Chapter 341 Move Everything Out!

West Mountain Base had become terrifying now.

Because there were thousands of corpses buried underneath, it was eerie and frightening.

If it weren't for wearing combat suits and having a keen-scented mutant like Fluffy, Steven wouldn't dare to come down recklessly.

Without any delay, the group continued to the next location.

West Mountain Base has a huge warehouse storing food and other essential survival supplies.

Following the map's guidance, Steven quickly arrived at the warehouse at the end of the second Life Warehouse.

The road was piled with rubble, and Henry used his Supernatural ability to easily clear the obstacles.

The warehouse door was tightly locked, and it looked like a very complex combination lock.

"Let me give it a try!" Without a word, Henry stepped forward and swung his massive iron fist!

Henry punched, and the piercing roar echoed throughout the underground space.

But the heavy metal door did not break.

Henry withdrew his fist, revealing a one-inch-deep fist mark.

"A place as important as the warehouse isn't that easy to break into," Steven said with a smile.

"So what do we do? We don't have the key, and even Henry can't force it open, let alone the two of us." Earl looked at Steven helplessly, waiting for him to come up with a solution.

"No need to worry, this is a good thing. It means the stuff inside the warehouse is well-preserved!"

Steven calmly opened the extradimensional space and took out a bunch of tools.

First, a huge metal canister, then a pile of rubber tubes and iron objects resembling gun nozzles.

"A high-temperature torch!" Henry exclaimed as he immediately recognized the item.

It can emit extremely high-temperature flames, making it easy to cut through heavy metal.

Steven smiled faintly. "I have a lot of stuff in my space!"

He had obtained this item back in his warehouse area.

Although he didn't know its use at the time, Steven would collect anything he came across.

And now, it came in handy.

After assembling the torch, Steven handed it to Henry and gave him a thumbs-up with a smile. "It's up to you!" Steven said.

Earl, with an exasperated look on his face, said, "Captain Rogers, I thought you were going to handle this yourself!"

Steven said, "I've never done this kind of work before; I don't have enough experience."

Steven's reasoning was sound.

As a long-time security guard, Henry often encountered various daily problems. He was very familiar with using tools.

Whenever the community residents had a problem, they would think of asking Henry for help first.

Henry smiled, took the torch, and said, "I know how to use this. I used to do welding."

Henry picked up the torch, and Steven and Earl stepped back five or six steps.

A thin blue flame shot out from the nozzle and landed on the metal door.

The high temperature of the flame raised the surrounding temperature significantly.

The metal door was very thick, and Henry took a long time to cut a hole big enough for an adult to crawl through.

The three of them entered the warehouse through the hole, and the miner's lamp on their heads illuminated a variety of items.

It looked like they had entered a storage room of a large supermarket, with all sorts of things inside.

But compared to the Walmart South Warehouse that Steven had emptied, this place was much simpler.

After all, many items were stored for wartime and emergency preparedness, and had been there for some years.

Henry scanned the warehouse and suddenly pointed excitedly at an area, shouting, "Steven, look over there! Good stuff!"

Steven's gaze followed Henry's to a corner of the warehouse.

There, a large blue tarp covered something.

Upon closer inspection, he saw the edge of a steel bar peeking out.

"Building materials? I get it, these are materials for repairing West Mountain Base." Steven's eyes lit up.

They wanted to build a strong defense line to protect Emerald Estate, so sturdy and durable materials were essential.

Steven had been wondering where to get those materials, and now he found a pile right at West Mountain Base.

Given the size of the base, the underground space was prone to local damage, so repairs were a priority.

Three of them walked over and pulled off the tarp, revealing a large quantity of materials that made them gasp in amazement.

"So much?" Someone spoke up.

Steel bars and concrete were piled up like small mountains.

This was no exaggeration; considering the scale of the shelter, the materials here could almost build a two-story basement!

"All military-grade stuff, perfect for building houses and fortifications! Now we have the materials to build our defense line," Henry said happily. "Let's move them all!"

Steven didn't say much, and he stored all the materials into his extradimensional space.

As for the other items in the warehouse, there were too many to describe in one sentence, so he just gathered them all.

