Chapter 315 Turmoil Strikes

When Peter heard that a bunker buster missile had been launched at Steven, he couldn't hide his surprise.

"Awesome! Steven's toast for sure now!"

Even though Steven could absorb energy and physical hits, they knew he couldn't handle the blast from over 1,100 pounds of explosives all at once.

And the Astralium Kingdom's bunker buster missiles packed more than 2,200 pounds of explosives, with some models being even more powerful.

West Mountain Base had already sent Steven's shelter data to Silvercrest District.

To take out the shelter in one go, Silvercrest District must've used a heavier, more powerful bunker buster!

Peter leaned back, a faint smile on his face. "I told you, just 'cause these young folks have some special powers, they shouldn't get cocky. The world's not that simple!"

Peter called Charles over. "Come on, Charles. Let's watch Steven's shelter get blown to bits."

Charles stood behind Peter, both of them glued to the computer screen.

A 3D model of the shelter was displayed, and the data would update in real-time once the missile hit.

Charles was thrilled and couldn't help but flatter Peter, "Using such a massive weapon on Steven is kinda overkill!"

Peter sighed. "It's a shame that only a few major military districts control these weapons. Back in the day, my rank wasn't much lower than Alan's. But now, he's a big shot!"

Charles had a sudden idea. "If we could get Mr. Peterson's help, wouldn't taking over all of Starlight City be a piece of cake?"

Peter glanced at Charles and chuckled. "You're still too young. You don't get politics at all!"

Even though Peter and Alan had some connections, they weren't that close. Once this favor was used up, getting Alan to help again would cost even more.

Plus, the whole South region of Silvercrest District was their turf. No matter who the local leader was, it wouldn't threaten them. So why would Alan need to back him?

Besides, even if Peter was just a small-time boss in a corner of Starlight City, he was still his own man. He wouldn't be anyone's lackey.

Time was ticking.

Steven, Lily, and Peter were all waiting for the missile from Teksbo City to hit.

Cindy's eyes were glued to the screen, not wanting to miss a thing.

It was almost midnight.

Sweat started to form on Steven and his team's palms. They discreetly wiped their hands and put on tactical gloves.

At the Silvercrest District headquarters in Teksbo City, a middle-aged man in a military uniform pressed the launch button in the command center.

From the missile silo, a heavy bunker buster missile shot into the sky, heading southeast.

Its fiery tail lit up the night sky, especially noticeable in Starlight City.

All over Starlight City, people looked up, their faces serious as they watched.

At Steven's location, everyone was ready.

Steven and his crew were armed to the teeth, and even Mutant Cat, Fluffy, had its black fur standing on end.

Lily clutched her broadsword tightly.

Peter's eyes sparkled with excitement as he stared at the screen.

Just then, the radar at West Mountain Base's info department picked up something fast approaching!

"What the heck is that?"

"It's a missile, coming from... Teksbo City!"

"What are they trying to pull?"

"Report it, now!"

But by the time they realized, it was too late.

The anti-air radar at West Mountain Base only had a range of 124 miles, and the missile was moving too fast for them to react.

From inside the snow vehicle, Steven saw a bright light streaking across the sky, falling like a meteor, heading straight for West Mountain.

Steven, Earl, and Henry instinctively leaned forward, grabbing onto anything they could.

A muffled sound came from deep within the earth.

The noise wasn't as loud as expected since the bunker buster could penetrate hundreds of feet underground before exploding.

But inside the vehicle, they felt the violent shaking, like a small boat in a storm, constantly rocking, making it feel like it might tip over.

"We did it!!!" Steven shouted excitedly.

The ground several miles away was shaking so much; the underground shelter at West Mountain Base must have been even worse!

Steven turned to Cindy, "Cindy, go ahead with the plan!"

In the safe house, Cindy calmly replied, "Got it!"

Cindy's finger, which had been hovering over the return key for a while, finally pressed down hard!

Inside West Mountain Base, it was pure chaos, like an earthquake had hit!

The sudden missile attack caught everyone off guard.

The whole base shook violently, waking up those who were asleep.

People who didn't know what was going on thought it was an earthquake and screamed in terror.

Meanwhile, Cindy hacked into the network and cut off the power to West Mountain Base!

The entire base plunged into darkness, and without power, none of the systems could operate.

Terrified screams filled the base.

Peter, clueless about what had happened, fell off his chair, and Charles quickly helped him up.

"What's going on? What happened? Why is this happening?" Peter shouted, both confused and angry.

Just then, the info department called, "Mr. Martin, we've been hit by a missile attack!"

"What? A missile attack? Where did the missile come from?" Peter was about to curse when suddenly, he had a thought.

"Could it be... that bastard Alan tricked me!"

Peter didn't know his base's network had been hacked and thought Alan had deceived him.

But the immediate priority wasn't cursing; it was to restore order at West Mountain Base as quickly as possible.

Peter immediately sought out each person in charge, assigning them tasks.

"Charles, quickly gather the special forces to protect our safety! Also, make sure The Fourth Life Warehouse people don't cause trouble. Send troops to guard it strictly. If anyone tries to cause trouble, take them out on the spot! Additionally, get the engineers to fix the power equipment!"

Despite the chaos, Peter quickly grasped the situation. Their base was built very solidly; a few missiles couldn't break through.

They just needed to get through this brief period of chaos, and it wouldn't take long.
