Chapter 460 That Woman Is Here Again

Aurelia didn't have time to speak before Patrick took over the conversation.

"Aurelia, you rarely come to the company. Shouldn't we all have a meal together to bond?"

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow and asked, "Bond over a meal?"

He had been running the company for many years and knew how to manage his employees well. What mattered most to them was their income. Getting the job done and receiving bonuses were more effective than anything else.

After all, no one was lacking a meal, and dining with the boss could be awkward and stifling.

"It's not just about bonding. Some work matters are easier to discuss over a meal. After all, we've talked to new partners, and the company's operations require maintaining various relationships."

Nathaniel agreed with Patrick's words and then turned to ask Aurelia, "If you have to attend a dinner tonight, I'll pick you up."

"Okay."

Aurelia then asked, "Shouldn't you be heading to the company? It's already late."

Nathaniel, with his hands in his pockets, looked relaxed, "I've been absent for so long, what's one more late arrival?"

As he spoke, the elevator doors opened, and the three of them stepped out. Aurelia's office was right next to Patrick's, separated by a wall.

Nathaniel looked around her office for a while, sat on her sofa and office chair, and even knocked on the wall, "This wall isn't connected, right?"

Aurelia found it both amusing and annoying. How could he get jealous like this, asking such silly questions when there was clearly a wall in between?

"Nathaniel, if you're really that bored, come help me with my work."

Nathaniel checked his watch, "I'll stay for another ten minutes."

Aurelia opened her computer to check emails, many of which were work-related from Karma Jewelry, with a few from Thompson Enterprises.

"Nathaniel, do you think I should change the company's name?"

She was so fed up with hearing "Thompson" that she wanted everything around her to have nothing to do with it.

Nathaniel nodded, "Indeed, the current name is no longer appropriate. I'll find someone to suggest a few good names for you to choose from."

"Okay."

As they were talking, there seemed to be a commotion outside, and someone shouted, "Patrick, Patrick, that woman is causing trouble again."

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow, "See, he's not a good person. Women are causing trouble at his company."

Aurelia lifted the blinds and saw the person outside, both of them were stunned.

"How did she get here?"

Nathaniel didn't dare to speak; he needed to avoid suspicion and couldn't afford any more misunderstandings like before.

Aurelia opened the door and coincidentally, Patrick stepped out of his office.

"Patrick, does she often come to the company to cause trouble?"

Patrick didn't want to say, but since she had caught him, he had to nod. "She comes every few days, gets escorted out by security, and then comes back a few days later. She says this is her dad's company and wants us to return it to her."

Chelsea, who was pregnant, didn't show yet but had already gained some weight, looking well-fed. She seemed to be living quite well.

Aurelia hadn't thought of checking on her, but she came first. Causing trouble at the company every few days, who could tolerate that?

Aurelia felt a bit sorry for Patrick. He had a good position at Coral Bay but was sent to Imperick to deal with this mess and had to face Chelsea's occasional harassment.

The key issue was that she was a pregnant woman, and they couldn't do anything to her.

Patrick sighed and told Aurelia, "You should go back. It's best to handle this calmly. Every time she comes, we just escort her out. The more we engage, the more trouble it causes."

Patrick made sense, and Aurelia realized she had been a bit impulsive. Chelsea was now a pregnant woman, and if anything happened, it would be bad luck for anyone involved.

Rather than arguing with her, it was better to avoid her. She would eventually tire out from causing trouble alone.

Aurelia agreed and was about to turn back when Nathaniel also came out of the office. By this time, Chelsea had already rushed into the office area, shouting, "This is my dad's company! Give back what belongs to the Thompson family!"

When her eyes fell on Nathaniel and Aurelia, her shouting stopped. It was the first time she had seen them despite coming so many times.

The person who took over her dad's company was now living a comfortable life, while she was living in a hellish existence, constantly worrying about when her baby would be born, and if she would be taken to serve her sentence when the baby was born. What would happen to the baby then? Who would take care of it?

A myriad of problems were tormenting her, driving her to the brink of madness.

When she was unhappy, she would come and cause trouble as a form of release.

Chelsea sneered, "Aurelia, you finally showed up."

Aurelia calmly replied, "I've never been hiding from you! Oh, by the way, I visited the prison a few days ago. Norman has lost a lot of weight and has some injuries on his face. I don't know who he offended in there. Have you visited him?"

Chelsea's eyes turned cold. Her father was her only remaining relative in the world, and hearing that he was not doing well inside made her heart ache and worry that she would soon face the same fate.

"Aurelia, you're so cruel! No matter how bad my dad was, he raised you. How could you do that to him? You personally sent your father to prison. Doesn't your conscience hurt?"

Aurelia smirked, "Sorry, he's your father, not mine. I only know that I sent an economic criminal to prison. If he hadn't done those things, who could have done anything to him?"

Chelsea sneered, "Aurelia, our whole family was ruined by you. You'll go to hell after you die."

"I don't believe in that, and I don't think I've done anything wrong. On the contrary, your family harmed me. You and Maria conspired against my mother, causing her tragic death. Maria took the blame alone, but as a murderer, what right do you have to accuse others?"

Chelsea, wearing an electronic device, spoke cautiously, not revealing any incriminating evidence.

"Aurelia, stop slandering me. How could I harm you? I wouldn't dare do such a thing. There are too many hidden truths in this matter. My mother and I were both wronged. Now that you've taken my dad's company, what more do you want? This company is the lifelong effort of my parents. They've worked hard for a lifetime to achieve what we have. Why should you enjoy the fruits of their labor?"

Aurelia said, "I'm here to tell you why. Because Norman founded the company with my mother's private money, and the initial orders were all secured by my mother alone. Do you think Norman, a man who only knows how to take advantage, could do anything?"

She continued, "That useless man only knew how to steal his wife's money to support his mistress. Everything you had as a child was from their joint property. Now, I am the largest shareholder of this company. Do you think I have the right?"
