Chapter 463 Become a Mother to a Moore Family Heir
Arthur chuckled, "Nathaniel, why are you here again? I'm doing fine. You young folks should focus on your own things. No need to visit me all the time. Spend more time with Aurelia."
Nathaniel exchanged pleasantries. "I still have time to visit. I'm heading back to Coral Bay soon. I'm also here on behalf of my grandpa to see you. Hope you get well soon."
"You're too polite. Say hi to your grandpa for me."
As they were talking, Oscar walked in from outside, holding hands with a sexy woman with red lips.
Nathaniel finally understood why Arthur was in such a good mood.
"Dad, let's eat first." Oscar and the woman each carried several boxes of food. They set up a small table by the bed and started placing the takeout dishes from the restaurant on it.
"Dad, this is from our own restaurant, made to your taste. Enjoy."
Arthur felt great today, no dizziness or blurred vision. He felt like he could sign eight contracts in one go after leaving this room.
"Alright, let's eat! Let's see what my son brought me today."
Aurelia and Nathaniel stayed in the room for a while longer. Seeing it was getting late, they said goodbye to Arthur and left. After walking a few steps, Oscar came out to see them off.
Seeing them with suitcases, he asked, "Are you two heading straight to the airport?"
Aurelia nodded, hesitating whether to ask a question. Nathaniel asked for her, "Where did you find that woman?"
Oscar looked back cautiously to check if the door was closed. He ushered them forward, speaking only after they had walked a distance.
"I rented her from a nightclub. I had no choice. I'll come clean with my dad after his surgery."
"Did you ask Dr. Lopez?"
Oscar nodded, "I showed him the scans yesterday. He said the same as the doctors here, that surgery is needed soon. He's already helping to arrange it. We'll transfer hospitals once my dad's condition stabilizes."
Oscar sighed, "Thank you, Nathaniel. Dr. Lopez is such a renowned expert. Without your help, I wouldn't have been able to contact him. Knowing he'll personally operate on my dad gives me a lot of peace of mind."
Nathaniel was taken aback. "I only helped you get in touch. I didn't make an appointment, and it was through someone else. I don't have a personal relationship with Dr. Lopez."
Oscar scratched his head. "Then why was Dr. Lopez so enthusiastic to help me?"
"Doesn't matter why, as long as you got the appointment. If you need any help during this time, don't hesitate to ask."
Oscar's eyes welled up. He suddenly felt he shouldn't have cursed Nathaniel before. A true friend teased one when things were fine but rushed to help when there was trouble.
He silently promised himself not to curse Nathaniel anymore.
As they were talking, the seductive woman came out of the room.
Nathaniel pointed with his chin, "We're leaving now. Take care. Renting a girlfriend from a nightclub, aren't you afraid of getting blackmailed?"
Oscar's mouth twitched, "It was an emergency. I had no choice. I asked you to introduce someone, but you didn't."
Nathaniel wanted to tape his mouth shut. He wasn't a playboy; how could he know so many women to introduce?
"Let's go!" Nathaniel pulled a suitcase with one hand, and Aurelia followed him into the elevator.
At the airport, before boarding, Aurelia thought it was best to inform Ulysses. Who knew when they'd be back next time? She sent him a message but didn't receive a reply for a long time.
At that moment, Ulysses was drinking alone in broad daylight.
Yesterday, he had packed Oscar's things and delivered them to the hospital, only to see that ungrateful Oscar walking in with a woman. Oscar clearly saw him but said nothing, just walked past him with the woman.
Ulysses went home and didn't sleep all night, drinking all the alcohol in the house.
Seeing all the traces of their life together, he found it hard to accept.
He couldn't help but call Oscar, but it was rejected. When he called again, he was blocked.
That guy was truly ungrateful!
Ulysses silently decided never to speak to him again after this.
Meanwhile, Oscar had settled his father and watched him fall asleep before leaving the room.
The woman clung to his arm. "Oscar, your father is asleep. Do you want to rest too? I'm afraid you'll get tired."
Oscar was physically and mentally exhausted these past few days. He wanted to rest, but every time he closed his eyes, he had nightmares about the company collapsing, his father falling, and his mother and sister crying. Even though they were just dreams, they scared him.
"I'll rest here. Call me when my dad wakes up." Oscar sat on a bench in the hallway, leaning back.
"I meant, do you want to get a room at the hotel next to the hospital? It would be more comfortable to lie down."
The woman suggested, but Oscar was already asleep, lightly snoring. He was too tired, having not slept all night.
The woman looked disappointed but had to hide it. She gently moved his head to her shoulder.
Oscar suddenly woke up and pulled his head away, "Move over a bit. Don't touch me."
The woman was confused. She had heard of the Moore family's young master from her time in nightclubs. When he approached her yesterday, she was thrilled.
Getting close to someone like him meant luxury bags and watches.
If she was lucky, she could even become a mother to a Moore family heir.
"Oscar, why don't you lie down here and rest your head on my lap? It would be more comfortable."
Oscar glanced at her. She was wearing a tight mini skirt, her legs exposed.
He looked away. "I told you to stay away from me. Don't you understand?"
The woman felt wronged, "I'm just worried about you. Why are you so mean?"
Oscar held back, "Sorry, please move away."
The woman reluctantly moved to the other end of the bench. Only when Oscar felt she was far enough did he lean back and close his eyes.
Aurelia and Nathaniel's flight landed at night. Not wanting to disturb anyone, Aurelia went home with Nathaniel, as she had a full set of toiletries at his place.
Aurelia casually changed into pajamas, washed up, and climbed into bed.
Nathaniel was leaning against the headboard with a book, waiting for her.
Aurelia paused as she lifted the blanket, seeing Nathaniel watching her.
