Chapter 160 Are You That Desperate for a Man?
Nathaniel instinctively reached for a cigarette in his pocket but came up empty.
He had no clue she was already on the lookout for someone new, even chatting and flirting on Facebook.
She was still a Heilbronn, yet here she was, openly chatting with other guys right in front of him.
"Seriously, are you that desperate for men?" he asked.
Aurelia knew he was being sarcastic. Nathaniel, with his controlling nature, usually hated her talking to other men. Seeing that text must have made him furious, but he was holding back because they were in a hospital. If it was anywhere else, she figured he might have hurt her.
Seeing his anger, Aurelia felt a twisted sense of satisfaction, realizing she didn't have to obey him anymore.
"Yeah, I do," she shot back.
Right in front of him, Aurelia opened the chat and typed, "I can accept your conditions."
Before she could click send, Nathaniel grabbed her arm and dragged her outside with all his strength. His anger was palpable, almost boiling over.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!" Aurelia yelled.
Ignoring her words, Nathaniel shoved her into the car, forcing her into the back seat. Then he pinned her down, kissing her collarbone crazily.
This is insane!
Aurelia struggled with all her might, but she was no match for a nearly six-foot-tall man in a rage.
Pinning her hands above her head, Nathaniel loosened his tie and unbuttoned his shirt.
"If you want a man, I'll serve you today," he growled.
Feeling helpless, Aurelia couldn't believe this was happening in a hospital. She regretted provoking him.
"Nathaniel, have you had enough?" She tried to reason.
Women might seek intimacy for love, if not, she wasn't interested in it, especially being pregnant. Even without the baby, she wouldn't want to be intimate with him, given their impending divorce.
Nathaniel's eyes narrowed. "Had enough with me but not with that Gary?" he sneered.
In her panic, Aurelia saw the partition in the car rising and said, "Let go of me. Zack is still here."
Nathaniel ignored her plea, tying her wrists together with his loosened tie.
"He won't be that stupid," he said.
Men can look polished outside but turn into beasts behind closed doors.
Zack, pretending to sleep in the driver's seat, couldn't keep up the act. He was resting and hadn't actually fallen asleep. He never expected Nathaniel to come back with his wife and even getting intimate in the car.
'I wouldn't be here if I knew.'
Summoning his courage, Zack decided to risk his job, pushed open the driver's door, and bolted.
Now, it was just the two of them in the car.
Nathaniel, feeling no remorse, roughly tore at her clothes, his hands roaming over her body.
Aurelia, tears streaming down her face, felt a mix of shame, anger, helplessness, and fear. She wanted to escape from this monster and never see him again.
"Nathaniel, this is rape. I can go to the police and report you!" she sobbed.
Nathaniel buried his face in her chest, ignoring her words and chuckling sarcastically.
"Go ahead. Report me," he said.
Seeing her frightened face, Nathaniel lost interest and aimlessly roamed her body.
"You've gained weight," he remarked, noticing her slight belly and larger breasts.
Aurelia gasped for air, still in shock, not caring about his comments. She just wanted to get dressed and leave.
But her hands were still bound, making her feel like a helpless fish at the mercy of a predator.
Just then, a call interrupted them, and they both looked towards the phone.
Nathaniel saw the caller ID showing "Reed" and answered on speakerphone, "Grandpa, Aurelia is with me."
Reed, still angry and unforgiving, snapped, "Give the phone to Aurelia. Why are you answering?"
Nathaniel's eyelid twitched. "She can hear you."
Aurelia managed to say, "Mr. Reed Heilbronn." But Reed sensed something was wrong. "Aurelia, are you crying? Tell me what happened; I'll deal with that bastard."
Aurelia sniffed, and Reed immediately shouted into the phone, "Nathaniel, what did you do to Aurelia?" Nathaniel rubbed his forehead, feeling that her sniffle had been deliberate.
When someone cries, their nose doesn't listen to them. Aurelia couldn't help but sniff again, her voice nasal as she said, "Mr. Reed Heilbronn, I'm fine. I'll be back soon."
Reed couldn't wait. "Nathaniel, come over in three minutes." After hanging up, Nathaniel calmly untied her. They both straightened up in the car, and Zack sat on a nearby rock, looking like a guard from a TV drama.
As they passed Zack, Nathaniel instructed, "Clean up the car."
Aurelia felt embarrassed. They hadn't done anything, yet his words made it seem like he was asking his assistant to clean up the aftermath of a battle.
Zack nodded, thinking, 'Nathaniel seems a bit off. It's only been about fifteen minutes.'
In the hospital room, Reed, supported by Ted, leaned back, refusing to eat and wearing a stern expression. According to Ted, when he came up and saw Aurelia and her unreliable father in the lobby, he called to check on her. To his surprise, when Reed had his nap, that scoundrel had bullied Aurelia again.
He hadn't even had a chance to deal with that scoundrel yet!
Aurelia and Nathaniel walked to the door of the ward, hearing Ted kindly urging, "Reed, please have some food; it's getting cold."
"Ted, leave it to." Aurelia came in, took the bowl from Ted, and sat by the bed, preparing to feed Reed.
Reed was still angry and silent, seemingly brewing a storm. His eyes fell on Aurelia's arms, where two distinct red marks were visible.
"Aurelia, if something is wrong, tell me. I'll take care of that scoundrel," Reed offered.
Aurelia didn't dare upset Reed at this moment; his body had just undergone a storm.
"Mr. Reed Heilbronn, you're so supportive of me. I have nothing to complain about," she assured.
Reed glanced at Nathaniel, questioning, "The red marks on Aurelia's arm is your doing?"
Nathaniel remained silent, recalling that he hadn't used much force. Maybe her skin was just too delicate. He thought to himself but didn't dare say it.
At this moment, she found a good source of support.
