Chapter 418 Daddy Kissed Mommy
After dinner, Jacob pulled Reed to the sofa. "Great-grandpa, I have a gift for you."
Dorothy took her little bag and said, "Great-grandpa, I also have a gift for you."
Reed responded with an "Oh?" full of anticipation. He was very curious about what gifts these two children under five could have prepared for an old man like him. "Hurry, show me."
Dorothy had drawn a picture that included her parents, her brother, herself, and her great-grandpa. Although the drawing was not very skillful and the strokes were childish, it did not affect the message the picture was trying to convey.
"Great-grandpa, this is our family. I wanted to draw you looking more handsome, but I haven't learned well yet. Next time, I'll draw you better and make you the most handsome great-grandpa in the world."
Since Reed's eyesight had deteriorated with age, he held the drawing at a distance to examine it. The old man in the picture was seated in the center, and the two children on either side were clearly them.
But when his gaze moved upward, it became a bit...
Reed coughed twice. "Dorothy, are those your mom and dad up there?"
Dorothy answered, "Yes. Daddy is kissing Mommy. Last time, Daddy kissed Mommy like that, and I saw it."
Reed laughed, "Good, you are very smart."
The living room was filled with Reed's laughter.
At that moment, Aurelia was awkwardly changing the TV channels with the remote, not paying any attention to what was on the screen.
Nathaniel stood to the side, drinking tea and scratching his head awkwardly. This family really had no secrets left.
He clearly remembered avoiding the two kids every time he had intimate moments with Aurelia, but somehow they had been seen and even drawn, and now explained to Reed.
Reed carefully put the drawing away and praised Dorothy.
Next, Jacob also came to present his gift.
"Great-grandpa, this is the gift I prepared for you."
Jacob had prepared a photo book. When opened, it contained photos of him and his sister from childhood to the present. He had stuck to Dahlia to take him out to print them. He had seen his aunt make a photo book before and had always wanted to make one himself. This time, he finally had the chance to give it to Reed.
Reed flipped through the photo book, which included pictures of the two children from newborns to preschoolers, and he was overjoyed.
But when he reached the last page, his body froze, and his smile stiffened.
Nathaniel, wary of his son causing more trouble, had been keeping an eye on them. Seeing Reed's expression, he glanced over at the photo book in Reed's hands.
In that moment, he wished he could dig a hole and hide in it.
Jacob had taken a picture of him doing laundry, and he was washing one of Aurelia's bras. He recalled it was probably at the Imperick estate when Aurelia couldn't touch cold water during her period, so he had hand-washed her bra for her.
At this moment, Reed looked at his grandson with eyes full of both appreciation and praise.
Nathaniel couldn't stay in this place any longer, nor could he continue to entertain the kids. He patted Aurelia, who was focused on changing channels with the remote, from behind.
"I said I had something to give you yesterday. Come upstairs with me."
He did have a gift for her, but he also wanted to escape the awkward atmosphere. He would leave the two kids with Reed.
Aurelia responded with a confused expression and immediately understood. She stood up and followed him out of the room and upstairs.
Aurelia breathed a sigh of relief, finally feeling freer. She had been overwhelmed with embarrassment just now, and Nathaniel certainly felt the same.
It was back to just the two of them.
Nathaniel took out the ruby he had bought at an exhibition from the safe. Dorothy had been jealous of this gem for quite a while.
Thinking back, it was quite interesting. At that time, he and Dorothy had competed for this gem, essentially an adult bullying a child, and both father and daughter had wanted to give it to the same person.
No matter what, this gem was meant for Aurelia.
Aurelia looked at it for a long time and gave her evaluation, "I like it. Nathaniel, when did you start collecting jewelry?"
This was one of Aurelia's habits. Whenever they traveled to a new city, she would always set aside half a day to visit the local jewelry market and buy anything she liked. Over time, their home safe had become full.
Back then, Nathaniel had been very annoyed by this habit of hers, mainly because he didn't like shopping and felt it was a waste of time. He thought he could handle a lot of work in that time.
At some point, when they traveled for business or other matters, Nathaniel would specifically inform Zack to leave half a day free.
He wanted to accompany her shopping.
Nathaniel laughed, "I don't remember. I guess I was influenced by you."
Nathaniel held the gem against Aurelia's neck for comparison and concluded, "Not bad, it really complements your skin tone. You can draw a design, and I'll have someone make it for you to wear."
Aurelia put the gem back in the box, "Let's save it for now. It can be part of Dorothy's dowry in the future."
Now, she always thought about the kids and wanted to save everything for them.
Nathaniel licked his lips, "Our family lacks nothing. Even if we did, you come first. Girlfriend first!"
As he said the last few words, he deliberately moved closer, his voice magnetic and seductive in her ear.
Aurelia couldn't help but blush and punched him on the shoulder, "Control yourself, Dorothy saw us."
Nathaniel chuckled softly but didn't make a sound. Aurelia could feel his chest vibrating. He accused, "I didn't do anything, did I? Why are your ears red?"
"You're the one blushing." Aurelia stubbornly denied it.
Nathaniel pulled her to the mirror, insisting on proving it to her, "Come and see if you're blushing."
He stood behind her, and they looked at each other in the mirror.
Nathaniel's arm naturally circled around her waist, "If you don't admit it, I don't mind making it even redder."
With that, he leaned in and bit the soft flesh on her neck, not using much force, like a feather tickling her, slowly moving up to her ear.
He knew exactly how to tease her.
This behavior was like claws scratching at her soul. Aurelia was tormented by his bites, with countless desires arising in her heart.
And he showed no signs of stopping, continuing to torment her will.
Aurelia's breathing became rapid, and she was about to go crazy! What was this man trying to do in broad daylight?
"Nathaniel!"
