Chapter 423 Infuriating
During the years Aurelia spent by Nathaniel's side, she became very familiar with his methods of running the company. This advertising expense couldn't be spared.
Caleb raised an eyebrow slightly, running through the list of popular celebrities under his company. There were indeed a few who were currently very popular, with large fan bases, mostly female fans.
For endorsing jewelry, they were indeed suitable.
Caleb asked, "What do you think of Phoenix Sawyer?"
Aurelia was not unfamiliar with this name. He debuted in a boy band and broke into the entertainment industry with his handsome looks, starring as the lead in two hit dramas. He was undoubtedly a rising star with a massive following.
There were quite a few fans of his in the company, including Aurora. She even had Phoenix as her phone wallpaper and posters of him at her workstation.
Aurelia considered for a few seconds. Phoenix indeed had a huge following, but he was male.
Karma Jewelry's target market was primarily women. At most, they might release a couple's ring in the future, but Aurelia hadn't considered designing men's jewelry for sale yet.
Because it really wouldn't sell. Men weren't that interested in these things; a pack of cigarettes might be more tempting to them.
"Is it okay to have a man endorse a women's product?" Aurelia didn't understand the logic and was genuinely seeking advice.
As they spoke, the waiter began serving the dishes.
Nathaniel poured a glass of water and drank it nonchalantly. "If you don't like him, I can help you contact other celebrities. There are more than one media company in the country. How about Nola Skye?"
He mentioned a popular female star to Aurelia, not wanting her to collaborate with Caleb, giving Caleb more opportunities to get close to her. He admitted he wasn't a magnanimous person.
Caleb wasn't showing off. When it came to media, Nathaniel was indeed an outsider compared to him.
He opened his phone's Instagram and showed Phoenix to Aurelia. "Look at how many followers he has."
Aurelia wasn't a fan and rarely paid attention to the entertainment industry. She was genuinely shocked when she saw the number behind the profile picture. "That many?"
Caleb nodded. "That's not the most important part. The key is that ninety percent of his fans are women, and they are very loyal. Can you imagine his influence?"
Aurelia was genuinely impressed.
Caleb then opened the profile of the female star Nathaniel had mentioned, Nola, and analyzed it for her.
"She has quite a few fans, but the difference is that more of Nola's fans are male. Considering everything, I suggest you use Phoenix. Think about it."
Aurelia felt that Caleb made sense, and when it came to celebrity endorsements, she trusted Caleb's opinion more. After all, professional advice was always more reliable. No matter how capable Nathaniel was, he couldn't be an expert in everything. Otherwise, what would be the difference between him and a machine?
She asked, "Can I find out how much Phoenix's endorsement fee is?"
Caleb took a sip of tea without mentioning a specific amount. "I've worked with your brother Joe for many years, and we trust each other. Whether it's celebrity endorsements or corporate ambassadors, your brother always comes to me first. If you decide to use Phoenix, I'll give you the lowest price."
"That's not necessary. I'm here to seriously discuss cooperation, not to take advantage of you. Just set the market price; I can afford it."
Caleb smiled sincerely. Talking to her was indeed more relaxing."Alright, I'll send you a price later." Caleb said, pushing his teacup to lightly clink against Aurelia's cup, "Good luck, and may your brand sell like hotcakes!"
Aurelia responded, "Thanks for the good wishes. If sales are booming, I'll gift you a set of jewelry."
As they chatted, the cooperation was essentially finalized.
Nathaniel sat on the side, eating, but for some reason, everything he ate today tasted sour. He watched as Aurelia was persuaded away.
The key was that Caleb's arguments were so convincing that he couldn't think of a way to refute them. After all, he genuinely wanted Aurelia's brand to succeed. It was her dream.
In the past, Aurelia had stayed by his side, giving up her career and ambitions. Now that she was finally brave enough to pursue her dreams, he naturally wanted to support her, not become an obstacle on her path to success.
Nathaniel comforted himself with these thoughts, feeling slightly better.
Aurelia invited Caleb to eat. Caleb wasn't a pretentious person and was usually straightforward, saying whatever was on his mind.
"My sister has always wanted to order a set of jewelry from you for her wedding. She's been asking me for a long time. I'm here to ask you on her behalf. Aurelia, sell me a set so I don't embarrass myself in front of my sister?"
Speaking of Nova, Aurelia remembered that she had indeed approached her several times.
At that time, she didn't take orders from Imperick. Later, when she was preparing to launch her brand, she stopped taking individual orders from socialites and wealthy ladies.
"I'll design a set for her separately. I'll contact her later to note her preferences."
"Thank you, Aura."
"You're welcome!"
Aurelia and Caleb continued chatting, while Nathaniel, who had just calmed himself, got agitated again when he heard Caleb call her Aura.
Aura? Was that something Caleb could call her? How could a company president have no sense of social etiquette? That was way too intimate!
Nathaniel asked, "Caleb, don't you have a girlfriend?"
Caleb understood Nathaniel's jealousy but didn't care. He innocently followed up. "No, I'm single. Why?"
Caleb's expression was infuriating, but he just wanted to provoke the class bully from elementary school.
Back then, he was chubby and often sick, and this jerk had given him a nickname that stuck, so even now, his elementary school classmates still called him "Fatty," despite him no longer being fat and having built muscles.
Nathaniel said, "Calling my girlfriend so intimately is inappropriate. Don't do it again."
"Sorry, it's a habit." Caleb was getting back at Nathaniel for his earlier awkwardness, deliberately bringing up the past four years.
Those four years were the darkest in Nathaniel's life, and he had nothing to say.
But Caleb was different. Four years ago, he was lucky enough to meet his goddess. He had enough time and ability to pursue her, and although he didn't succeed, he had no regrets.
Nathaniel was silent for a long time. "The past is the past, and now is now. Aurelia and I are in a relationship. If you keep calling her that, I'll think you want to be a third wheel."
Aurelia, sipping her soup, choked unexpectedly, tears streaming down her face.
Caleb handed her a tissue, and at the same time, Nathaniel also handed her one.
Aurelia took a deep breath, looked around, and reached for a tissue on the table herself.
