Chapter 336 The Four Major Organizations

Steven, Henry, and Earl, along with Steven's Fluffy, set out for West Mountain Base.

The group got into the snowmobile, with Fluffy sitting on Steven's lap. Steven activated the autopilot mode.

It wasn't their first time going to West Mountain Base, so everyone was relatively relaxed.

Earl looked at Fluffy, blinked, and asked Steven, "Captain Rogers, why does Fluffy seem different to me?"

Steven glanced down at the well-behaved Fluffy on his lap and stroked its smooth fur.

"How is it different?" he asked.

Earl thought for a moment and shook his head. "I can't say for sure. It's just a feeling, like something subtle has changed."

"Of course," Steven said with a deep smile.

Although Steven didn't understand the principle, some mutated creatures had the ability to devour.

For example, he, Charles, and Fluffy all had the ability to devour other Psychic powers to evolve.

Last time, Fluffy devoured several Psychics, making its abilities even stronger.

However, its combat level could only be determined through battle.

After all, he couldn't communicate with a cat.

After Steven and the others left, Cindy suddenly wheeled herself out of her studio.

She came to the living room and saw Elinor watching TV, so she asked, "Where's Steven?"

Elinor blinked and said, "They went to West Mountain Base to collect materials. Do you need him for something?"

Cindy frowned slightly. "I organized some information and wanted Steven to take a look. Never mind, I'll wait for him to come back."

Elinor curiously leaned over and asked Cindy with a smile, "What interesting information? Let me see it first!"

Cindy rolled her eyes and sneered, "You're not a combatant, knowing it won't help you."

Elinor pouted, "I'm an important logistics support member! Don't look down on me!"

Cindy made a face at Elinor and wheeled away.

She wouldn't share important information with anyone except Steven.

She had her own reasons; her greatest value to Steven was intelligence and cybersecurity.

What if she told Elinor and Elinor took the credit?

Cindy thought for a moment, then contacted Steven on the road using the supercomputer in her studio. "Steven, have you reached West Mountain Base?"

Steven received Cindy's message, looked at the snowy landscape outside, and said, "Not yet! We're about halfway there."

"I found something that I need to report to you," Cindy said.

"Really? Sounds like important information." Steven smiled. "Go ahead, I'm listening."

Cindy said, "I found information about other major armed forces in Starlight City. Since you're out, I'll tell you now so you're aware. In case you encounter them outside, you'll be prepared."

Steven's expression became more serious. "Alright, go ahead."

Cindy continued, "According to West Mountain Base's intelligence, there are four large militarized shelters in Starlight City. They are located in West Mountain, Frostwood, Emberwick, and Silverlake. They were established and maintained by the government years ago to respond to sudden wars and natural disasters. According to West Mountain Base's intelligence, the other three shelters also have large underground spaces, massive armories, and abundant supplies."

Steven nodded. "I know this."

This information wasn't surprising; there had been rumors for years in Starlight City.

He even remembered news reports years ago showing photos of an underground shelter.

"So, besides West Mountain Base, there are three other large armed forces in Starlight City, right? Emberwick Base, Silverlake Base, and Frostwood Base, all far from our shelter." Steven stroked his chin. "But now, we can't be sure they don't plan to expand into West Mountain District and Eternal River District."

The commotion at West Mountain Base that night was too big.

It would definitely attract other forces' attention.

If they found out that West Mountain Base, which ruled West Mountain District and Eternal River District, was destroyed, they might extend their reach here.

"No, besides those three, there's another special force," Cindy replied. "According to West Mountain Base's data, a large population has gathered in Seldwa District and Stardale District, forming a significant force. But the records on them are not detailed."

Steven nodded and said, "With so many people in Starlight City, it's normal for dozens of factions to emerge. But it seems the major forces don't know much about each other. Maybe because the apocalypse came so suddenly, they were busy with their own survival and development."

From what Steven knew, West Mountain Base didn't even have complete information on the surrounding districts before its destruction.

Their campaign against him was likely an internal effort to clear their territory.

Other forces were probably similar.

"Good job, Cindy, your information is very useful," Steven said.

Cindy blushed with happiness and smiled, "I'll continue organizing their information. When you come back, I'll report to you in detail, okay?"

Steven smiled and nodded. "Of course!"

After ending the call, Steven saw Earl and Henry looking curious.

Steven didn't hide anything and shared what Cindy had told him.

"The other armed forces in Starlight City are as large as West Mountain Base. It's a bit troublesome; hopefully, they won't get involved," Earl said worriedly.

Steven said calmly, "It's expected. But Starlight City is so big, as long as we don't provoke them, there shouldn't be any conflict."

He added, "Now, with at least 90% of Starlight City's population dead, the remaining resources are enough for the surviving forces. Everyone values their lives; there's no need to fight each other."

Henry, who had been silent, suddenly said, "I'm just afraid things won't go as smoothly as we think. I have a feeling we'll run into them soon!"
