Chapter 312 Do You Dislike My Voice?

They were momentarily stunned by the sound, then Nathaniel's voice reached their ears. "Are you a peacock? Why do you always ask people if you look good? "

"Do you talk to your ex-wife like this too? You both seem pretty boring. How did you even get through your days? Did you just have sex without any conversation?"

"If you're so interested in other people's privacy, why not join the paparazzi? Why be an entertainer? I think you'd make a great entertainment reporter!"

"Do you dislike my voice? If you don't like the mature woman vibe, I can use a cute loli voice to call you!"

"Are you out of your mind?"

Outside the stairwell door, Lori clung tightly to Nathaniel's suit jacket. She had seen many cold men, but they were all just pretending. She didn't believe that any man could remain indifferent to a beauty like her.

When men stripped away their facades, they became beasts ruled by desire.

This Nathaniel in front of her was said to be one of the hardest men to get in Imperick, even a model with a great body couldn't win him over. This only fueled Lori's desire to challenge him.

She enjoyed challenging men who were difficult to pursue.

"Darling!"

The stairwell was so quiet that only the conversation between Lori and Nathaniel could be heard. Lori's loli voice made the other three get goosebumps.

It was the first time Nathaniel had encountered such a persistent woman.

"Are you crazy? What are you doing here?"

Initially, Nathaniel didn't have a bad impression of Lori. She seemed cold and aloof. Matthew had called saying Lori was being harassed by paparazzi and asked him to help. Lori's father was Beatrice's doctor, so he thought it wouldn't hurt to do a favor.

Who knew it was a trap!

Underneath Lori's cold exterior was a very flirtatious heart, and she wanted to seduce him!

He recalled Aurelia's words while they were dancing, "Mr. Heilbronn sure attracts a lot of women!" He was really annoyed by Lori.

Nathaniel suppressed his displeasure. He wanted to leave and find Aurelia. With the power out, Aurelia had mild night blindness and might not be able to see the way. He was very worried.

But Lori clung to his coat, her eyes full of seduction. The way she clung to him, it was clear that even if Nathaniel had eight mouths, he wouldn't be able to explain himself.

Nathaniel took off his suit jacket and threw it at her,

"If you don't want to ruin your career, just don't follow me!"

He opened the stairwell door and was instantly chilled to the bone when he saw who was inside, breaking out in a cold sweat.

"Aurelia, what are you doing here?"

Nathaniel asked this question with a guilty conscience. He wasn't sure when Aurelia had arrived, or if she had heard Lori flirting with him. If she had, he was in big trouble.

Aurelia paused, glancing behind him, saying,

"I was about to go downstairs, got tired and stopped here to rest."

"Then let's go together, I'll take you home."

As soon as Nathaniel finished speaking, Lori's arms wrapped around him from behind like vines.

"Darling, your waist feels so good, I wonder if it's durable."

Lori saw Aurelia and Caleb standing on the stairs, their expressions frozen. After all, her public persona was that of a cold goddess.

The next second, she let go and changed her expression, as if she hadn't just been speaking or clinging to a man.

If she wasn't embarrassed, then others would be.

Nathaniel was very frustrated. He had just thrown away his jacket, and now his shirt was stained with this woman's scent. He took a few steps forward to distance himself from Lori.

Seeing Aurelia's expression, he guessed she had heard everything.

Nathaniel was extremely annoyed. No woman had ever dared to seduce him so boldly, and now his beloved had seen it. This could lead to another misunderstanding.

So his path to winning back his ex-wife was likely to be fraught with difficulties and obstacles.

"Aurelia."

He called out pitifully, thinking, this woman really wasn't his doing!

Nathaniel silently prayed that Aurelia wouldn't misunderstand. He really had nothing to do with Lori, and today was only the second time they had met. He hadn't even gotten a good look at her face.

Aurelia had caught her breath and turned to Caleb, who had been silent for a while, saying,

"Let's go."

Nathaniel scratched his head, what did that mean, was it a misunderstanding?

Nathaniel said, "Aurelia, let me take you."

Aurelia said, "No need, you seem very busy."

Nathaniel said, "Not at all, it's never inconvenient to take you home."

He followed her downstairs, completely ignoring Lori.

They climbed down twenty-something floors with just the light from their phones. Aurelia was glad she had changed into the flats Zack had brought her, otherwise her feet would be done for today.

Downstairs, Aurelia saw that Nathaniel had followed them.

She wanted to talk to him about Marcus, mainly to prevent Marcus from bothering her again.

The parking lot was right next to them.

Caleb was already ready to drive her home, twirling his car keys in his hand.

Aurelia said,

"Sorry, Caleb, I need to talk to Nathaniel about something. I won't be taking your car today."

Caleb stunned. Aurelia had been snatched away by Nathaniel again. How was he so lucky, even in the stairwell he could seize the opportunity.

"Aurelia, how about I wait in the car? You can talk to him and then we can leave?"

Caleb said, feeling aggrieved,

"You were my date today. I picked you up from home. If I don't take you back safely, people will say I'm not a gentleman."

Aurelia said with a slight smile,

"Alright, wait for me. It won't take long."

Caleb happily walked to the parking lot.

Nathaniel, who had heard their entire conversation, was feeling quite pleased, thinking Aurelia had something private to tell him,

"Aurelia, there's no one here now, you can speak."

Aurelia felt this matter concerned the Heilbronn family business. If someone with ill intentions overheard, who knew what trouble it could cause. Rumors were one thing, but it could even affect the stock price. Not to mention she held a large amount of Heilbronn Group stock, and the Heilbronn Group was Reed's life's work. She didn't want to see Reed worry about these things at his age.

Aurelia looked around, feeling it wasn't safe, fearing eavesdroppers.

"How about we talk in the car?"

Nathaniel maintained a calm exterior but was inwardly delighted, thinking Aurelia was going to give him a treat.

"Aurelia, my car is over here."

He led Aurelia to his car. Zack was sitting in the driver's seat playing a game. Seeing Nathaniel and Aurelia approaching, he quickly opened the door to greet them.

Nathaniel took the car keys from Zack and said,

"You can go, don't come back. We have something to discuss."

Zack, being perceptive, knew better than to stay and disturb them. He quickly made his exit.
