Chapter 471 The Most Beautiful Aurelia, The Handsomest Nathaniel

Aurelia was a beat slow to react.

"What did you say?"

Nathaniel repeated himself, "Come home with me tonight?"

Phoenix straightened up immediately. What was Nathaniel saying? Were they really that close now?

Phoenix cleared his throat. "Aurelia, where do you live? I can give you a ride, and we can go over the shoot details. The ad team started editing, but the raw footage and photos are already in my email. We can pick some for the final cut."

Aurelia's expression turned serious at the mention of work. "They sent them to you that quickly?"

Phoenix nodded. "You should have a copy in your email, too. Check it out and let me know if you have any feedback so they can start making adjustments."

Aurelia glanced at her watch. The movie was over two hours long, and by the time they finished, it would be late.

"Do you have time later?"

Phoenix grinned like a fool. The goddess was asking if he had time, wasn't she? He'd make time if he didn't.

"Aurelia, I always have time for you!"

Nathaniel wanted to pull his hair out. Phoenix was really good at seizing opportunities.

The rest of the movie passed in silence, with everyone mindful not to disturb others. When it ended, Phoenix followed them out like a shadow, his baseball cap pulled low.

Nathaniel wasn't about to let Aurelia get into Phoenix's car. He led her to his own parking spot. Before he could say anything, Phoenix shamelessly got into his car and waved at Aurelia.

"Aurelia, sit in the back. It'll be easier for us to talk."

Nathaniel watched with his hands on his hips as Aurelia got into the back seat, fuming silently. How had he ended up as the chauffeur?

Phoenix, taking advantage of the situation, opened his phone to the pre-downloaded images and videos. He had planned this all along, hoping to discuss work with Aurelia after the movie. He guessed she wouldn't refuse.

It was a bit disappointing that Nathaniel was there, ruining his chance to be alone with her.

"Aurelia, take a look. These are all from this morning's shoot. Pick the ones you like best for final edits."

Aurelia took the phone from Phoenix, flipping through the images.

Phoenix's right hand tingled from the brief touch of her fingers. The warmth sent a shiver down his spine, a curious sensation.

Aurelia didn't notice Phoenix's reaction, focused on the photos. "I think this one would make a great poster. What do you think?"

Phoenix snapped out of his daze. "Aurelia, what did you say?"

"I said this one would make a great poster. What do you think?"

Phoenix looked at the screen, but his eyes first landed on Aurelia's hand holding the phone, her fingers smooth and elegant. He cursed himself silently. What was he thinking?

"Aurelia, you have a great eye. Every photo looks good, but this one has a strong atmosphere. Look at how the photographer handled the lighting. The diamond necklace's unique elegance really stands out."

Phoenix wasn't modest at all. Every shot was stunning, his face flawless from every angle.

Aurelia smiled. "You analyzed it just like I did. This necklace is the highlight of the collection, perfect for the poster."

Phoenix looked at Aurelia. "When Karma Jewelry's store opens, I'll be your first customer."

He leaned back, hitting the seat.

Nathaniel, hearing this, couldn't help but press the gas pedal. First customer? Did Aurelia need customers?

He sped up, wanting to get Aurelia home quickly and limit Phoenix's chances to talk.

Soon, they arrived at the Semona Family estate. Aurelia got out and waved goodbye.

As she walked away, Nathaniel turned to Phoenix with a scowl. "Get in the front. Am I your driver?"

Phoenix grinned mischievously, taking his time to move to the front seat. "Do you old guys always go straight for the invite-home move? It's kind of gross. Do women really like that?"

Nathaniel's brow twitched. He was only a few years older than Phoenix, but now he was being called old? For the first time, his age was a point of ridicule, and he had no comeback.

He felt a sudden anxiety about his age. In front of a twenty-something Phoenix, he did feel old.

Nathaniel glanced at Phoenix, starting the car. "So, you kids just use work as an excuse to get close to women?"

He added, "Childish."

Phoenix hated being called good-looking and hated being called young. He was a man of legal marriage age, not a kid!

"Who are you calling young? You're the one who's immature!"

Nathaniel, angry, pulled over. "Wanna settle this?"

Phoenix was taken aback. "Settle what?"

Nathaniel wouldn't be so perverse as to...

"Settle what? Pervert!"

"Get out!"

Nathaniel ordered, not wanting to share the space with this brat any longer. He felt an urge to punch him.

Phoenix cursed as he got out. Without Aurelia, he didn't care about riding in Nathaniel's car.

As soon as Phoenix shut the door, Nathaniel sped off, leaving him in a cloud of exhaust.

Back home, Aurelia found her kids still awake, preparing for the first day of school. Dorothy and Jacoba were excited.

Dorothy ran to her, hugging her leg. "Mommy, is Daddy really coming to our first day of school tomorrow?"

Aurelia pinched her chubby cheek. "Of course. When have I ever lied to you?"

Dorothy beamed, showing off her perfect little teeth. "My mommy is the prettiest in school, and my daddy is the handsomest. The other kids will be so jealous of me and Jacoba."

"And you and Jacoba are the prettiest kids."

Aurelia laughed softly. Parental bias worked both ways. She didn't know that she and Nathaniel were considered the prettiest and handsomest by Dorothy. If Nathaniel heard that, he'd be insufferably smug.

Aurelia checked the items Dahlia had prepared for Jacoba and Dorothy's first day, making sure nothing was missing. Then she took the kids upstairs to get ready for bed.
