Chapter 134 Have You Taken a Condom?

One by one, all the staff had arrived, and the servants on the cruise ship had been busy all afternoon preparing exquisite food—seafood, red wine, champagne, fruit, and desserts were all ready. The rooms had also been tidied up.

Excitedly, everyone boarded the ship with their room keys in hand, eager to bring their luggage on board.

Nathaniel's luxurious suite was on the top floor, and both of their belongings were in one suitcase. Zack led the way, carrying the suitcase upstairs.

Nathaniel, carrying the large gift box, followed behind with Aurelia.

"Aurelia, did you bring condoms?" Nathaniel's question made Aurelia's heart skip a beat. What was this man thinking about in broad daylight? He was always thinking about sex and was not even worried about his assistant making fun of him.

Considering Zack was in front of them, she replied in a low voice, "No."

Nathaniel didn't consider his assistant visible at all but air around him. He asked, "Why didn't you bring any? Don't you want to make love with me?"

Aurelia wanted to cover his mouth. "Let's talk about this later."

Nathaniel glanced at her blushing ears, a slight smile playing on his lips.

Zack, walking ahead, felt like he had a target on his back. Fortunately, he had tight lips. He had heard many similar conversations before. If he shared any of these in the group chat, the members would be so excited they wouldn't be able to sleep all night.

It was surprising to see their CEO so anxious. Normally, at the office, he had a cold and abstinent demeanor. Who would have thought that in front of his wife, he would appear so needy? The profile of the cool and collected CEO was crumbling.

Zack quickly dropped off the luggage in the room and left, not wanting to see anything he shouldn't. He didn't want to risk being silenced by the CEO. His fiancée was waiting for him in their room.

Inside the room, Aurelia tried to avoid Nathaniel, dreading him bringing up the earlier topic.

Unfortunately, what Aurelia feared came to pass.

Nathaniel opened the suitcase on the floor and searched for a while, looking disappointed. "You really didn't bring any?"

He thought she might have avoided mentioning it in front of Zack, but after searching the suitcase thoroughly, he couldn't find any.

Aurelia sat on the edge of the bed, daring not to speak.

Nathaniel sat down beside her, then leaned back and fell onto the bed. The sudden movement caused the mattress to tremble under his weight.

"Aurelia," he called softly, one hand playing with her loose hair at the back.

Aurelia shivered at his call. The way he called her name was too familiar. Whenever she begged with a sob, he would kiss her eyes and say, "Aurelia, look at me."

At that moment, she could easily guess what he wanted.

Aurelia shifted a few inches away from him, trying to create some distance.

The next moment, Nathaniel directly hooked her waist and pressed her beneath him.

"Aurelia, are you doing this on purpose? Are you mad at me?" He thought she was still sulking, deliberately not bringing condoms. She knew she couldn't use other brands, as they were too thick and the sizes didn't fit.

Nathaniel looked down at Aurelia, moving all her loose hair behind her ears.

"Aurelia, how long has it been since we last made love?"

It had been a long time, so long that he couldn't even remember. When Nathaniel wasn't on a business trip, or she wasn't on the period, they used to make love almost every day. He finally realized that something was wrong between them, but he didn't know when it had started.

He had been busy lately and had neglected her in many ways. It had been a long time since he had bought her jewelry or bags. Nathaniel blamed himself for his carelessness.

"Aurelia, why are you avoiding me?" He wanted to understand why she was acting so distant now when she used to be so sensitive to his touch, always responsive. Now, she seemed to avoid his touch at all costs.

He felt that they were very out of sync in this aspect.

Aurelia trembled her lips and asked him carefully, "Can we sit up before talking?" The position they were in was dangerous, and she was afraid he might do something inappropriate or press too hard on her belly.

Ignoring her request, Nathaniel said, "Tell me why, and then I'll let you go."

Placing her hand on her belly, she used the little strength she had to push him away. "I'm not avoiding you," she said.

Still trying to get a clear answer, Nathaniel persisted in his questioning, wanting to understand. This issue was deeply affecting their relationship. She was clearly avoiding him and lying about it.

And he couldn't bear it anymore.

"Aurelia, tell me, was it that it hurt, or you felt uncomfortable, or was the position wrong when we did it before?" he asked.

Aurelia blushed at his words. "Not at all. Please get up."

Nathaniel couldn't understand. "Was it because it lasted too short?"

He started to doubt himself deeply, recalling the last time they were intimate. It hadn't been that bad, and he remembered Aurelia's every reaction clearly. She seemed to enjoy it.

Soon, he realized the problem wasn't with him.

"Aurelia, tell me the truth. Is there anyone else?"

If she didn't want to be with him, there was only one possibility—she didn't love him anymore and had someone else in her heart. This was the case with her, as she was particularly emotional about love.

As Nathaniel thought about this, a heavy feeling settled in his heart. He went to Coral Bay to find Samuel before but failed. He wondered if she had found out something.

When Aurelia heard his questioning, tears fell suddenly. "What are you talking about?" she asked angrily, her eyes red.

Once again, hearing his groundless suspicions, she felt stifled and extremely uncomfortable. She loved him so deeply, without any reservations, and yet he doubted her like this.

Why did he doubt her feelings for him?

The one who was wavering between different women was clearly him, and Aurelia felt insulted.

Nathaniel squinted and asked again, "Have you found Samuel?"

Aurelia stared into his eyes, realizing he was genuinely asking and not joking.

That hurt the most.

"Yes, I found Samuel," she lied, turning her face away, not wanting to look into his eyes. She answered in line with his assumptions, feeling so angry and numb all over.

Upon hearing her affirmative answer, Nathaniel's face immediately darkened.

"If you don't want this anymore, then get the divorce proceedings done quickly. I, Nathaniel, won't keep a woman who hesitates. Your infidelity during marriage makes you the fault party, and you should leave with nothing. But I'll allow you to take all the jewelry, bags, and clothes I gave you."

His words calmed Aurelia's conflicted heart. He was indeed as ruthless as she thought. With just a few words, he could easily arrange a divorce, and he even thought about her, allowing her to take the handouts he had given her.

Aurelia felt a mix of sadness and amusement. "Thank you for your consideration. I'll take the things I bought myself and leave what shouldn't be mine."

Nathaniel got up from her and slammed the door as he left.

He spent a long time on the deck, the unlit cigarette forgotten in his hand.

He called Zack. "Investigate the people Aurelia has recently been in contact with."

On the other end of the phone, Zack was with his fiancée. Nathaniel's request caught him off guard. Nathaniel only asked him to investigate Aurelia's recent whereabouts when he was angry.

They had just been fine, showing affection on the beach, and now what had gone wrong that they were arguing again?

Zack reminded him, "Mr. Heilbronn, Mrs. Heilbronn has been with Reed recently. She hasn't been in contact with anyone special."

"Do I need to find a new assistant?" Nathaniel asked coldly.

Zack acted immediately.

Aurelia, having sorted out her clothes, sat up. She didn't want to explain; She thought, 'Let him be. Why does he always say inexplicable things to make me upset?' She wanted him to experience the feeling of a third party interfering, even if it was fake, to see if it would upsethim.

Tiffany called out to her on Facebook, so Aurelia changed into new clothes and went to the lower deck of the cruise ship, where the banquet was already underway. Everyone was dressed in their finest attire, toasting and laughing, creating a lively atmosphere.

Aurelia picked up a plate to get some food.

"Aurelia?" Someone called out to her. It was Oscar. She smiled back at Oscar.

"Aurelia, where's Nathaniel? Did you hide him somewhere?"
