Chapter 444 You know Phoenix?

When Nathaniel pinned Aurelia to the bed, her mind was still in a daze. Weren't they discussing how to kneel? How did it turn into making love again?

He was too rough last night, and her legs were still sore.

Aurelia had just climaxed once and as she started to recover, she endured his every thrust, crying out in protest.

"Nathaniel, have some mercy!"

Sweat dripped from Nathaniel's forehead down to his chin, his voice hoarse beyond belief.

"Aurelia, just bear with me a little longer..."

Aurelia didn't know what he meant by "a little longer," but by the end, she felt completely drained and her legs were weak.

Who said this kind of thing tired out the man?

Clearly, it was the woman who got exhausted.

Afterwards, they lay flat on the bed for a while before he got up to take her to the shower.

Aurelia felt like she had died once, her whole body felt like it had been fished out of water. She couldn't tell if it was her sweat or his, but their scents had mingled together.

Nathaniel carried her to the shower, and Aurelia wrapped her legs around his waist, unwilling to stand. So he held her while they showered.

Aurelia's whole body was soft now, and her voice was soft too. She looked at herself in the mirror in front of the shower.

"Nathaniel, do you see any part of my skin that's not marked?"

It was all covered in his bite marks.

And he wasn't much better off, his back covered in her nail marks.

Nathaniel pressed his forehead against hers.

"What do we do, Aurelia? I can't get enough of you..."

Aurelia clung to him like a koala.

This position easily led to suggestive thoughts, and Nathaniel was indeed thinking along those lines.

He held her with both hands, his eyes never leaving her radiant, water-drenched face. The steam made her skin look enticingly pink.

Aurelia tilted her head slightly, the water from the showerhead running from her head to her chin, finally disappearing into her ample bosom.

Nathaniel was no saint, and he never had any resistance to her, especially not now.

His throat moved as he swallowed, his grip on her loosening slightly. The next second, Aurelia let out a sudden whimper.

It was too sudden; she was completely unprepared.

Aurelia slapped his shoulder a few times, almost crying.

They didn't come out until over an hour later.

This time, Aurelia changed into a full set of clothes and curled up as far away from him as possible.

She felt like she had fallen into a trap.

Nathaniel was always ready to pounce.

Nathaniel changed into loungewear, sitting on the edge of the bed with a smirk.

"Aurelia, this time was really an accident, believe me. I didn't plan to touch you tonight. I genuinely wanted to feed you some durian..."

"Get lost!"

"Aurelia, you can't entirely blame me for the second time. You were clinging to me and rubbing against me. You brought it on yourself."

Aurelia held her head, wanting to scream if her throat wasn't so hoarse.

"Enough, stop talking. There won't be a next time."

Nathaniel, in a panic, grabbed the durian shell.

"How about I kneel on this?"

Aurelia ignored him. If he wanted to kneel, let him kneel.

Two more condoms were used up.

Aurelia sat for a while, then struggled to get up, "I'm going home!"

Nathaniel quickly got up from the durian shell and chased after her.

"Do you even have the strength to go home? How about staying the night?"

Aurelia rolled her eyes at him. "I'll crawl home if I have to!"

Staying here, she didn't know if she'd survive until tomorrow.

Aurelia was determined, so Nathaniel gave in, changed clothes, and drove her home.

The next day, Aurelia took care of her tasks and went home to have dinner with her family.

She had been busy lately, and with Nathaniel constantly tempting her, it had been a while since she had dinner at home.

Joe had a social engagement, and her uncle and aunt were traveling, so it was just Cathy and a few kids at the dinner table.

When Cathy was almost done eating, Aurelia finally spoke, "Grandma, I'm going to Imperick tomorrow. There are some things I need to investigate."

She handed Cathy the paternity test results and continued, "Norman and I are not father and daughter. As for who my biological father is and what happened, I need to ask Norman."

Cathy wiped her hands with a napkin, then quickly took the document Aurelia handed her and carefully read the results.

