Chapter 175 You Protect your People, I Take my Revenge

Nathaniel walked up to Aurelia and asked, "Still not over your cold?" Then, he noticed her bandaged hands and frowned, "What happened to your hands?"

Aurelia didn't want to talk to him. She blamed his dream lover for all her troubles. If he had stopped Chelsea's fantasies, things wouldn't have gotten so bad.

Ulysses stepped in front of Aurelia, facing Nathaniel. "How dare you ask? Go ask your lover what she's been up to."

Nathaniel frowned. He had Chelsea locked up, and Ulysses's questioning had no base.

"I wasn't talking to you. Aurelia, come out!" Nathaniel spoke up, trying to assert control.

Aurelia hesitated but stepped out from behind Ulysses. "Nathaniel, let's get the divorce now. You can speed it up, right? I can't take this anymore. Please!" she sounded exhausted, desperate to be free.

Nathaniel's eyes hardened. "I'm asking about your hands. Explain."

Aurelia, in pain, reluctantly said, "Chelsea destroyed my mom's grave. Do you have a problem with me dealing with it?"

Nathaniel felt a heavy weight on his chest. He needed to confirm this. He called the housekeeper assigned to Chelsea and asked, "Has Miss Thompson been out recently?"

On the other end, the housekeeper dropped her cup. She had watched Nathaniel grow up and knew his cold and ruthless nature. If he found out she hadn't been diligent in her duties and that Chelsea had been out all day yesterday, she would definitely be fired.

She figured that since Chelsea hadn't caused any trouble, a little lie wouldn't hurt. "Mr. Heilbronn, Miss Thompson hasn't left the house."

"Did she get any strange calls?" Nathaniel asked again.

"No, she didn't," the housekeeper replied.

After hanging up, Nathaniel looked displeased, "Aurelia, you need evidence to back you up. You can't just make empty accusations."

Aurelia, expecting this, stayed calm. She knew he often sided with Chelsea. "Nathaniel, you can protect her. I'll handle my own business. If anyone who gets in my way, I'll deal with them too."

Her tone was calm but determined.

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow, showing disdain. A phone call cut off their conversation. Aurelia went back to her ward to answer. It was Timothy calling.

"Aurelia, I went to the cemetery this morning. Your mom's grave has been repaired, and there's a new headstone."

Aurelia was surprised, "Isn't it you who arranged this?"

"No. It was already done when I got there. The caretaker said a man in his thirties came with flowers, saw the grave desecrated, got so angry, replaced the security guards, and got someone to restore the surveillance. Not sure if it's fixed properly."

Aurelia wondered who it could be.

"I found some skilled friends. Should they come now?" Timothy asked.

Aurelia refocused, "Have them come. I need hands."

Timothy paused, "Aurelia, be careful. Don't make more trouble."

After hanging up, Ulysses arrived with the caregiver.

Aurelia, feeling drained, leaned back on the hospital bed. "Ulysses, I'll be discharged tomorrow. I'm not that fragile."

Ulysses sat down nearby. "Enough talk. Take care of those hands, and I want to see you slap Nathaniel."

Aurelia chuckled. "I don't need hands to slap him!"

She hadn't slept all night, her mind racing, and she was exhausted and worried about her unborn twins.

"Ulysses, I need to rest for a bit," she said.

Ulysses nodded. "Rest up. I won't bother you. Call me if you need anything. The caregiver will be here for you. And remember, keep those hands dry."

After giving his instructions, Ulysses left, leaving the ward quiet. Aurelia's mind was still buzzing, but she forced herself to close her eyes and rest, gearing up for the challenges ahead.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel left Reed's ward and went to the nurse's station in Aurelia's section. "Who's the attending physician for Room 1206?" he asked.

The young nurse hesitated, not used to seeing such a handsome visitor. She couldn't help but steal a few glances but maintained her professionalism. "Sir, we can't disclose patient information."

Nathaniel sighed and showed her a photo on his phone. "See this? I'm her husband. Can you tell me now?"

The nurse was stunned. Seeing the name 'Nathaniel' on the ID and recognizing him as the CEO of Heilbronn Group, she realized the pregnant woman in Room 1206 was his wife.

Suppressing her curiosity, she said, "Your wife's attending physician is Dr. Perez."

Nathaniel thanked her and went to find Dr. Perez. The nurse, still in shock, excitedly told her colleague, "That was Nathaniel, the CEO of Heilbronn Group! He's been in the headlines with his wife. It turns out they are having a baby. How sweet!"

The other nurse exclaimed, "If this gets online, we'll get so many followers!" They exchanged excited smiles, thrilled by the gossip.

Nathaniel, with Zack, arrived at the outpatient building. As they reached the entrance, two ambulances pulled up, and a doctor in charge shouted, "Make way! All medical staff, assist immediately."

The hospital lobby became chaotic as doctors and nurses rushed to help with casualties from a nearby gas explosion. All available doctors were called in.

Zack went to Dr. Perez's office but found it empty. He returned to report, "Mr. Heilbronn, Dr. Perez is at the consultation. Should we wait?"

Nathaniel checked the time. He had another appointment soon and was running out of time. "Next time," he decided.

Aurelia woke up until noon, feeling even more congested. She begged the doctor for a nutrient drip and insisted on being discharged the next day. Aurelia couldn't let those wicked people get away with their actions, as she was determined to make them pay.

She checked her phone and saw several missed calls, one from Timothy. She called him back, and he said, "Aurelia, the people I arranged are at the hospital. If you're ready, you can call them in."

Aurelia glanced at the time. She had slept the entire morning.

As the caregiver brought in her meal, she had no appetite. "Please bring in the people waiting outside."

Within a minute, several burly men entered the room.
