Chapter 252 Matchmaking Old Classmates

There were still two days to go before it was time to move the grave.

In the meantime, Aurelia had some stuff to get ready.

Joe already lined up the workers.

Aurelia hadn't been to her mom's grave in four years and was really missing her. After dinner, she grabbed some flowers and took Cathy to the cemetery out in the burbs.

Brenda's grave was spotless, but there were some wilted flowers on it, showing someone had been there recently.

Then, Aurelia's eyes landed on the tombstone next to it, and her heart skipped a beat when she read the inscription.

[Aurelia Beloved Wife]

Nathaniel had made this tombstone for her, with her favorite white roses in front, now all dried up and dead.

Cathy cried for a bit at Brenda's grave and then noticed the inscription on the tombstone next to it. She snorted angrily, "Who did this? Aurelia, you are alive and kicking. Why's there a tombstone for you?"

Aurelia quickly changed the subject, saying, "Cathy, my grandma's grave is also here. I'll go check it out."

Cathy was pretty upset. She was superstitious and thought Aurelia's insomnia over the years was because of this empty grave.

'Who would erect a tombstone for the living?' Cathy thought. To her, it was almost like a curse.

She told Aurelia, "Tell Joe to get someone to tear down this tombstone ASAP."

Aurelia stopped her, "Grandma, since we're moving Mom's grave to Coral Bay, let's not worry about it now. We'll dig it up together then."

Aurelia was curious about what Nathaniel had put in the grave, but now wasn't the right time. Even though it was an empty grave, digging it up in broad daylight felt too disrespectful to the others resting in the cemetery.

After a lot of convincing, Cathy agreed to deal with the empty grave when they moved Brenda.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel was on the phone.

Chris said, "Nathaniel, I've beefed up your company's system defenses. This time, I've added multiple layers of security. Even if J tries to hack it, it'll be tough. Unless they have a serious grudge, they shouldn't go to such lengths to hack you. You can chill."

But Nathaniel wasn't too happy with that and asked, "Aren't you a computer whiz? It's been days, and you still haven't found the person?"

Chris sounded worn out as he explained, "Nathaniel, I've been busting my ass on this for you, and I haven't even had time for my wife. Let's leave it for now. When J shows up, I'll deal with him. Right now, I'm swamped with company stuff."

Nathaniel sighed, "Alright, then can you hook me up with a better hacker?"

Nathaniel added, "I mean someone better than you."

His words had a hint of shade for Chris.

Chris shot back, "No!"

Chris instantly felt like all the effort he put into the system over the past few days was for nothing. However, Nathaniel wasn't grateful at all. Not only he was worried about Nathaniel's company's important docs getting leaked, but also he still had to put up with Nathaniel's shade.

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow and softened his tone, "Then when you have time, make sure to catch J for me."

Chris snapped, "I won't have time this year."

As soon as he hung up, Zack called.

"Mr. Heilbronn, Mrs. Heilbronn is back in Imperick. Our people at the suburban cemetery saw her."

Nathaniel frowned. As soon as Caleb returned to Imperick, Aurelia was back too. If he'd known, he wouldn't have bothered. He worried Caleb might pester her while he wasn't around.

Thinking about it, he couldn't hold back anymore.

He found the contact information of the most popular girl from their former class and informed her of Caleb's return to Imperick.

After Caleb returned, their class had a reunion. Nathaniel couldn't make it 'cause he was swamped. Later, he heard from Oscar that the girl saw Caleb had slimmed down, his features had matured, and he was over six feet tall now. He'd turned into a total hottie, and she was all over him after the reunion.

Nathaniel was thinking about setting them up.

Two days later, it was time to move the grave.

Joe and the workers were already at the cemetery, waiting for nightfall.

Cathy insisted on going herself. Even if Brenda was just ashes, she was still her precious treasure. She'd missed her wedding, missed her giving birth, and hadn't seen her one last time. Thinking about it broke her heart.

At this crucial moment, she couldn't be absent again.

Aurelia brought Cathy over after dinner, waiting for the sun to set before moving grave.

At the security office, two guards saw the group's setup and guessed their intention. Four years ago, Nathaniel had given them extra cash to keep an eye on the cemetery, mainly to protect the graves of someone named Aurelia and Brenda.

Seeing that, the guards hurriedly called Zack to report, "Zack, someone is trying to dig up Ms. Semona's grave. Hurry over; they've brought a lot of people, and we might not be able to stop them."

Zack paused and said, "Let them dig."

Now that they knew Aurelia was alive, the grave would have to be dug up sooner or later. No point in having a grave for a living person.

The sun set, and it didn't take long for the sky to turn completely dark.

A group of workers started digging with shovels.

Cathy found the tombstone with 'Aurelia  Beloved Wife' particularly annoying and told the workers to dig up the empty grave first.

The workers, who were pros, quickly moved the soil aside, revealing a box inside.

Aurelia moved to the front, curious about what Nathaniel had put inside.

The workers didn't dare touch the items in the grave without her say-so.

Aurelia went in and took out the box. It was kinda heavy. She didn't open it in front of everyone but decided to take it home to check it out.

Meanwhile, Brenda's grave was also opened. The urn was chosen by Aurelia herself, and seeing it again brought her to tears.

After some work by Joe, they took Brenda's urn, and the three of them boarded a private plane.

Everything was set up in Coral Bay, and Joe had bought the best plot in the cemetery.

The plane landed near the cemetery he had purchased, and an assistant drove them there, where Brenda's ashes and belongings were buried that night.

After that, the three of them cried at the grave for a while. After a night of effort, they finally brought Brenda back to her homeland.

As dawn broke, Cathy, at her age, was exhausted after staying up all night.

Back in the car, Aurelia held her grandmother with one arm and opened the box from the grave with the other.

Seeing the contents, she burst into tears.

Can't win me back
