Chapter 233 Gaining Two Little Fans
Aurelia ignored the couple's accusations and first comforted her two children.
She said softly, "Jacob, Dorothy, don't be afraid. Can you tell Mommy what happened?"
Before the two children could speak, Thiago's mom interrupted, "You still have the nerve to ask what happened? Your kids are bullying other children in the kindergarten because there are two of them. Look at what your kids did to my son. "
Aurelia didn't blindly accept what they said or blame her children. Instead, she immediately asked the children for the details.
She said again, "Jacob, Dorothy, tell Mommy what happened."
The children were quite scared, especially when Thiago's parents arrived, looking like they wanted to hit them.
Dorothy, seeing Aurelia, started to cry.
She explained, "Mommy, Thiago said Jacob and I are bastard because we don't have a dad. I told himwe are not, and then he hit me first. That's when Jacob hit him back."
Jacob, who was more stubborn, didn't shed a tear despite being bullied.
He said, "Mommy, Thiago hit Dorothy first. He pulled her hair and pinched her arm. I couldn't pull him away, so I had to hit him. He called us wild kids, yet he was the one who did wrong first."
Aurelia felt a pang of guilt in her heart hearing her children's account. The things she worried about most had finally happened as the children were starting to understand and care about not having a father.
Even if she didn't mention it, other kids would use it to bully them.
Her eyes fell on Jacob's arm, which had a large red mark, and she felt heartbroken.
"Dorothy, does it hurt?" she asked.
Dorothy shook her head in refusal and glanced at Thiago's tall and intimidating father, who was glaring at them. She was too scared to speak.
In her little mind, she thought Mommy couldn't beat Thiago's dad, so she swallowed her grievances.
Aurelia stood up and shielded the two children behind her, saying, "Principal, teacher, I have understood the situation. I believe you also heard how the conflict between the children started. My son and daughter did nothing wrong. Thiago provoked them first and hit them first. Now I demand that Thiago apologize to my children!"
Hearing that, Thiago's mom immediately got agitated. She retorted, "What? Are you kidding me? My son is the one who got hurt. Why should we apologize? I demand a medical examination, or I'll sue you!"
Aurelia didn't bother reasoning with the unreasonable couple. Instead, she directly addressed the principal and teachers, "I chose this kindergarten for my children because I believe in its educational philosophy and its ability to properly educate and guide children. But if the children here are taught to be so ill-mannered, to bully others verbally, and refuse to apologize, then we will choose another school."
The principal panicked upon hearing this. The kindergarten's library was donated by Joe and was only half-built. If these two children left, where would the remaining funds come from?
This would be a disaster for him.
The principal pleaded, "Ms. Simona, please don't be angry. Thiago was indeed wrong in this matter. We will guide him properly. I promise this won't happen again."
Thiago's dad, ready to fight at any moment, bristled at Aurelia's comment about Thiago being ill-mannered.
He said arrogantly, "Principal, what are you talking about? My son is the one who got hurt; he is the victim. Why should the victim apologize? I, on behalf of the PTA, suggest that the school expel Jacob and Dorothy to prevent such behavior from happening again."
The principal looked visibly troubled.
Aurelia snorted calmly, "The PTA, right? Since we're on this topic, I formally report that Thiago's parents are using the PTA to organize meaningless activities to make money, privately collecting money from other children, and fostering a toxic environment in school."
Thiago's dad turned redwith anger, scolding, "What nonsense are you talking about?"
Aurelia continued, "If Thiago doesn't apologize to my children today, I suggest expelling Thiago to purify the class environment."
The situation had escalated to a point of no return. The principal, after much deliberation, made his decision.
The principal suggested, "Thiago's parents, you see, Thiago was indeed wrong in causing the fight. How about we have him apologize?"
Aurelia was extremely protective when it came to her children and would never back down. If her children were offended, she would fight tooth and nail.
Thiago's mom, simmering with anger after much brewing and arguing, was furious that her child got beaten and now had to apologize.
But the principal was siding with the children who beat her son She realized that if this continued, her son would be expelled.
Unable to contain herself, grabbed a cup of hot water from the table, throwing it at Aurelia and the children.
Aurelia saw the movement and had no time to think about which child to protect first. She lunged to shield them.
However, she didn't feel the burn.
Caleb had already stepped in front of her, taking the full brunt of the hot water on his back.
Despite feeling the burning pain, Caleb gritted his teeth and forced a smile, asking with concern, "Are you and the kids okay?"
He didn't care about his own injury; his first thought was for Aurelia and the children.
Seeing that, Aurelia was stunned and she asked, "Are you okay? Did you get burned?"
Caleb shook his head in denial, then expressed, "As long as you guys are okay."
Aurelia was livid. She had carefully chosen this kindergarten for her children, only to encounter such unreasonable parents. Her eyes fell on another cup on the table, and she quickly picked it up and threw it back.
Thiago's mom was stunned, but fortunately, the water was cold, so she wasn't burned. She looked at Aurelia in disbelief, feeling a wave of fear. If that cup had been hot, she would have been disfigured.
"How dare you throw water at me? Honey, she threw water at me!" she reacted emotionally.
Thiago's dad was about to fight, but Caleb blocked him. "What, you want to fight?" he taunted Caleb.
"Who's afraid of whom?" Caleb shot back.
The two men took it outside, away from the women and children, for a one-on-one confrontation.
Caleb, trained in Taekwondo, quickly took down hisopponent.
Aurelia, with the two children, followed outside and saw the fight was over.
Surprise lit up Jacob's face."Mommy, he is amazing! Is he a fighter? Can I learn to fight with him?" he asked Aurelia.
Dorothy clapped and cheered, "He is awesome!"
Caleb's victory earned him two little fans.
