Chapter 439 Bought It While Passing by the Pharmacy
Aurelia took small sips of air, filling her lungs with oxygen, then exhaled deeply, as if this was the only way to ensure she wouldn't suffocate.
After a long while, she nestled against his chest and murmured softly, "This afternoon I talked to Dorothy. She should be asleep now and won't be waiting for me."
Aurelia didn't directly answer his question, but Nathaniel understood the implication instantly.
Her lack of refusal meant acceptance.
Nathaniel cupped her face, his thumb gently caressing the corner of her eye. Such a simple gesture seemed incredibly intimate in this atmosphere.
He lowered his head to suck on her lips, which were plump and bouncy like jelly, never enough to satisfy him.
It was unclear how long they kissed, but Aurelia retained a sliver of rationality, warning herself that they were in the office. Her mind was a battlefield between a clear-headed self and an emotionally driven self.
Her shirt buttons were all undone, and Aurelia pushed the person buried in her chest.
"Nathaniel, someone might come..."
Nathaniel paused, looked around, and saw that the door was locked and the blinds were closed.
"Aurelia, the door is locked. No one will come."
He leaned in to kiss her again, but Aurelia dodged.
"No, I didn't buy that..."
Nathaniel released her and immediately pulled out two small boxes from his pocket, strawberry and vanilla-flavored condoms, her favorite flavors.
It was a familiar brand. He was picky and only used that brand, two boxes with six each.
Aurelia's eyelashes fluttered, suddenly feeling this was a setup. He bought lattes and those, called her over, and it was clear he had no innocent intentions.
"When did you buy these?"
Nathaniel didn't dare to hide it and admitted, "After dinner, I bought them when I passed by the pharmacy."
Seeing her scrutinizing gaze, Nathaniel felt a bit guilty. His little scheme was written all over his face, and he admitted he had ulterior motives for calling her over.
Aurelia glared at him, and he leaned in to kiss her eyes and eyebrows, trying to appease her.
"Aurelia..."
He lifted her onto the desk, squeezing himself between her legs.
"Baby, use me. You won't regret it, I promise you'll be satisfied."
His lips lingered on her body, and Aurelia felt surrounded by his tempting whispers, "Aurelia, use me..."
At the moment of fulfillment, both were stunned for a few seconds.
It had been almost five years since they had such intimate contact.
The familiar yet slightly strange feeling, five years of pent-up desire, poured out at this moment, and neither could control themselves.
Aurelia's hands curled up, and she called him in a gentle voice, "Nathaniel, move a bit."
Nathaniel held her waist, pressing down heavily after a long pause. He dreamed of pinning her down and making love to her, over and over again.
It was unclear how long it lasted, but Aurelia was drenched in sweat, her legs trembling, her strength drained, and he was still going.
The small boxes by his hand had two opened, from the desk to the floor-to-ceiling window, he led the whole way.
Aurelia's hands pressed against the glass, looking at the tiny figures below, feeling nervous,
"Nathaniel, are you sure this glass is one-way?"
If people below saw them, they were doomed.
Nathaniel bit the soft flesh on her neck again.
"Aurelia, focus..."
He promised to satisfy her, and he did. That night, Aurelia barely slept, spending most of it in the office. The last time, she was lying on the sofa, crying, unable to tell if it was her or the sofa shaking.
"Nathaniel, are you still not satisfied?"
Nathaniel's hands cupped her soft breasts from the front, coaxing her in a hoarse voice, "Aurelia, bear with me one more time..."
As dawn approached, he wrapped her in his suit and took Aurelia home.
Aurelia barely had the strength to shower, her eyelids heavy, falling asleep the moment she hit the bed, mumbling in her sleep, "Nathaniel, are you trying to kill me?"
Nathaniel covered her with a blanket, lying gently beside her. Despite a night of physical exertion, he wasn't sleepy at all, watching her sleep with immense satisfaction.
The next day, Aurelia was woken up by a call from Aurora, almost noon.
"Anna, why didn't you come today? You didn't forget about the afternoon interview, did you?"
Aurora was anxious on the other end of the line. Without Aurelia, how could the interview proceed? After trying to reach her all morning, she finally got in touch.
Aurelia checked the time, shocked that she had slept until noon, almost missing something important.
"I'll be there soon." Her voice was hoarse.
Aurora paused for a few seconds and asked, "Anna, are you sick? If you're really unwell, should I reschedule with the media? After all, they want to interview you, so they'll definitely come again."
"No need, I'll freshen up and head over."
Aurelia sat up, feeling pain all over.
On the bedside table were the unused small boxes of condoms from yesterday. She opened them and counted, half of each box was used.
Aurelia took a bath first, standing in front of the mirror, seeing her body covered in his bite marks. Nathaniel had some decency, leaving marks only where clothes could cover, with no visible marks on exposed skin.
Aurelia applied professional makeup, found a semi-formal suit in the wardrobe, and walked to the company on trembling legs.
Aurora sighed in relief when she saw her, bringing in a cup of hand-ground coffee as usual.
"Anna, did you prepare the questions I gave you a few days ago?"
Aurelia nodded. She liked to have things under control, and she had prepared for the interview in advance, thankful for her foresight.
Outside, an employee brought in a lunch box from The Velvet Palate.
"Anna, your lunch is here."
Aurelia hadn't ordered lunch, so it was obvious who had sent it.
"I know, you all go have lunch. I'm fine here."
Aurelia sat at the small coffee table, opening the packed lunch box, filled with her favorite authentic Imperick flavors. She had been craving this.
If Nathaniel hadn't brought the chef to Coral Bay, it wouldn't be easy to find authentic northern cuisine here.
Before she started eating, Nathaniel called, "Aurelia, are you hungry?"
At that moment, Nathaniel stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, vaguely seeing her about to eat through the two windows.
Aurelia responded, "A little hungry."
After a night of exhaustion and skipping breakfast, she felt she could eat two portions.
"Did you sleep well?"
Mentioning this made Aurelia angry. "Did you let me sleep?"
Nathaniel smirked by the window, "Aurelia, I can't focus on work."
As he said this, his mind was filled with the image of her pressed against the window last night, and his desk made him restless. His work efficiency that morning was so low it was unacceptable to him.
He felt like a young boy tasting forbidden fruit for the first time, even though it wasn't his first time making love, he was more excited than the first time.
It was the excitement of regaining something lost.
