Chapter 464 I'm Here to Deliver Tickets

Nathaniel closed the book, set it aside, and called out to her, "Come on up!"

Aurelia inexplicably felt that their way of interacting was a bit like a couple who had been married for a long time. Habit was a scary thing.

She had gotten used to being held by him while sleeping these past few days. She admitted that sometimes, sleeping alone could indeed be a bit lonely, and she slept more soundly nestled in his arms.

Aurelia lifted her leg and got onto the bed, lying down gently on one side. "Nathaniel, I'm tired today."

Her hint was quite obvious.

Nathaniel chuckled softly, "Come here, I won't do anything."

Aurelia gave him a suspicious look, and Nathaniel assured her, "Really, I won't do anything. Come here, just to sleep."

For once, Nathaniel's words on the bed were trustworthy. He really didn't do anything, just held her to sleep. This was the most comfortable sleep Aurelia had had recently.

No one bothered her, being held by him, warm and secure.

Both of them slept well that night. Nathaniel hadn't had insomnia for a while, and she was more effective than any medicine.

Nathaniel went downstairs to make breakfast at Reed's place. After the three of them finished eating, Aurelia took the initiative to clean up the kitchen but was chased out by Reed.

"The kitchen smoke is bad for your skin. You two tidy up and go to work. I'll wash these dishes since I'm the idle one."

Nathaniel hooked his pinky finger with Aurelia's. "Let's go, time for work."

The company was close by, and it only took them about ten minutes to walk there, which was Nathaniel accommodating Aurelia's pace.

If it were just him, it would take less than ten minutes.

"Aurelia, I'll take you to see Rosalind after work tonight."

"Then I'll try to arrange my work for the morning and leave early in the evening to avoid the traffic."

"Alright."

Their companies were separated by a street, and they parted ways downstairs, each heading up to their respective offices.

When Aurelia got out of the elevator and arrived at her company, she found it bustling with activity. A group of employees was gathered together, chattering about something. Usually, at this time, they would be at their desks having breakfast and chatting.

She walked closer and asked, "What's all the excitement about?"

The crowd turned at the sound of her voice, and upon seeing Aurelia, they parted slightly, revealing a half-hidden face in the middle of a group of women, who waved at her.

"Ms. Semona, good morning!"

Aurelia's eyes flashed with a bit of surprise. "What are you doing here?"

Phoenix quickly finished signing two more autographs.

"Didn't I say last time that I wanted to visit your company? I happened to have some free time this morning, so I came over. Have you eaten?"

Phoenix stood up from the crowd, towering over everyone else. "I brought you something to eat."

He pulled out a bag containing roasted corn.

Online, his fans knew that Phoenix had a particular fondness for roasted corn. If he had the chance, he would eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The employees of Karma Jewelry, seeing their idol bringing roasted corn for their boss, looked on enviously.

"Wow! I can't imagine how happy I would be if I got to eat that roasted corn from my idol."

"Phoenix! Are you this nice to every partner?"

"Phoenix, the autographs aren't finished yet..."

Aurora emerged from the crowd. "Anna, I remember you love roasted corn too. You used to always ask me to buy it. What a coincidence."

Phoenix's smile deepened. He wasn't this considerate to every partner, let alone bringing breakfast. Before coming, he had browsed Aurelia's Instagram countless times. Roasted corn appeared frequently on her feed, and since he also loved it, he bought some to bring over.

Hearing the assistant say she loved it made him happy. He had guessed right.

Aurelia replied from the crowd, "I've already had breakfast."

Phoenix still handed her the roasted corn, "Then save it for later when you get hungry."

Aurelia was momentarily stunned. Seeing Phoenix's face, she thought of Dominic. They looked somewhat alike, with pale skin, high nose bridges, and perfect smile lines.

For a moment, Aurelia thought about her own similar lip shape and was startled by her thoughts. She looked again at the young man in front of her. His eyes were typically narrow and double-lidded, unlike hers.

No one knew, but in those few seconds of daze, Aurelia had thought of so many things.

"Ms. Semona?" Phoenix called out again, snapping Aurelia back to reality.

"Phoenix, come to my office. If you want to sign autographs, do it there. Don't disrupt my employees' work."

"Yes!" Phoenix responded cheerfully. His voice was pleasant, and his response was strong and commanding, making the fans in the work area excited again.

Phoenix followed Aurelia into her office, while the young women outside craned their necks to look in.

Aurelia shook her head helplessly. These girls were so starstruck they couldn't focus on work. She closed the office door, cutting off their view.

Phoenix pulled a chair to sit opposite Aurelia, resting his chin on the table and watching her work intently.

"Aurelia, has anyone ever persuaded you to enter the entertainment industry?"

Aurelia replied to a few work emails, too busy to answer his question.

Phoenix persisted, "With your looks, you'd definitely be a big star in the entertainment industry."

Aurelia paused her work and glanced over. Phoenix scratched his head and looked away. He couldn't handle her looking at him like that.

"Are you here to visit the company or to watch me work?"

Phoenix shamelessly pulled a pen from the holder on the desk, "Aurelia, I'm here to give out tickets."

He held a stack of movie tickets, signing each one and pushing the first signed ticket towards Aurelia.

"My movie premieres tomorrow night. Can I invite your colleagues to come?"

Phoenix had done his homework. He heard that Aurelia was always aloof at work, so he wasn't confident he could invite her alone. So he decided to invite the whole company.

He had prepared a signed movie ticket for everyone at Karma Jewelry.

Of course, the ticket for Aurelia had the best seat.

Aurelia wasn't an unkind boss. She knew how much the young women outside adored Phoenix. Refusing such a big favor would dampen everyone's spirits.

On the contrary, accepting this favor would make everyone happier than giving them an extra week's salary. After all, not everyone had the chance to get close to their idol.

Aurelia carefully put away the stack of tickets Phoenix brought, "Thank you on their behalf."

Phoenix's eyes were fixed on the ticket he had given Aurelia, which she placed at the bottom. He couldn't help but speak up, "Aurelia, the one at the bottom is for you. Don't mix it up."
