out of here!"

"Staying here is a death sentence; someone needs to go get Mrs. Evans! Otherwise, we're all toast!" he kept saying.

Some were too scared to move, knowing they'd have to get past the black beast to escape.

But a few naive ones thought it was better to try than just wait to die.

"Everyone rush together! It can't kill us all. Staying here is just waiting to die!" Warren said.

A few boys, eyes red with extreme fear, were filled with rage, which gave them courage.

At that moment, the monster was lowering its head, playing with the two struggling little mice in front of it.

Muhammad and Chris, covered in blood, hadn't given up hope.

They were desperately crawling towards the door, reaching out to their classmates for help.

"Help me! Don't leave me!"

"Please, Warren, Craig, we're best friends!"

The monster didn't kill them right away but squatted, watching them struggle with a creepy smile.

It occasionally used its claws to push them around like toys.

A few boys took the chance to sneak behind the monster, trying to escape.

Ignoring Muhammad and Chris's pleas, they moved quietly.

Muhammad and Chris, in despair, shouted angrily, "I'm not going down alone!"

Pointing at the boys behind the monster, they yelled, "Look, they're trying to run!"

The monster's eyes narrowed, its head twisted 180° to look behind.

The boys trying to escape were instantly caught in its gaze.

Their backs went cold, and they quickened their pace towards the exit.

The claws struck three times, the movements elegant and seemingly effortless.

But the three boys fell instantly, their chests crushed!
