Chapter 54 Lolly's Hobby

The moment the door opened, she was startled to see Nathaniel standing outside.
"Nathaniel, what are you doing here?"
Nathaniel walked in briskly. "Who else would it be?"
Chelsea remained silent. Her panic was apparent to Nathaniel.
She adjusted her nightgown, concealing the marks on her chest from last night's encounter with the madman. She feared Nathaniel would misunderstand.
Nathaniel noticed her subtle movements.
"You won't see that man again," he stated.
Chelsea was taken aback. "Which man?"
She was unsure of what Nathaniel knew. She was always cautious, only inviting the man over late at night or early in the morning. She wondered if the man had exposed himself.
Nathaniel didn't respond. Instead, he went to the door, scanned his fingerprint, and reset the password.
"Don't change the password again!" He commanded.
Chelsea was too frightened to speak.
"Nathaniel, I..."
Nathaniel glared at her. "Call me Mr. Heilbronn from now on."
Chelsea's heart sank.
Was he trying to distance himself from her? She didn't know what had angered him.
"Nathaniel, what do I do wrong?" Chelsea asked.
Nathaniel looked at her with disgust. "Chelsea, I've known you since we were children. You were always kind and innocent. Why would you do such a thing? She's your sister. Is it that unbearable for you to see her having a happy life?"
Chelsea felt relieved by his questions. As long as he didn't find out about the man, there was still hope.
Chelsea didn’t take it seriously, as she had just sent someone to scare Aurelia. Nathaniel had always indulged her. And she believed as long as she admitted her mistake while shedding some tears, he would forgive her. She thought her little trick would also work this time.
Chelsea wiped away her tears.
"Nathaniel, I did it because I love you too much. I just want to be with you. Please don't be angry. I'll apologize to Aurelia. I'll do anything as long as she can forgive me."
Nathaniel pushed her hand away.
"Chelsea, she's your sister and my wife. Did you think I wouldn't find out about your malicious actions against her?"
Chelsea cried softly. "Nathaniel, I was wrong. I just wanted to marry you and be your only wife. And when I was twelve, you promised to marry me, didn't you?"
Nathaniel rubbed his temples. He regretted saying those words when he was young, as it had led to her malicious thoughts.
"Protect what's yours and stop coveting what belongs to others."
Chelsea sat down, feeling desperate, as if her soul had been torn apart.
"Nathaniel, do you no longer want me? Are you willing to throw away our twelve years of love?"
"If it weren't for our long friendship, do you think you could still be sitting here? I don’t want the things last night to happen again," he said before leaving.
The Heilbronn Group building seemed to have been shrouded in gloom that day.
The employees were afraid of making mistakes, and Zack was especially cautious.
"Mr. Heilbronn, I heard that Lolly has a hobby of collecting all kinds of jewelry. She frequents high-end auctions and even street vendors. She's sure to attend our charity jewelry auction," Zack said confidently.
Nathaniel thought of Aurelia. She also liked to collect all kinds of jewelry. Once, during a business trip, Reed insisted on bringing Aurelia with them.
Nathaniel had no choice but to bring Aurelia along.
After finishing their business, they went out to have lunch. As they passed by a jewelry stall, Aurelia spent a few dollars on a bracelet, which she later placed in a cabinet with the luxurious jewelry he had given her.
At that time, he was dissatisfied with her taste.
Nathaniel stopped his wandering thoughts and continued to give Zack instructions.
"Release the news now; the bigger, the better. Then contrast the guest list with that of the recent jewelry exhibition in WestCity. Pay particular attention to those who attended both events."
Zack immediately went to carry out the order.
Aurelia was in the hospital room when she saw the news about the Heilbronn Group's charity jewelry auction. The event, which would be held in three days at the International Auction Center in the city, would raise funds for public schools in impoverished areas.
She opened Twitter, and the Heilbronn Group's official account had also posted a statement. Aurelia couldn't help but like it.
Nathaniel used her jewelry for charity without her consent. Aurelia suddenly remembered the black card that Nathaniel had given her.
It was time to spend some of his money.
Three days passed.
Aurelia logged into her private work email and saw several emails from the Heilbronn Group, in which they expressed their sincere wish to see her at the charity jewelry auction.
Aurelia didn't reply. She couldn't attend the charity event under Lolly’s name.
She didn't care where the charity event would be held; what she cared about was that Nathaniel wanted to use her jewelry for charity. Those were all her collections from different stores; some of them were bought at a high price, and they were all her hard work.
She had never had much material desire. Her only hobby was collecting jewelry.
If Nathaniel wanted to take away her precious collection, then she wouldn't hesitate to spend his money to buy them back.
If he wanted to do charity, then let him do it to the fullest.
It was the weekend, and Aurelia planned to go to the mall first to buy a new outfit. She couldn't dress too casually for such an occasion; she needed to buy a formal dress. Ulysses was the best at matching clothes, and he knew the high-end stores in Imperick very well.
Aurelia called him out to go shopping together.
They went to a mall recommended by Ulysses.
Unfortunately, as soon as they entered, they saw Chelsea and Ashley on the first floor, looking at jewelry at the Heilbronn Group's store.
Ashley noticed Aurelia first and nudged Chelsea with her elbow. "Chelsea, look who's here."
Chelsea saw Aurelia and quickly reacted. "Are you shopping here? Do you need to buy jewelry? I can ask Nathaniel to give you a discount."
Ashley, standing aside, said unhappily, "What discount? She's spending my brother's money!"
Chelsea was a little upset, but Ashley didn't understand what she meant and kept mocking Aurelia for spending Nathaniel's money.
"Aurelia, do you want to come and take a look? Don't worry, you'll definitely get a discount," Chelsea said.
Aurelia admired Chelsea's acting skills. They had already officially broken up, but Chelsea still maintained this false friendliness, which was quite tiring.
Chelsea invited Aurelia to take a look at the jewelry and even said she would give her a discount as if this store belonged to her.
Aurelia smiled and continued with her words.
"No need. I have one of each model. Actually, I can always get the first one. If you need them, I can lend you some for photographing."
Can't win me back
