Chapter 441 The Solution to the Zombie Horde

As soon as those words left his mouth, everyone went dead silent.

If Steven hadn't picked up the new skill, in that last scenario, even if they had three, five, or even ten times more people, they might've all been toast.

Judging by what they just saw, the number of zombies was way beyond what they could've imagined.

Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Who even knew?

"So, what's the plan now?" Henry asked, sounding a bit lost.

If they couldn't wipe out these zombies in one go, they'd be facing endless waves of attacks from the horde.

And they saw how many zombies were packed into that subway tunnel.

There were even those Bronze Elite Zombies that gave them the creeps.

If all those zombies broke out and attacked their shelter, how long could they hold out?

Not to mention, these zombies were quick learners.

They'd get stronger with each attack. Even if they could fend off the first wave, what about the next ones?

Plus, they had the most dreaded enemy of all, the Zombie King, who they hadn't met yet but knew was lurking somewhere.

What kind of monster was it? What powers did it have?

Nobody had a clue.

The more mysterious something was, the scarier it felt.

Steven went quiet too. He looked up at the distant sky.

The world above ground wasn't exactly bright, but compared to the underground, it was blinding.

Snow was everywhere, cold but not giving off that hopeless danger vibe.

Steven pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his extradimensional space, lit one up, and took a drag.

The people around him didn't bother him; they knew he was deep in thought.

After a while, Steven finally snapped out of it and handed a cigarette to Henry.

Earl didn't smoke, and neither did Lily.

So it was just the two of them, puffing away.

But then, Earl started looking a bit weird.

Actually, when the zombie horde was about to reach him, he had peed a little, so his underwear was wet.

With everyone around, especially Lily, he was too embarrassed to say anything.

So he just clamped his legs together, pretending nothing happened.

After what felt like forever, Steven finally spoke up, "One way or another, we gotta deal with this, and fast! We can't let these zombies get any stronger."

"So, what do you suggest?" Lily asked, confused and feeling pretty down.

Steven squinted his eyes, looking southeast, where there used to be a vast ocean.

But now, the coastal areas were probably frozen over.

Seeing the sea again would be tough unless they went further.

"If our goal is to wipe out these zombies, it's actually not as hard as it seems."

Under everyone's puzzled looks, Steven suddenly looked up and grinned. "I'm starting to realize my abilities are pretty handy."

"Not so much for fighting, but for other stuff."

Before anyone could ask, Steven laid out his plan.

"I've got an idea. The subway line in our area isn't too complicated; only the Floral Springs Line runs through."

"And these zombies usually hibernate in the tunnels."

"So, even though the virus is super cold-resistant, they won't stay outside in these freezing temps."

"We don't have enough explosives to blow up the whole Floral Springs Line subway. But there's something else. In this situation, it's way more useful than explosives."

Everyone looked at Steven, eager to know. "What is it?"

Steven took a deep breath, his eyes fixed southeast.

"Seawater."

Freshwater rivers were all frozen, so they couldn't get a big enough water source.

But seawater, with all its salt, wasn't completely frozen in the deep sea.

Steven's plan was to head to the deep sea and use his spatial ability to gather a ton of seawater.

Then, flood the entire subway tunnel.

Hearing Steven's plan, everyone's eyes lit up.

Lily's face broke into a rare smile. She clapped her hands and said, "Genius, this is absolutely genius!"

"The Floral Springs Line is a single-track line. If we seal off the terminal station, it becomes a space blocked at both ends."

"And your space can hold enough seawater to flood the whole tunnel."

"Then the rats and zombies inside should drown. At the very least, it would wipe out most of them!"

"If the Zombie King is really down there, it would probably be half-dead from the flooding."

"Even in the worst-case scenario, they wouldn't survive in the tunnel."

Lily's explanation got Henry and Earl pumped up.

It was like they suddenly had a way to turn back time in a desperate situation, giving them a chance to solve the crisis.

Earl jumped up, saying happily, "Captain Rogers is the best. His supernatural ability is incredible, the perfect weapon against zombies in this situation!"

Henry grinned and said, "I think the most amazing thing is Steven's brain. We all have supernatural abilities, but he knows how to make the most of them."

Fluffy barked in agreement.

Steven just smiled faintly. "This plan just popped into my head, but pulling it off will take a lot of prep."

"And there's a crucial issue I need to check with the tech experts back home."

Steven pulled out the snowmobile from his extradimensional space.

"Let's head back first. The sooner we get this plan rolling, the better. I'm afraid time's not on our side."
