Chapter 438 My Girlfriend's Aesthetic Matters Most
Aurelia turned the steering wheel and made a U-turn, heading towards the company.
When the car stopped in the parking lot, Nathaniel was already standing there waiting.
The streetlight cast a long shadow of him.
Aurelia got out of the car, and he immediately reached out his big hand to hold hers.
"Have you eaten yet?" Aurelia handed her hand over, and the two walked side by side.
"I just ate something casually since you weren't around."
Nathaniel's newly rented office was on the same floor as Karma Jewelry. When they got out of the elevator, they were directly at his company.
Some employees from the Heilbronn Group had transferred from Imperick, and he had hired quite a few new people in the past few days. By this time, everyone had already left, and the entire company was quiet.
Nathaniel led Aurelia around, introducing each area to her, "Aurelia, this is the marketing department, this is the design department, and that area over there is reserved for new hires. Later, I plan to transfer some HR staff over as well. Once things stabilize, I might rent the floors above and below too."
Aurelia looked at the entire floor of office space. In just a few days, it already had a strong work atmosphere. The whiteboard in the corner had notes from the morning meeting, detailing the upcoming work progress and arrangements.
This floor wasn't as large as the office area in the Heilbronn Group building at Imperick, but it was still sizable, comparable to a medium-sized company's space. Most of the workstations were already assigned.
He was a man of action; when he said he would move the company, he really did it.
Looking at the rows of workstations, Aurelia felt deeply moved.
When he first mentioned moving the company, she was touched, but seeing him fulfill his promise filled her with sweetness.
"Mr. Heilbronn, you work pretty fast!"
She scratched his palm, not knowing what to say to express her current feelings.
Nathaniel held her hand tighter and looked at her with deep affection.
"I had no choice, Aurelia. I want to make our relationship official, and I'm afraid some other man might steal you away. I need to stay close and keep an eye on you. That fat guy didn't talk to you alone, did he?"
He mentioned Caleb again, that annoying guy.
Aurelia couldn't help but smile, "Caleb isn't fat, is he? Why do you always call him that? He's a president, isn't it inappropriate to give him a nickname?"
Nathaniel raised an eyebrow in dissatisfaction.
"He came back from abroad, and we could have rekindled our old friendship. But he's too much, trying to hit on you. How can I get along with him?"
"You're being jealous for no reason. Caleb and I are just friends; I've already made that clear to him."
This made Nathaniel feel a lot better. He stroked her chin and couldn't help but peck her lips. Just as he was about to deepen the kiss, Aurelia stopped him.
"Did you forget the rule we set yesterday? This is the office, and it's a public area."
Usually, offices had surveillance cameras. Aurelia looked around but didn't see any.
Nathaniel was unwilling, having just tasted a bit but not allowed more. He asked in a low voice, "Then how about going to my office?"
Aurelia's toes curled, "Go to your office for what?"
Nathaniel didn't answer her question but instead led her down a long corridor to the CEO's office at the end.
The layout was similar to his office at Imperick, with a black, white, and gray color scheme. Opposite was the Karma Jewelry office building, and standing by the large floor-to-ceiling window, she could see her office directly.
She had to admit, the location was perfect.
She thought, if he had a telescope, he could clearly see her working across the way.
Aurelia looked around the office, and Nathaniel let go of her hand, bringing her a cup of latte.
He had bought it from the dessert shop downstairs during dinner, planning to bring Aurelia over in the evening.
Aurelia swallowed; it was from her favorite dessert and coffee shop, which she only visited once a week to avoid gaining weight.
Nathaniel knew her dilemma, "Drink it, don't worry."
"Nathaniel, do you know how hard it is to lose weight? You're always tempting me!"
The weight she gained from his constant feeding at Imperick still hadn't come off.
"Don't worry, how about I get fat with you?"
Aurelia's eyes swept over him, stopping at his abdomen, imagining what he would look like if he gained weight.
Many men gained weight and developed a belly in middle age. She couldn't help but think that a chubby Nathaniel wouldn't feel as good, and losing those six-pack abs would be a shame.
"You better not get fat. You need to maintain your figure and keep those abs."
Nathaniel chuckled, "Alright, my girlfriend's aesthetic matters most."
He took her hand and placed it on his chest, guiding it down to his abs, "Want to feel them?"
Aurelia's palm itched. She wanted to, but felt it wasn't appropriate in this setting. The office was for work, and doing anything else felt out of place.
"Maybe... not?"
Her tone revealed her hesitation.
Nathaniel chuckled again, his breath warm on her head, making Aurelia's ears heat up.
She still held the latte.
Nathaniel hugged her from behind, his hands circling in front, and inserted a straw into the cup,
"Aurelia, take a sip."
He guided her hand, bringing the latte to her lips. Succumbing to his temptation, Aurelia took a sip.
"Drink more."
Aurelia sucked hard, but he suddenly took the cup away, causing the latte to spill on her chin and drip down her neck.
Aurelia froze, about to look for a tissue, when he suddenly appeared in front of her, facing her.
Nathaniel gently cupped her face, and the next second, his hot kiss followed the coffee trail, kissing away the spilled liquid.
The air instantly became sticky and humid.
Aurelia hadn't drunk any alcohol, but she felt dazed.
He knew her sensitivity and how to seduce her.
Aurelia tilted her head back, her throat dry and burning, needing a drink. She swallowed, her eyes hazy as she looked at him. She didn't realize how erotic this unintentional action appeared to Nathaniel.
He stopped at her chest, and they locked eyes, both filled with intense desire.
"Aurelia..." He called her name in a husky voice. "Is your period over?"
Aurelia's mind was too foggy to think straight, her lips slightly parted, exhaling latte-scented breaths.
He asked again, "Can you stay with me tonight?"