"We definitely need to find Norman! My daughter would rather not come back home and stay with that poor guy. She wouldn't do anything bad; there must be more to this story."

Cathy and Aurelia were on the same page.

"So, Grandma, I need to get to the bottom of this. Although it's just a suspicion, I think my mom might have been deceived by Norman more than once."

Aurelia's suspicions were disheartening, but she knew Norman's character. He was the kind of person who wouldn't even care about his own mother, let alone a woman.

All he cared about was money; he had no sense of humanity.

Cathy supported her, "Go ahead. If you need any help, ask your brother. He has a wide network and can even hire a private investigator."

"I'll confront Norman first. It's not easy to investigate something that happened so many years ago, and besides, he's currently locked up, so it's not convenient to talk."

"Go ahead. I support you."

Aurelia arranged everything, and the next day, she boarded a plane with Nathaniel.

Aurora had booked business class for them. After they settled in, they waited for the plane to take off.

In the last few minutes before the plane doors closed, a person wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a mask boarded and sat in the same row on the right.

Aurelia didn't notice at first, but the person took off the mask and greeted her, "Ms. Semona, what a coincidence, running into you on a plane."

When the person took off the sunglasses, Aurelia recognized him. Wasn't this the male celebrity Phoenix, whom she had dinner with a few days ago?

"What a coincidence. Are you going to Imperick too?"

Phoenix sat down and fastened his seatbelt.

"My family is in Imperick. We're having a birthday party for my grandma tomorrow, so I took two days off to go back."

He then took out a bottle of gum from his pocket and offered it, "Want one?"

Aurelia politely declined, "No, thank you."

It took Phoenix a moment to recognize the person sitting next to Aurelia. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Nathaniel, what are you doing here?"

Nathaniel, sitting between them, had been listening to their conversation and was already annoyed with this guy, "Can't I sit here?"

Phoenix burst out laughing, showing a row of neat teeth.

"No, it's just that you seem upset. I was only a minute late in seeing you, and you didn't greet me either!"

Phoenix's gaze fell on Nathaniel holding Aurelia's hand, and he was momentarily stunned. He had heard many rumors about Nathaniel's marriage from his family. When Nathaniel got divorced, Phoenix had just returned from abroad and was skeptical about the adults' gossip.

Recently, he saw Aurelia's interview, and her identity was also revealed online.

Phoenix knew about Aurelia and Nathaniel's relationship but didn't expect them to be back together.

Aurelia quietly asked Nathaniel, "You know Phoenix?"

Nathaniel just gave a soft "hmm" without elaborating.

The Sawyer family and the Heilbronn family had business dealings early on and were familiar with each other in the same circle.

Phoenix had been physically weak as a child. Despite his height, he was often bullied by other kids. Somehow, he found a good protector and would call for Nathaniel whenever he was in trouble.

When he was bullied, he called for Nathaniel. When his dad beat him, he called for Nathaniel. Nathaniel had looked forward to going abroad for graduate school to get rid of Phoenix, but the next year, Phoenix followed him and still relied on him.

"Nathaniel, what are you doing in Coral Bay?"

Phoenix started chatting with Nathaniel, who wanted to pretend to sleep, but Phoenix didn't give him the chance.

"Business transfer."

Phoenix responded with an "oh" and then asked, "Ms. Semona is in the same industry as you in Coral Bay. Isn't there competition between you two?"

Nathaniel thought, 'None of your business!'

Seeing that Nathaniel was ignoring him, Phoenix turned his head to talk to Aurelia, "Ms. Semona, may I invite you to my family's birthday party for my grandma tomorrow?"

Aurelia finally figured it out. She guessed that Phoenix was from the Sawyer family, a prominent family in Imperick known for their automotive business.

She vaguely remembered being taken by Beatrice to play poker with his grandma. She was a fashionable elderly lady who loved lively events and had no generation gap when chatting with younger people.
