Chapter 104 Having a Baby Is Tiring

Nathaniel left, with Chelsea and Ashley following.

"This horse is called Apollo, and it is not very good-tempered. If you want to ride, let Ashley introduce you to a gentle one."

Nathaniel pointed to the horse Aurelia was feeding.

Among these horses, he only recognized it, which Oscar bought at a high price. After riding it around and breaking his leg, Nathaniel lay in bed for three months. Out of anger, he even wanted to kill the horse.

Nathaniel thought the horse looked quite charming, with a white patch in the center of its forehead shaped like a heart. He decided to take it, put it in his stable, and have professional workers train it.

Ashley was familiar with the horses here, and she knew which one had a fiery temperament. She quickly spotted a brown horse with a black tail and said,
"Nathaniel, that black-brown one is suitable for Aurelia to ride."

Chelsea listened quietly to the conversation, pondering Nathaniel and Ashley's dialogue, 'Aurelia is pregnant, yet Nathaniel still let Ashley introduce horses for Aurelia to ride. Does he not know about Aurelia's pregnancy?'

Aurelia fell silent for a moment and replied, "I don't want to ride."

Of course, she dared not ride now unless she wanted to risk the life of the baby in her belly.

Nathaniel thought she was just scared and encouraged her. "Don't be afraid. There's a professional horse trainer who can take you for a ride."

Chelsea stood by, smiling coldly. With Nathaniel's recent words, she could conclude that no one knew about Aurelia's pregnancy yet.

Chelsea thought, 'Discovering Aurelia's pregnancy feels like facing a formidable enemy. Aurelia's position in his heart is now just average. She doesn’t even dare to tell Nathaniel about her pregnancy.'

Chelsea felt much more relaxed now. She realized she had overestimated Aurelia's strength and competitiveness.

Chelsea took a step forward, stood outside the stable, and said, “Since we're all here, let's each pick a horse and race a few laps to see how fast Ashley's horses can run."

Ashley agreed, "Chelsea, you ride the little red horse. I'll take the white one, and the brown one is for Aurelia."

Looking back at the two remaining men, Ashley added, "You two can choose the remaining horses."

Aurelia stepped back. "You guys ride. It's inconvenient for me in a skirt."

Ashley, unusually enthusiastic at this moment, said,
"Aurelia, don't spoil the fun. We're all out here to play together; we can't leave you out. I'll have someone bring clothes over for you. Chelsea is also wearing a skirt, and she didn't refuse."

After saying this, Ashley took out her phone and made a call to have clothes delivered.

After a moment of silence, Caleb spoke up, "You guys ride. I'll take photos for you."

Aurelia and he refrained from participating. But maybe he could take the opportunity to chat with Aurelia while they were riding.

Nathaniel coughed. "If none of you want to play, don't trouble the horses."

Aurelia's face didn't look good. She felt a bit nauseous, probably from overeating. She endured the discomfort and quickly walked to the restroom. She regretted finishing Nathaniel's sandwich; now, she could taste the egg in her burp.

She emptied her stomach this time, and the nausea disappeared, leaving only a lingering heat in her esophagus. She washed her face at the sink and reached for some tissue on the wall, but someone handed her a piece.

"You must be tired of carrying the baby."

Chelsea held the tissue in one hand and crossed her arms, a look of amusement on her face.

"Are you working so hard without letting the baby's father know? I guess you're too scared to tell him."

Aurelia was stunned and wiped the water droplets off her face with the tissue.

Chelsea continued to taunt her.

"Do you want to surprise him? I suggest you keep this a secret; it will only be a shock to him. He doesn't want the child you're carrying."

In the midst of the conversation, Aurelia's phone emitted a ring, prompting her to retrieve it and answer.

"You've been in the restroom for quite a while. What's taking so long?"

"I'll be out in a moment."

Aurelia put away her phone and gave Chelsea a cold look.
"It's none of your business to comment on our marital affairs. You have no right."

Chelsea's anger flared up, and she grabbed Aurelia's arm. "I advise you to get rid of the child in your belly quietly; don't interfere in our relationship anymore. He doesn't love you; he loves me. You've seen it too. As long as I need him, he'll be by my side day and night."

Aurelia forcefully pushed her hand away and returned to the sink to wash her hands where Chelsea had touched. "Chelsea, is suicide the only skill you have left? Maybe one day, if you push him too far, he won't care about your life or death anymore."

Chelsea's face paled for a moment, then she laughed.
"Are you joking? Of course, he cares about my life and death. If I call him, he'll come. He owes me that. Let's die together and see who he saves first."

"If you want to die, go ahead and die. You're sick!"

Aurelia left her behind and walked out quickly, feeling a chill in her heart from Chelsea's words. She wasn't sure if, in a dangerous situation with Chelsea, Nathaniel would choose to save her.

She had no certainty.

Outside the restroom, the group waited under the sun.

Unknowingly, it was already noon, and the sun was scorching the earth.

Ashley shielded her head with one hand, complaining about Aurelia and Chelsea taking so long in the restroom.

"Are Aurelia and Chelsea both constipated? They took so long in the restroom, and I didn't even apply sunscreen today."

"Let's go."

Nathaniel didn't wait for them to come over and led the way out.

Ashley enthusiastically followed. "Nathaniel, how about we go to the influencer restaurant on Whispering Willow Lane while Caleb is here?"

Nathaniel paused for a moment. "You guys go ahead. I still have work to do."

His pile of work documents had stacked up like a mountain, and he had already wasted half a day. If it weren't for Caleb's annoying phone call earlier, he would have finished reviewing several contracts by now.

Unable to persuade Nathaniel, Ashley went to convince Caleb, wrapping her hands intimately around his arm. She believed that after spending the morning together, they were close enough. He was her fiancé, so these small gestures shouldn't matter, as physical contact could effectively bring two people closer quickly.

"Caleb, let's go to the influencer restaurant."

Caleb hesitated, gently removing her hands. "Ashley, I have something to do later. Maybe next time."

Ashley paused, remembering that was not what he had promised Reed when he came to their house in the morning. On the contrary, he had told Reed that he would spend the whole day with her and even take her to his company to play, but now, after just a few hours, he had changed his mind.

In no time, the group had reached the parking lot. Ashley got into Caleb's car directly, continuing her pursuit, using all the tactics she had learned from romance novels.

Caleb was tormented by her. "Ashley, can I discuss something with you?"

Upon hearing this, Ashley saw an opportunity.

"What do you want to discuss?"
Can't win me back
