Chapter 437 It Really Seems to Be Her

Phoenix waved his hand. "Demetrius, it's not like that."

"Still pretending? I can tell what you're thinking just by looking at you. That's the client, get your head straight."

"Demetrius, what nonsense are you spouting? I just feel like I've seen this lady before."

The manager handed him a few more tissues.

"Alright, stop pretending in front of me. Clean yourself up. You need to always be mindful of your image. You're a star, act like one. Don't think you can just mess around because you're handsome."

Phoenix wiped his face and stared at the mirror for a long time, muttering to himself, "It really seems like it's her."

When he came out of the restroom, his previous lazy demeanor was completely gone.

Phoenix sat back in his original seat.

"Ms. Semona, would you mind adding me on Facebook? If I have any questions in the future, I can ask you directly and won't have to bother Mr. Sinclair."

"Sure." Aurelia took out her phone and opened her QR code for him to scan. Soon, she received a new friend notification. Aurelia accepted, and they became friends.

Aurora watched with jealousy, her eyes constantly darting over, trying to see what Phoenix's Facebook name was and what profile picture he used.

Phoenix updated the contact note and curiously checked out the posts of this beautiful boss. All he found were professional information and some news related to the design industry, with no signs of personal life.

It was clearly a work account. He raised an eyebrow, feeling a bit disappointed.

The meal was almost over, and the conversation had wrapped up. Caleb handed over two contracts, one to Phoenix and one to Aurelia.

"Please review the contract details carefully. If everything looks good, go ahead and sign."

Aurelia carefully read through the terms, while Phoenix flipped straight to the last page and signed.

At this stage of the dinner, it was usually time to wrap things up. Aurora was still eagerly watching, wanting her idol's autograph but too afraid to ask, feeling anxious and signaling to Aurelia with her eyes.

"Phoenix, my assistant is a fan of yours. Could you give her an autograph?"

Aurora's eyes lit up, thinking, Anna finally remembered her. She was about to dig into her bag for paper and a pen when Phoenix signaled to his manager.

"Demetrius, don't you have one of my signed photos?"

Aurora's heart was racing. An autographed photo personally given by her idol—she could brag about this for a lifetime.

"Thank you! You're welcome to visit us at Karma Jewelry anytime. All our colleagues are your true fans!"

Aurora was thrilled to receive the photo, completely forgetting all the reminders Aurelia had given her on the way.

She didn't expect a star of Phoenix's caliber to be so down-to-earth, speaking without any sense of distance.

Phoenix glanced at Aurelia. "If I get the chance, I'll definitely visit. I just hope it won't disrupt your work."

"No, they'd go crazy seeing you!"

Aurora's mind was like a battlefield, one side urging her to control her excitement, the other side reminding her that she was talking to her idol!

After the dinner, the group split into three.

Aurelia drove with Aurora, wondering who the real boss was, having to drive her assistant around.

"Keep your stuff safe and don't show it off at the office, got it? If it gets stolen, don't come crying to me."

Aurora was still calming herself down, staring at the photo, feeling like she was dreaming. Did she really just get an autographed photo from her idol so easily?

"Anna, how can he be even more handsome in person than on TV? I'm going to be his fan until I'm eighty! Why didn't I take a photo with him just now? He was so approachable, he wouldn't have refused if I asked."

Aurelia drove, listening to Aurora's rambling.

"Snap out of it. Tell me your address so I can drop you off."

"Anna, no need to trouble yourself. Just drop me off at the subway station ahead. He's so handsome."

Aurora was in a daze, her eyes glued to the photo. As they neared the subway station, she said, "Anna, I noticed Phoenix looks a bit like you. The nose, the mouth shape, even the way he smiles."

Aurora seemed to have discovered a big secret, getting more excited as she spoke.

"Anna, really! I was wondering why you both look so good. Turns out good-looking people are all alike, while ugly people each have their own unique flaws. Compared to you two, I'm so ugly!"

Aurelia stopped the car, and Aurora was still muttering to herself.

"Alright, it's getting late. Go home. Text me when you get there."

Aurora gave an OK sign, jumped out of the car, and blended into the crowd.

On the other side, Phoenix was lounging in the van, staring out the window, seemingly deep in thought.

The manager was nagging again.

"You've really outdone yourself. This isn't our first endorsement deal, and this time it's for a no-name brand. Yet you went and asked for the beautiful boss's contact info. Didn't you see how serious Mr. Sinclair's face was?"

Hearing 'Mr. Sinclair,' Phoenix turned around.

"Demetrius, what do you mean by that?"

"Are you dense? How much did Mr. Sinclair sign you for, and how much did Ms. Semona sign you for? The amounts on the two contracts are different. He's losing money on this deal, didn't you notice? He's a businessman. Why would he make a losing deal? What's he after?"

At this point, if Phoenix still didn't get it, he'd be a hopeless fool.

"Are you saying Mr. Sinclair likes Ms. Semona?"

The manager sighed lightly.

"You're not completely dumb after all. Finally figured it out. Anyway, don't contact Ms. Semona privately, got it? Or the boss might blacklist you."

Phoenix was only surprised for a few seconds before returning to his nonchalant demeanor.

Aurelia sneezed twice, and then her phone on the center console rang. She pressed the hands-free button.

"Aurelia, are you done?"

Nathaniel hadn't finished work yet. He stood by the window, looking at the darkened building across the street, guessing she should be done by now. If it weren't for business, he would have gone over already.

Thinking about her having dinner with Caleb made him uncomfortable.

Aurelia replied, "Yes, I'm done. Just heading back now."

"I'm at the office. Do you want to come over? You haven't seen my office yet."

Aurelia slowed down, remembering she had informed her family in the afternoon that she wouldn't be home early tonight and asked the nanny to put Dorothy to bed without waiting for her.

"Alright, I'll be there soon."
