Chapter 408 Want to See You First

Today, Aurelia was unusually lucky and won five games in a row.

The other three people playing with her kept complaining.

Aurelia wouldn't really take their money, so after a few games, she returned all her winnings.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel and Reed got off the plane, quickly sent a message to Aurelia, and without even resting, Reed forced Nathaniel to go rescue Marcus.

They got Marcus's medical diagnosis, found some people, and after some twists and turns, managed to get Marcus out.

Marcus showed no change in expression when he came out, no relief or joy from being released, just an indifferent look.

Reed understood his son. This disinterested demeanor likely meant he was in despair, with no expectations from the world, making home and prison feel the same to him.

When a person lost their drive, living felt like being a walking corpse.

Reed said, "Marcus, don't go anywhere for the next few days. Take a break from work and relax with me here in Coral Bay."

Marcus nodded with a mechanical smile, devoid of any emotion.

Nathaniel scratched his brow and called Zack.

Zack had arrived a day earlier to set up the new house bought for Reed. Fortunately, the house was already well-decorated, so no major changes were needed.

They just needed to add some furniture and decorations.

Zack bought everything as instructed by his boss, directed the workers to install and clean up, and just as he was about to rest, his boss called, asking him to pick them up.

When Zack drove over and saw Marcus, he was momentarily stunned. The Heilbronn family's excellent genes were evident, even with a shaved head, Marcus still exuded an air of nobility.

Zack opened the car door, and Reed and Marcus sat in the back. Nathaniel, through the car window, said, "You go ahead. I have something to do, so I won't be joining you."

Reed waved his hand, signaling Zack to drive. He knew exactly what his grandson's "something" was—he was eager to see Aurelia.

Watching the car drive away, Nathaniel hailed a cab and simultaneously called Aurelia.

At that moment, Aurelia was playing cards with a group of employees. The losing side had to drink or truthfully answer questions.

Aurelia, being on her period, didn't dare to drink and had to choose to answer questions honestly.

To the young girls at the company, she was a mysterious figure.

"Anna, can we ask questions about your personal life?"

Before Aurelia could answer, others chimed in, "Yes!"

"Anna, Mr. Sinclair from Sinclair Media often comes around and even the jewelry mogul Mr. Nathaniel Heilbronn has treated us to dinner. Can you tell us who has a better chance?"

This question caused a small commotion.

Everyone had their own opinions and expressed them.

"I think Mr. Heilbronn is better. He's taller, more handsome, and in the same industry as us."

"I vote for Mr. Sinclair. His family has many celebrities, so we wouldn't have to spend money on advertising or endorsements. We'd get the best resources directly."

"That's not right. Mr. Heilbronn is so wealthy, he could easily pay for Anna's endorsements. I vote for Mr. Heilbronn. After all, he's the male god of our industry, and Anna is the female god. A perfect match."

"But I think Mr. Heilbronn is a bit cold, not as humorous as Mr. Sinclair. Mr. Sinclair seems easy to get along with; you wouldn't even need to find topics to talk about. He'd make you laugh. I vote for Mr. Sinclair."

Soon, the young girls formed two teams, neither willing to back down.

Aurora stood aside, watching the fun but saying nothing. She thought, 'You probably don't know that Anna's adorable twins' father is Mr. Heilbronn!'

If they knew this, they'd be shocked again.

Aurelia listened to the debate, having no chance to speak.

At this moment, her phone rang. She took it out of her bag, and the screen showed a name, Nathaniel.

A colleague close to her saw it clearly, and soon everyone quieted down.

Nathaniel's slightly tired voice came through the phone, "Where are you?"

"The company is having a team-building event, still playing games."

"Send me the address."

Aurelia hesitated and asked, "Haven't you gone home yet?"

"Got off the plane and was dragged to the police station by Grandpa. Just sent them off. I don't want to go home, wanting to see you first."

Aurelia's ears turned slightly red, "I'll send the address to you on Facebook."

"Okay."

Not long after the call ended, Nathaniel's cab arrived at the villa, and he sent a message to Aurelia: [I'm here.]

Aurelia packed her bag and said to everyone, "Keep playing, I have to go."

As soon as she stepped out, the curious crowd followed. At the door, they saw Nathaniel in casual attire standing under the streetlight, looking softer than usual.

The young girls whispered, "Who said Mr. Heilbronn is cold and unapproachable? This is clearly a gentle and affectionate CEO straight out of a TV drama. Look at the way he looks at Anna, you can almost see the love in his eyes."

"I surrender. Now I support Mr. Heilbronn. They're a perfect match!"

"Even tough guys have tender moments. I'm all in for this sweetness."

"So envious. Does God even give Anna any flaws? She's beautiful, capable, has adorable kids, and such an excellent suitor. It's a perfect life."

"Envy makes you twisted and drives you crazy!"

Seeing Nathaniel, Aurelia felt a bit sorry for him, "Are you tired?"

Nathaniel took her bag and held her hand with his other hand, "I was a bit tired just now, but not anymore."

He thought to himself, 'Seeing you makes me not tired.' But he felt it was too cheesy to say, so he changed his words.

Aurelia said, "Haven't eaten yet, right? Let's go, today I'll take you to experience Coral Bay's cuisine."

The place was not far from Aurelia's company. After crossing two blocks, there was a food street. Aurelia figured that someone like Nathaniel, who was used to five-star restaurant meals, had probably never been to such a place.

Today, she would take him to try something new and experience the life of ordinary people.

Aurelia held Nathaniel's hand, acting like a host entertaining a guest.

This reminded her of her time in Imperick when she preferred street food over formal meals.

Near her university, there was a food street with various delicious snacks she never got tired of during her four years there. Even after marrying into the Heilbronn family, she occasionally thought about it and would go back with Ulysses to visit the food street.

Back then, she had thought about when she could take him to try the food street, and he would discover a new world of cuisine.

But given his status, how could he accompany her to such a place?
