Chapter 137 Manifesting Affection Between Spouses: The CEO and His Wife's Three-Minute Hot Kiss
The onlookers began to cheer collectively, and when someone started, the scene quickly spiraled out of control as everyone started shouting, "Kiss, kiss!"
Aurelia, feeling shy, blushed just hearing the commotion. She dared not look at Nathaniel, fearing he might actually come over. Such things were better left behind closed doors; performing on stage in front of a crowd was not ideal.
Time seemed to stand still for a few seconds, and Aurelia wished she could disappear.
Nathaniel stared at her for a few seconds, finding her embarrassed expression amusing. Despite their clashes in private, she was just a timid soul.
Gently lifting her chin, Aurelia suddenly looked up at him, resembling a startled deer.
"Don't..."
Before she could finish, Nathaniel gave Aurelia a soft peck.
People immediately raised their phones to take pictures, many of which had yet to touch their camera apps before the kiss had ended.
What happened to the promised three minutes?
Aurelia's face turned red, even purple, like an eggplant, and she did not know where to look.
On the other hand, Nathaniel acted as if nothing had happened. He calmly asked the host for the microphone, "That's enough. Aurelia is shy."
The crowd sighed in disappointment. If the boss said so, no one dared to make any more requests or tease Nathaniel unless they didn't care about their career in the Heilbronn Group.
Aurelia's face grew even redder, and her neck felt hot. She regretted not staying in the room; otherwise, she wouldn't have had this embarrassing experience or been publicly teased about her thin skin.
The awkward moment lasted for a few seconds, but it was mainly Aurelia's discomfort.
The host raised the microphone. "I guess we barely passed the first challenge. Now, it's time for the third. Mrs. Heilbronn, you can make any request to Mr. Heilbronn, and he must agree unconditionally. Everyone here is a witness."
Nathaniel wouldn't embarrass Aurelia in front of so many people. Women typically desired jewelry, and he was willing to grant her that. If she liked visiting jewelry exhibitions, then let her do so.
Nathaniel raised his eyes, indicating that she could make her request, and he would agree to whatever he could fulfill.
Aurelia hesitated with the microphone. Her first thought was about the babies in her belly. If she could get his unconditional permission, could she avoid having an abortion even if he didn't like them?
Of course, she couldn't say such a thing in front of so many people.
"Can I make my request in private?" she asked.
The onlookers cheered, "Mrs. Heilbronn, don't treat us as outsiders; we also want to hear it."
Nathaniel didn't mind. Whatever she wanted was fine; he had already agreed in advance. She wouldn't ask for anything unreasonable; he knew her well.
The host cleared his throat, recalling Zack's instructions before the game began. The game's mood was to be dictated by the Aurelia's feelings. If she were happy, Nathaniel would be satisfied, and if Nathaniel were happy, everyone in the company would be happy.
He immediately grasped the essence of the situation.
"The secrets of the couple are not to be probed into. Today, Mr. Heilbronn has agreed to Mrs. Heilbronn's request, which everyone has witnessed. The challenge is complete. Now, Mr. and Mrs. Heilbronn, please come forward together to claim our mysterious grand prize!"
Behind the winner's podium, the two HR assistants, sweating profusely, had finally managed to package the three boxes of condoms neatly decorated with ribbons. Just then, they heard the host's cue for the prize presentation.
The mysterious grand prize was brought onto the stage and placed in Nathaniel's hands.
He hadn't expected there to be an actual prize. It seemed rather dull for a CEO to compete with employees for prizes only to end up taking the prize himself.
Seeing the hopeful eyes below, he felt a pang of guilt.
"I think it's better to share this prize with all of you," he said.
Zack's expression suddenly tensed backstage. He hurried forward, intending to tell Nathaniel that he shouldn't do it.
Unfortunately, Zack was too late. Nathaniel had already torn open the packaging.
Upon seeing what was inside, a hint of embarrassment crossed Nathaniel's face. Aurelia also caught sight of the item in his hand and quickly squeezed out of the crowd.
The game had ended, and she had no reason to continue enduring the awkwardness with him.
Watching her hurried departure, Nathaniel looked at the item in his hand and couldn't help but rub his forehead.
If he had known what the mysterious grand prize was, he wouldn't have opened it. He could have let Aurelia take it back; the size was just right for him.
Nathaniel gathered up the torn packaging and stepped down from the winner's podium.
The people below were waiting for the prize to be distributed. Seeing the CEO open the item and then wrap it back up, some whispered, "Mr. Heilbronn said he would share the prize with us, but what now?"
"Right, I didn't even get a good look at this mysterious prize. Let us have a look!"
"The boss's business is none of our concern. It must be something good. Mr. Heilbronn wants to keep it for his wife instead of giving it to us."
Their conversation was interrupted by someone, "Did none of you see clearly? I did. It's a pack of condoms, the largest size."
The group of girls blushed, exclaiming, "Who would have thought of such a shameful prize?"
"I never expected Mr. Heilbronn to excel in all aspects. No wonder he's the man Imperick women most want to marry. Even the condoms he uses are in the largest size. Mrs. Heilbronn is so lucky," One added.
"Keep it down!" Someone reminded.
As they chatted, a new round of games began.
After escaping the crowd, Aurelia found a quiet corner where she could be alone for a moment. The sea breeze lifted a few strands of her hair. When they returned to the room, she planned to tell Nathaniel about the babies, determined to deliver both of them safely.
The night was a bit chilly, and she held her smooth arms, lost in thought.
A suit jacket fell on her shoulders, and a faint scent of tobacco and pine wood—Nathaniel's unique fragrance—filled the air.
Aurelia held onto the railing, turning her head.
Nathaniel didn't give her a chance to speak; he kissed her from behind.
His kiss was deep, like a young boy trying to kiss for the first time, never getting enough.
After maintaining that position for a while, Aurelia felt her neck begin to ache. She struggled slightly, gaining a brief moment of freedom, then turned to face him.
Nathaniel still held the mysterious prize in his hands, his voice hoarse, "Aurelia, it's not yet three minutes."
He leaned in again, one hand around her slender waist.
Aurelia tried to move away, warning, "Someone might come over."
Nathaniel was impatient; this secluded corner was known only to her. It had taken him a while to find her silhouette. Who else would come here?
"No one will come. Everyone is busy with the game," Nathaniel insisted.
As he spoke, the area dimmed as half the lights on the yacht went out, leaving only the starry lights used for decoration.
A cheer erupted from behind, "Look!"
