Chapter 414 Office Flirting

"Mr. Heilbronn, should we get going? If we sit any longer, I'm afraid you won't be able to take it."

Aurelia teased him, deliberately placing her hand close to his firm chest. What he couldn't take was naturally left unsaid.

Nathaniel's Adam's apple bobbed, his eyelids twitched incessantly, and his gaze fell on that hand, his mind filled with images from the bathroom yesterday.

Undoubtedly, he was somewhat addicted.

"Aurelia..." He took that mischievous hand and kissed it, then placed it on his abs, guiding her hand down along the muscle lines.

Aurelia's fingers curled slightly, his body heat scorching her, making her heart race.

At this moment, it was impossible not to think impure thoughts.

Aurelia's mind was filled with scenes from office play comics she had seen before.

Just then, a crisp knock on the door brought them back to reality. Aurelia quickly withdrew her hand, tidied her hair, and prepared to get off him.

But it was too late; Aurora had already pushed the door open.

The scene was entirely awkward.

Aurora froze for a few seconds. After all, she was an inexperienced young girl, her face turning red.

It took her a while to react, and she repeatedly apologized, "I'm sorry, Mr. Heilbronn, I came to bring you coffee."

Aurora didn't dare to look at the sofa again, staring at her toes, unsure what to do with the coffee in her hand, feeling awkward and helpless.

She had a good relationship with Aurelia. Usually, when she came to the office, Aurelia was too busy with her designs to pay attention to her, so she would just push the door open, put things down, and close the door on her way out.

This work habit had become routine, and she had forgotten that Nathaniel was in the office and should be avoided. Now she felt stuck, as if she were the one doing something wrong.

If she had known, she would never have come to deliver this coffee, breaking up the boss and her boyfriend's flirting. It was simply mortifying.

By now, Aurelia had gotten off Nathaniel's lap, feeling extremely embarrassed. She knew her little assistant was pure-hearted, and seeing such an intimate scene, she didn't know what Aurora would think of her.

Men often didn't think much of such things, but women understood each other's little thoughts. In any case, it was very awkward.

Nathaniel, having seen the world, cleared his throat and said to Aurora, "Give me the coffee, please."

Aurora finally dared to look up slightly, took small steps forward, handed the coffee to Nathaniel, and quickly ran out.

After leaving, she realized she had forgotten to close the door, so she returned to close it, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

The office was once again just the two of them.

Aurelia tidied up the documents on the desk, grumbling, "It's all your fault. I don't know what my employee will think of me now, openly flirting with a man in the office in broad daylight."

Nathaniel took a sip from the coffee cup, realizing it wasn't an ordinary cup.

His memory flashed back to five years ago when they had a set of identical cups at home, a couple's set.

Aurelia had bought them at a high price from a brand store and had proudly shown them off to him during dinner.

"Look at the cups I bought! Limited edition. I had to pull some strings to get them. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be using such good cups."

Nathaniel knew she was proud because it was the only limited edition set the brand had ever released. And that brand's designer had been praised by Aurelia countless times.

Aurelia, being a designer, had a unique taste. Ordinary designs couldn't win her approval. For her to repeatedly praise someone's design meant it matched her taste and was highly regarded by her.

At the time, Nathaniel was dealing with some tricky work issues and had casually replied, "It's okay, it's just a cup for coffee. Any cup will do."

As a result, Aurelia didn't speak to him for the rest of the night, giving him the cold shoulder and even locking the master bedroom door, making him sleep in the study.

Back to the present, Nathaniel looked at the cup in his hand and then at the one on the desk, perfectly matching.

Nathaniel felt quite pleased, and his impression of the young girl who brought the coffee improved.

"Aurelia, so you bought this set of cups again and kept one for me."

Aurelia finished tidying up the desk and looked over at him. Nathaniel, as if nothing had happened, leisurely leaned against the sofa, sipping his coffee.

It seemed she was the only one feeling awkward. "Nathaniel, I'm talking to you. When will you ever listen to me seriously?"

Just now, whatever she said, he would respond with a single word, not really listening to her. She had been talking to herself the whole time.

Nathaniel answered seriously, "I'm listening. Which part of what you said did I miss?"

"What did I just say and what did I say earlier?"

Nathaniel placed the cup on the coffee table in front of him.

He repeated everything Aurelia had said, even mimicking her tone.

It proved he had indeed been listening, though he had been thinking about other things at the same time.

One had to admit, he had pulled it off again.

Aurelia couldn't help but want to remind him, in case he got too proud, "That cup is for guests. Whoever comes can use it."

She knew he had a cleanliness obsession, especially with personal items. He couldn't stand sharing things like cups with others.

Aurelia thought he would lose his temper, but Nathaniel's expression didn't change. Instead, he asked her, "Oh, so you keep a pair of couple's cups in the office, one for yourself and the other for entertaining other men?"

Who would believe such a thing?

Aurelia felt she had lost the upper hand again, "Alright, let's not talk about it. If we wait any longer, traffic will get worse. Let's go pick up the kids and visit Grandpa."

Nathaniel stood up from the sofa, draped his coat over his arm, and also grabbed her bag. Aurelia was already at the door.

Just before leaving, she said, "Wait."

Aurelia noticed he had lipstick on his lips. Going out like this would undoubtedly be awkward again. She, wearing high heels, reached up to wipe his lips. The angle wasn't difficult.

But as her fingers brushed his soft lips a second time, Nathaniel inadvertently licked his lips, his tongue grazing her fingers for just a fraction of a second.

Aurelia froze, a tingling sensation spreading from her fingertips throughout her body.

He was definitely doing it on purpose.

Nathaniel saw her stunned expression and smiled mischievously, "Didn't you say we were picking up the kids? Let's go."

He bent down to take the nutritional supplements she had bought for Reed and opened the door.

Can't win me back
