Chapter 262 Tiger Special Forces

Peter had been poring over the intel from the past few days and finally pieced it together: Steven was sitting on a goldmine of Walmart supplies worth billions.

He got so pumped that he couldn't sit still, pacing around the room like a madman.

"This explains everything about his behavior! We gotta nab Steven!" he shouted.

Lisa, standing next to him, was just as stunned and thrilled. "Congrats, Mr. Martin! You've found another treasure trove for our Base!"

Peter nodded, feeling pretty smug. "Our supplies are running low, especially food and energy. We've been burning through them without any real restock."

"If we can snag the world's biggest warehouse, we'll be set for a decade!" Peter tossed the papers on the table and said, "Get Charles in here!"

Charles, the captain of the Tiger Special Forces, showed up in no time.

Peter cut to the chase: "Break into Steven's shelter and bring him back alive, no matter what."

"You can ask for any resources you need from the base," Peter added, unusually generous.

Charles, ever the soldier, didn't question a thing. Orders were orders.

"Yes, sir! Mission will be completed!" Charles said, looking like he could take on the world.

Lisa chimed in, "That shelter's supposed to be a billion-dollar fortress. If you need help breaking in, we've got engineers and demolition experts. And we're loaded with weapons!"

Charles nodded, a glint of excitement in his eyes. It had been a while since he had a real challenge.

He left to gear up for the mission.

Peter leaned back in his chair, rubbing his forehead. "We have to win this. Our supplies will only last six months. If we fail, we'll have to cut down on people or start a war with other shelters."

Lisa bowed and tried to reassure him, "Don't worry, Mr. Martin. Steven's just a small fry. He doesn't have a nuke. We'll win for sure."

Then she asked, "By the way, what do you want for lunch? You look exhausted. How about some chicken soup?"

Peter nodded, "Something simple is fine."

Lisa smiled and called the kitchen.

Suddenly, Peter had a lightbulb moment. "Lisa, I just thought of another way to tackle the food shortage. Think it could work?"

Lisa's mind raced. Whenever Peter had an idea, it meant days of hard work for everyone.

Whether it panned out or not, they'd have to give it their all to try it out.

Take Peter's idea of turning corpses into high-protein food, for example. That was one of his "brilliant" flashes of inspiration.

But Lisa, ever the loyal follower, looked thrilled and said in an admiring tone, "Mr. Martin, what genius idea have you come up with this time? Do tell!"

Peter grinned confidently. "We're short on food, right? I think we can still do better. Remember how we solved a lot of food problems by raising American cockroaches and reusing human remains?"

He went on, "We need to keep pushing the envelope. Think about other wasted energy sources. Like, can we reuse feces? Human digestion isn't perfect, after all!"

Lisa felt a bit queasy but managed to keep it together.

She kept her admiring smile and clapped her hands. "Mr. Martin, this idea is fantastic! I'll get the bio lab experts on it right away to figure out how to turn excrement into quality food."

Peter beamed with pride. "Sure, it's just a suggestion. See if it's doable."

Lisa laughed. "Your foresight is amazing. This could really ease the food pressure on the base. It'll definitely work!"

Meanwhile, Charles was already on the move, rallying the combat department for the upcoming assault.

He ordered Shawn and Yosef to set up near the shelter and gather intel to prep for the main attack.

They chose Cox Town as their base, where food was plentiful and the living conditions were top-notch.

Next, Charles gathered the Psychic team leaders and had them ready for action.

"This time, we're up against a powerful Psychic. Brittany and Zane were both killed by him, and Shawn and his team lost over a dozen men. We can't afford to be careless!" he warned.

In the corner, Lily listened to Charles's plan and had a sudden realization.

'Steven? Isn't he the one who broke into Innovation Academy and took Cindy?' she thought.

Lily remembered that Steven had two Psychics with him, but Charles hadn't mentioned this.

The difference between fighting one Psychic and three was huge.

Lily frowned slightly, a strange light in her eyes.

She didn't plan to share this crucial info with Charles.

The West Mountain Base felt like a prison, and she was desperate to escape

But leaving was easier said than done.

Once out, she'd need a safe place to go.

A bold idea popped into Lily's head.

Maybe she could reach out to Steven for help.

After all, Cindy was her student, and Lily figured she had some leverage with Steven.

So Lily took a deep breath and said to Charles, "Captain Reed, I want to join the team on this mission!"
