Chapter 252 Busy Making Love

Right now, in Peter's room.

As the head honcho of West Mountain Base, his room was obviously the biggest and most decked out.

Peter had a knack for the finer things in life, so even underground, he lived it up.

His room's decor was just as swanky as Steven's place.

He was lounging on the sofa in white cotton PJs, with a gorgeous girl on each side.

A closer look showed they were survivors from Innovation Academy.

The one with curly hair and a killer body was Molly Cooper.

The other, with long hair and delicate features, was Sophia White.

Both hailed from families of wealth and privilege, and their appearances reflected years of meticulous grooming and expensive treatments.

Peter loved being around young women; it made him feel young too.

He'd just finished a romp with them and was now chatting about his life and dreams.

When he talked about the current issues at West Mountain Base, he looked all serious. "We've got some major problems at West Mountain Base! The energy supply's running low, and food's scarce."

"As the leader, I'm swamped every day, worried that if I mess up, people will lose faith in me." He said this while sipping a glass of wine worth a fortune.

Molly and Sophia, deeply moved by Peter's captivating story, a tale spun by this mature and experienced man, said, "Mr. Martin, running the whole West Mountain Base by yourself is no joke. You've been working so hard!"

Peter put down his glass and gave a faint smile. "Since I took on this role, I have to be responsible. If I don't, who will?"

He continued, "For the survival and growth of West Mountain Base, even if it's tough, I won't back down."

Peter looked at the two young beauties in front of him, enjoying the admiration in their eyes.

He decided that was enough for today.

He wasn't young anymore, and having sex with two at once was exhausting.

Peter picked up his phone and used the smart system to open the door, calling Lisa in.

By now, several hours had passed since Zane sent out the distress signal.

When Lisa entered the room, she told the two girls, "Please get dressed!"

The girls quickly got off Peter and put on their clothes.

Ignoring them, Lisa asked Peter, "Should these two stay or be sent back?"

Peter thought for a moment and said, "Let them stay for now!"

This meant Peter might need them again later.

Lisa got the hint and told two attendants to take them to the Second Life Warehouse and set up rooms for them.

The girls were thrilled; it meant they wouldn't have to go back to pedaling the generator.

After sending the girls away, Peter casually asked, "Someone came to see me earlier, who was it?"

Lisa replied, "It was Charles, the captain of the special forces."

"So late, what did he want?"

Lisa smiled slightly, "Two special forces members ran into trouble on a search mission and asked for help from the base."

"Charles came to request a rescue team, and I stopped him."

Peter just nodded slightly.

No matter how important those two special forces members were, they couldn't mess with Peter's chill time.

Peter said, "I named them Tiger Special Forces for a reason. They're my top dogs."

"Why would two of my best need help on a search mission? Did they run into something they couldn't handle?" Peter was a bit skeptical.

Lisa, trying to gauge his mood, asked, "Should I send someone to check it out? It'd give Charles some peace of mind."

Peter laughed to himself. 'Give Charles peace of mind? I'm the leader here. Charles was just a grunt under my command back in the day. Soldiers follow orders, not the other way around.'

Realizing her mistake, Lisa quickly said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Martin, I misspoke."

Peter said casually, "Fine, send a few people to check it out."

Then his tone shifted. "But don't send any of our top-tier fighters. Until we know what's going on, we need to save our best combat power."

Lisa nodded. "Yes, Mr. Martin!"

She immediately headed to the special forces area to relay Peter's decision.

Meanwhile, in the Second Life Warehouse where the core captain-level members of Tiger Special Forces were gathered, everyone was in the conference room.

Tiger Special Forces had two types of members: natural Psychics with perfect mutations and high potential, who served as captains, and artificial Psychics created using West Mountain Base's tech.

The artificial ones were generally weaker than the natural Psychics. They were stronger than regular folks but had significant flaws, so they could only serve as soldiers.

Charles had called all the captain-level folks together because of Brittany and Zane.

He wouldn't act without orders from above, but he was ready to lead a rescue as soon as Peter gave the go-ahead.

There were only seven people in the conference room, including Charles.

Among them was a new face, a female teacher named Lily who had just joined recently.

She held a newly acquired broadsword, ready to go like the others, waiting for Peter's order.

The room was unusually quiet; no one spoke, and everyone was lost in their own thoughts.

Lily was the same; she didn't know anyone here.

Most of the others were old comrades, worried about Brittany and Zane, with serious looks on their faces. They weren't in the mood for small talk.

Lily, not being a social butterfly, sat alone with her broadsword.

Captain Charles sat on the other side, arms crossed, eyes closed, trying to rest.

He seemed calm, but everyone knew he was extremely anxious inside.

He and Zane were old comrades, like brothers. Knowing Zane was in danger, he was the most anxious.

The group sat in silence, not knowing how long they'd been waiting.

Suddenly, the sound of high heels echoed down the hallway.

The sound was very familiar.

Not many people wore high heels around here, and Lisa was one of them.

Everyone's eyes immediately turned to the door.
