Chapter 55 The Neighbors Want to Kill Steven

Elinor hesitated for a long time before finally agreeing.

Her morals and conscience did not allow her to be a despicable person.

However, she found the act of the neighbors robbing Steven out of jealousy even more despicable in her eyes. So she chose to help Steven.

Steven said, "Great, I need to see some useful information from you first, then I'll give you what you want. Now, it's all about your performance!"

Elinor replied, "Okay, I understand."

She was a kind-hearted woman but definitely not foolish. She wouldn't foolishly ask Steven for help unconditionally.

The conversation between the two ended there.

Steven glanced at the chat group, where numerous messages were still ongoing. People continued to mention him, accusing and threatening him morally.

"Steven, where are you? Give us an answer quickly, are you going to hand over the supplies in your hands or not!"

Some people were starting to get impatient.

Steven smirked, and it seemed like they were planning to forcefully attack his home.

"I'm so fed up with your shit. Cut the crap!" Steven replied with a smile.

Immediately, the group erupted into a storm of curses, with all sorts of vulgar words being said.

Steven didn't care at all; they were all just cowards!

Now, he had already tried killing someone with his own hands and felt no guilt, so he didn't mind killing a few more.

"Alright, Steven, this is what you've brought upon yourself!"

"Don't say we didn't give you a chance, you selfish and despicable person!"

"From now on, you'll bear all the consequences of what happens!"

The cursing gradually subsided.

It was easy to guess that they would probably avoid Steven and create a separate group to discuss the plans, like they did with Andrew before.

Then, they would plan how to collectively attack Steven's home.

Steven took a deep breath, a hint of nervousness and excitement in his eyes. He was so excited that his body started to tremble slightly.

Even though he knew his home was an impregnable fortress, it would definitely be a lie that he could face an attack from hundreds of people without any nervousness.

But that feeling of excitement ignited the fire of passion deep within Steven.

He had long wanted to teach those demons who once betrayed him a lesson!

A gleam flashed in Steven's eyes, and soon, his weapons appeared in the living room.

There were five stainless steel crossbows, three professional-grade compound bows, over two hundred and ninety crossbow bolts, and three hundred arrows.

Moreover, there were also two large iron boxes with steel balls, machetes, a 4-foot-long crowbar, baseball bats, and hunting knives.

,

All the weapons were displayed on the table, and they were all excellent tools for killing.

In addition to these physical weapons, there were wolf repellents, stun guns, gasoline, a large amount of chemical reagents, and dozens of Molotov cocktails made from bottles, cloth strips, and gasoline.

Steven's eyes gleamed with a cold light.

"Bring it on, no matter how many there are!"

As Steven expected, when the neighbors realized that Steven wouldn't hand over the supplies in his home, they were all furious!

Larry created a new group chat and added all the living owners except Steven.

They even added Andrew.

Seeing Andrew, some of them couldn't help but shiver.

However, Andrew took the initiative to say, "Everyone, our top priority now is to deal with Steven. The supplies in his house are probably more than the total of all of us!"

"As long as we defeat him, we can get a large amount of supplies."

"So you don't have to worry, I won't harm anyone else now."

"But for this attack, I want half of the supplies!"

Andrew had suffered at the hands of Steven before, knew that Steven's home was well defended, and that he had crossbows.

So he didn't dare to attack alone, he planned to go with these cannon fodders from the building.

He thought, with over a hundred people, they could definitely break into Steven's home.

How many weapons could Steven have? How many people could he shoot?

Over a hundred people were in the building, and only six of them from Andrew's group, yet he demanded half of the supplies.

But no one thought it was unfair, instead, they considered Andrew a good person.

He clearly had a gun, yet he was willing to share half with everyone, what a good person!

Larry said, "Yes, for now everyone should put aside past grievances. Our top priority is to break into Steven's home and retrieve the supplies that belong to the community!"

These two led the way in speaking, and others naturally followed suit.

After seeing the living conditions in Steven's home, jealousy filled their eyes, and they wished they could kill Steven immediately to enjoy his current life.

"Grab your knives and follow me! Kill Steven and take his supplies!"

"Kill that despicable selfish guy!"

The group roared aggressively.

Only a few people remained silent, like Henry and Elinor.

Others, even if they had a decent relationship with Steven before, or had received favors from him, had forgotten all about it.

Nothing was more important than staying alive, and for that, they were willing to abandon all ethical morals!

Steven wiped his gun at home.

He was no stranger to gun, as he often used it at the shooting club before.

And a month before the apocalypse, he had even undergone some intensive training.

He felt no pressure shooting someone at close range.

At that moment, Elinor sent a message.

"They are planning to come to your home."

After seeing it, Steven replied, "Okay, I know."

Elinor sat on her sofa, frowning as she saw Steven's calm reply.

She tightened the two layers of blankets around her and curled her delicate feet inside.

"Everyone in the building must have gone over there. They saw your video and have gone crazy."

"Aren't you going to do something about it?"

Elinor felt that at this moment, the most sensible thing for him to do was to hand over some of the supplies to appease everyone's anger.

Otherwise, even a powerful person couldn't possibly resist so many people.

Over a hundred people could easily tear down a house!

Steven smiled, not explaining too much.

He just said, "Listen, you must not come over this time, I'll remind you only once."

"Then, just sit back and enjoy the show!"

Frowning, Elinor was curious.

She didn't know where Steven's confidence was coming from, to single-handedly confront over a hundred people in the building.

This was no joke, once his home was breached, the frenzied crowd would surely take his life!

"Is he a madman?"

Elinor murmured to herself.

But this was Steven's own choice, and she had no way to change it.

However, she did follow Steven's words and did not join the group of people attacking Steven's home.

She was a person with moral principles and wouldn't harm innocent people for no reason, whether it was Steven or the other neighbors.