Inside the warehouse, they found several rooms dedicated to storing food. Most of the food was canned, with a few high-end items.

To Steven, these things were not very attractive, but leaving them here would be a waste.

Steven thought for a moment, then smiled and said to Henry and Earl, "I have enough food and drink at home. You two can split the stuff in this warehouse!"

He wouldn't eat these things himself, but giving them away as a favor was quite nice.

These supplies might not be valuable to Steven, but they were a different story for Henry and Earl.

Upon hearing Steven's generous offer, Henry and Earl immediately felt embarrassed.

During the attack on West Mountain Base, Steven had contributed the most.

Now, when it came to dividing the supplies, how could they take so much?

"Steven, you should take these supplies. After all, you did the most work. Without you, we wouldn't have dared to think we could take down West Mountain Base," Henry said.

Earl nodded in agreement and said, "Besides, how much can the two of us really eat? There's so much stuff here, it would take one person twenty years to get through it all. Captain Rogers, you should hold onto it for now. We'll come to you if we need anything later."

Steven smiled warmly and replied, "I consider you guys family, so there's no need to be formal with me. I won't forget you when I come across good stuff. But you're right, it's not practical for you to carry all these supplies. I'll store them for you. Just come to me whenever you need something."

The two nodded, feeling deeply moved.

Steven then stored the food in his extradimensional space.

The years of stockpiles at West Mountain Base quickly disappeared.

It was somewhat ironic. Peter had schemed to get the supplies in Steven's warehouse, but in the end, he lost everything, and his warehouse ended up in Steven's hands. After clearing out the warehouse, there was nothing left at West Mountain Base that Steven cared about.

There was still the first Life Warehouse that hadn't been searched.

But its defense level was no less than the shelter's, and Steven had no good way to break into it for now.

According to the shelter's information, it was mainly Peter's residence, with no valuable supplies.

Even if it held some of Peter's secrets, it didn't mean much to Steven.

So the three quickly left West Mountain Base.

Before leaving, Steven took out the rubble and blocked the entrance to West Mountain Base.

"Earl, you finish it up!" Steven gave Earl a look.

Earl nodded and activated his Supernatural ability, Blowing Snow.

A pale blue light gathered in Earl's hands, and the sound of wind and snow roared around them.

The ice and snow from the surrounding ground and slopes surged like an avalanche, filling the entrance to West Mountain Base and sealing the hundred-foot-long passage tightly.

In the future, anyone other than Steven would find it nearly impossible to get in.

Even though Steven had already looted the place, he didn't want to leave any chance for others to enter.

If he missed something and someone else found it, Steven would be very uncomfortable.

"Alright, let's head back!" Steven said; they didn't linger.

Not long ago, Steven had killed a Psychic and several soldiers from Silverlake Base. If others from Silverlake Base came, it would only bring trouble for Steven.

They hurried to leave, hoping to avoid any further complications.

The three got on the snowmobile and headed toward Emerald Estate through the wind and snow.

At this time, Lily came as usual to teach Steven fighting techniques and to collect a day's worth of food.

Although Steven had given her half a month's worth of food before, it was quickly eaten by her hungry students.

At West Mountain Base, the protein liquid they received barely kept them alive, let alone full.

So when they suddenly got a lot of food, they didn't think about the future. They just ate their fill first!

As a result, Lily now had to take on the task of providing their meals every day.

Besides teaching Steven fighting techniques to get barely enough food for ten people, she also had to take her students to the Mississippi River to fish.

Fishing wasn't an easy task. The fish weren't on the surface of the ice; many had dived into deep water to resist the cold.

So, their daily fishing was very exhausting.

Their life was quite tough.

But today, Steven happened to be away, so when she arrived, she didn't see Steven; it was Elinor who greeted her.

"Steven and the others went out on a mission and probably won't be back until late. Ms. Evans, how about we cancel today's lesson? Okay?" Elinor said to Lily with a warm and gentle smile, making it hard to refuse.

But it made Lily's eyes glaze over, caught in a dilemma.

It didn't matter if Steven missed a day of fighting techniques, but if she didn't bring back food, her students would go hungry for a day!
