Chapter 51 Waiting to Get Infected!
Grace and the others were extremely angry now!
It was Grace who originally came over, tempting us to attack Steven's house.
Now we are the ones suffering, some dead and some injured, and you want to just abandon everyone and go enjoy yourself?
That's impossible!
Paul, who was undergoing surgery, heard that Alice was going to find Steven, which made him furious.
"Alice, how could you do this to me! Didn't you say you hated Steven the most?"
"Do you remember when you said you wanted to be my woman?"
Alice was slapped by Grace; she covered her face but stubbornly said, "Is it wrong for me to seek my own happiness? Staying with you all is just temporary, and in the end, we'll all run out of supplies and die, right?"
"Steven's house is so comfortable, with food and drinks, and no need to suffer from the freezing cold. Why wouldn't I go over there?"
She looked at Paul, who was in pain, with her face pleading, "You have to understand me."
"Paul, you're a good person, you've always been good to me."
"But loving someone means wanting them to be happy, right?"
"Although you've helped me in the past, you shouldn't stop me from pursuing a better life. Can you give me more than what Steven can?"
Paul's face was pale, and he didn't know how to respond.
Elinor frowned and said to him, "Don't move! Otherwise, I might cut an artery and you'll be doomed!"
Grace got nervous and hurried over to hold Paul down.
"Paul, don't be so angry with this despicable woman, your life is more important right now!"
She took a deep breath and stared at Alice, saying firmly, "Alice, if you want to leave, we won't stop you, but only if Steven brings medicine in exchange!"
Ivy blocked the door, standing tall, "Alice, if you leave, we should leave together!"
Alice glared at them hatefully, then reluctantly said to Steven, "Honey, you heard them, they won't let me go! So, you better give them some medicine!"
Steven was watching the drama unfold in the kitchen.
Upon hearing Alice's words, he smiled slightly and said, "Medicine is very precious, how do I trust that you're not trying to deceive me? They might even use you to threaten me, constantly asking me for things!"
"Alice, we can't be fooled!"
Since the microphone was on, everyone heard their conversation clearly.
Paul was still shouting excitedly, "Alice, don't believe him! He's just playing you!"
That's how outsiders saw it.
But as the person involved, Alice couldn't see it at all, especially in such a chaotic environment; her mind was already a bit abnormal.
When Steven gave her a glimmer of hope, she clung to it like a drowning person grasping at a straw.
Even though she knew rationally that it wouldn't save her life, she held on tightly, unwilling to let go.
She nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, Honey, you're right."
After saying that, she went crazy and rushed towards Ivy, who was blocking the door.
"You bitch, get out of my way!! Don't stop me!"
The two women immediately started fighting.
Alice had gone completely mad in her desire to get to Steven's house, her eyes bloodshot.
She desperately pulled Ivy's hair, biting Ivy's arm with her teeth.
Ivy, in pain, fought back like a madwoman.
They fell to the ground, behaving like two lunatics.
Grace couldn't bear anymore, as there were still several patients undergoing surgery, and their fighting could potentially affect the operations.
So she joined the fray, helping Ivy subdue the frenzied Alice.
"Let me go, let me go! Let me leave, let me go!" Alice screamed hoarsely, sounding like a madwoman.
Grace frowned, raised her hand, and slapped Alice's face several times.
Alice was stunned by the slaps and finally quieted down.
Grace coldly said, "You want to leave? Dream on!"
She picked up Alice's phone and made a call to Steven.
"Steven, Alice is with us now. If you really want to save her, bring medicine for exchange!"
Steven shrugged.
"There are too many of you, I'm afraid. What if you take the opportunity to kill me? So, Alice, even though I really want to live with you, they won't allow it. Don't blame me," Steven deliberately spoke loudly.
Naturally, Alice overheard his words.
She screamed in agony, looking at Grace and the others with hatred.
At the right moment, Steven hung up the phone, a wicked smile playing on his lips.
The cruelest thing in the world is to give desperate people a glimmer of hope, then make it impossible for them to reach.
He certainly wouldn't let in Alice, the scheming person and hypocrite, he just wanted to disgust those people a bit, even if they ended up killing Alice.
Back to Alice and the others, Alice wailed for a long time, eventually breaking down into a pitiful cry.
But she didn't hate Steven, she hated Paul, Grace, and the others.
She felt that if Paul and Grace hadn't stopped her, she would already be in Steven's house, eating exquisite food and enjoying the warmth of the fireplace.
Grace sneered at Alice.
She glanced at Ivy, satisfied with Ivy's performance just now, at least she wasn't on Alice's side.
They truly lived up to being false friends, betraying each other in times of crisis.
"You saw it too, this woman only thinks of herself, she never considers others. If you want to continue staying in our team, keep an eye on her! Don't let her escape."
Grace coldly said to Ivy.
Ivy nodded. "Mrs. Griffin, I will definitely follow your instructions!"
"Mrs. Griffin, I will definitely follow your instructions!"
She looked at the crying Alice on the ground, her eyes full of hatred, and said word by word, "I will never let her escape alone! If we suffer, we suffer together. Why should you be the only one to enjoy?"
In the living room, Elinor performed simple surgeries on three people.
Due to the lack of disinfection and anesthesia, she could only quickly remove the rusty tetanus arrows and stop the bleeding with gauze.
Sadly, they didn't even have sterilized cotton balls because the weather was too cold, and the medical alcohol had frozen.
The only good news was that the low temperature prevented them from passing out in pain.
But the downside was very apparent—in such extreme cold, the body was prone to necrosis.
After finishing the surgeries, Elinor wiped the blood off her hands.
She closed the toolbox and told Grace and the others, "I've just done some temporary treatments. Without medication, they are likely to get infected later. So be prepared."
Grace and the others looked helpless.
Since Steven refused to help them, how could they possibly get medication?
