Chapter 462 Found the Doctor Who Delivered You Back Then
Back in the car, Aurelia seemed a bit lost.
Nathaniel took the car keys from her hand and asked to drive himself.
Aurelia was startled and asked, "Can you?"
"It's just a small injury. It's more dangerous for you to drive in your current state."
Aurelia sat in the passenger seat and, after a while, asked, "Her child is gone. Is she going to be taken away to serve her sentence next?"
Nathaniel focused on driving and replied, "Probably."
"Nathaniel, do you know anyone well at Merry Hospital?"
"Yes, why?"
"Stop the car first."
Nathaniel didn't know what she wanted to do but stopped the car by the roadside.
Aurelia said, "I was born in this hospital. Do you think the doctor who delivered me is still around?"
Nathaniel realized what she was thinking. "It's been twenty-eight years. The doctor who delivered you should be retired by now, unless they were rehired. If not, it's unlikely we'll find them at the hospital."
Nathaniel paused and then said, "I know the current dean. We can ask him about it."
Aurelia agreed.
They drove back to the hospital.
Nathaniel took her directly to the dean's office.
The dean heard Nathaniel's voice, took off his reading glasses, and placed them on the table, smiling as he invited them in.
"Mr. Heilbronn, what brings you here today?"
"Dean Rivera, I'm here to ask for your help with something."
Nathaniel donated money to the hospital every year, so the dean was naturally eager to help with his request.
"Mr. Heilbronn, just tell me what you need. As long as it's within my power, I won't refuse."
"It's like this: Aurelia was born at Merry Hospital twenty-eight years ago. Can we still access the medical records from back then?"
Dean Rivera looked troubled.
"I can't guarantee that. Our hospital only switched to an internet system in the last ten years or so, with all departments connected. The old records aren't in the system. We might have to go through the archives, but the chances of finding them are slim, given how long it's been."
"Please try. If you can find them, great. If not, I'll think of another way."
Dean Rivera nodded and smiled, "I'll have someone go through the archives. Mr. Heilbronn, please send me Aurelia's mother's name."
"Her name is Brenda. She gave birth to Aurelia at Merry Hospital twenty-eight years ago."
"Alright, I'll let you know if we find anything."
After leaving the hospital, Aurelia asked, "How long until the results of my and Burry's test come out?"
"About ten more days."
Aurelia had a strong premonition that the doctor who delivered her was bribed by Norman and Brenda, and that the mysterious Burry was her biological sister.
If they could find that doctor, the truth might come to light.
Nathaniel held Aurelia's hand tightly.
"Aurelia, there's something I haven't told you. The detective I hired in Elvenia found some clues. Burry has leukemia and has been undergoing treatment recently."
Aurelia's heart tightened, "How could she..."
Nathaniel comforted her, "Don't worry too much now. The drug lord is treating her well and is looking for a match for her. If the test results show that you are indeed sisters, we'll find a way to save her."
"Is it possible?"
"Rescuing someone from a drug lord is not easy, but there's always a way."
Aurelia got into the car with a heavy heart.
Nathaniel dropped her off at her company and then returned to the Heilbronn Group.
Early the next morning, Dean Rivera called, "Mr. Heilbronn, we didn't find the medical records, but we did find the doctor who delivered Aurelia. Her name is Rosalind Claire, and she no longer works at the hospital."
Nathaniel's frown relaxed. As long as there was a lead, it was good.
"I understand. Thank you, Dean Rivera."
"You're welcome, Mr. Heilbronn."
After hanging up, Nathaniel immediately called Zack.
"Check all the information on a doctor named Rosalind Claire, including her current address."
Zack received the order and hurried to carry it out.
Aurelia was packing their luggage. They were returning to Coral Bay today, and there was a lot to take even though they had only been back for a few days.
There were many small items she wanted to take from the Bloom Villa. She had already left a lot behind, but the last two suitcases were still full.
They had booked an afternoon flight. Nathaniel watched Aurelia pack and pulled her to sit on the sofa.
"Aurelia, stop packing for now. We might not leave this afternoon."
"Why not?"
"We found the doctor who delivered you. She no longer works at the hospital. I asked someone to find her current address. If she's in Imperick, we'll visit her today."
Aurelia thought for a moment and said urgently, "If we find her, we must ask her in person."
"Don't worry. I'll help you find out everything."
Aurelia sniffed, "Unfortunately, my mother is no longer with us. Even if we find out the truth, she won't see or hear it."
"We can tell her. Take me to her grave when we get back. I haven't paid my respects there yet."
Aurelia looked up at him, "That's not true. Four years ago, didn't you sleep at the cemetery for a month? She knows you paid your respects."
Nathaniel looked embarrassed. He didn't expect her to bring up that incident, which was a humiliating memory for him.
"Aurelia, I was in bad shape back then. Next time, I'll clean myself up. I don't want your mother's spirit to laugh at me."
"Don't flatter yourself. My mother never acknowledged you as her son-in-law. Mr. Heilbronn, you're not even officially my boyfriend yet. Don't get too cocky."
Nathaniel looked a bit defeated, "Then after I become official, you can take me."
"Alright."
The two of them were being affectionate on the sofa when Zack called.
"Mr. Heilbronn, I've found the information. I've sent it to your phone."
After hanging up, Nathaniel opened Facebook to see the information Zack had sent.
Aurelia asked eagerly, "What does it say?"
"Aurelia, our plans remain unchanged. Rosalind retired and moved to Coral Bay to help her son with his children. Zack has sent the address. We'll visit her when we get back."
Aurelia immediately got up from the sofa, "Then I'll continue packing."
Once everything was packed, they went to the hospital to see Arthur before leaving.
Arthur looked better today, at least in good spirits.
When Nathaniel and Aurelia walked into the ward, no one else was there. Arthur had an IV in his arm and was humming a song. When he saw Nathaniel and Aurelia, he tried to sit up.
Nathaniel quickly went over to adjust the bed, "Arthur, don't move. I'll do it."
