Chapter 172 Absolutely Disgusting

Zack drove back to Bloom Villa and parked outside Nathaniel's place.

Nathaniel glanced out and said coldly, "Take me to Villa 17."

Zack didn't get why Nathaniel wanted to go there, but he knew better than to ask when Nathaniel was in a mood.

Nathaniel got out and rang the doorbell a few times. Chelsea, in casual clothes and a maternity vest, answered.

"Nathaniel." Chelsea, knowing she was in the wrong, teared up, playing the victim.

Nathaniel's sharp look made her lower her head. He walked in, checking out the place, which looked just like his and Aurelia's. Chelsea had asked him for money to buy a house, and he didn't expect her to buy one in Bloom Villa. Now he had a clue why Aurelia had moved out right after their cruise.

Reed was right; it was one thing not to appreciate Aurelia, but this was too much.

Nathaniel held back his anger. "Sell the house and leave Bloom Villa!"

Chelsea started crying, "Nathaniel, I just moved here. I thought it would be easier for you to visit the kid. I had no other intentions. Please believe me."

Nathaniel narrowed his eyes. "If you go to my grandfather again, we won't meet. I'll send you to Africa."

Chelsea turned pale. She knew he meant it. Even with a baby, she couldn't compare to Reed in his eyes.

"I won't do it again, Nathaniel," Chelsea said.

Nathaniel figured Norman had pushed Chelsea's actions. She wouldn't have dared on her own. He'd deal with Norman later.

"Start packing and leave." Nathaniel's tone was final. Chelsea was too scared to argue. She looked at the unopened baby stuff in the living room. Now she had to leave. But where?

"Nathaniel, where should I go?" Nathaniel stayed cold. "Stay here for now. I'll have someone take you to Diamond Crest Estates. In five days, a specialist will check on you. Until then, stay put."

Chelsea realized she had really angered Nathaniel, who wanted to confine her and prevent her from leaving or contacting her parents. He was guarding against her!

"Nathaniel." Chelsea touched her belly, crying, "Will you marry me?"

Nathaniel didn't respond and walked out.

Soon after, a real estate agent came with clients for a house tour. Nathaniel had already listed it online.

Chelsea watched as the agent showed the clients her carefully arranged home. She had barely lived there before it was being sold, and her heart was in turmoil.

Chelsea called Maria. "Mom, I can't take it anymore. Nathaniel wants me out of Bloom Villa. Why hasn't that awful Aurelia divorced him yet? She's taking everything that should be mine. I want her gone!"

Maria paused and said, "Chelsea, don't worry. I have a plan. If she won't leave, we'll make her disappear from Nathaniel's life forever. Once she's out, Nathaniel will be single again."

Chelsea wiped her tears. "Mom, will she really disappear?"

"Yes, just like her mother did," Maria said.

Chelsea felt a glimmer of hope. "Mom, I'll wait to see it."

Meanwhile, Aurelia sneezed in her sleep. Her fever had gone down, but she still felt weak and tired. She updated Amber, her prenatal doctor, who advised her to rest, avoid exertion, and stay hydrated. Amber assured her the cold would improve within a week.

Aurelia scolded herself for being weak. She had planned to stay with Reed until he was discharged, but now, she couldn't go near the hospital due to her cold. She didn't want to risk infecting him.

She called Ted, who reassured her that Reed was doing well. This news put her at ease.

Even in bed, Aurelia was restless, her mind on her designs. In the coming days, she planned to focus on her work and her two babies. Making money was her top priority.

Feeling inspired, she grabbed a piece of paper and started sketching scattered ideas, which she planned to complete once she felt better.

Her phone buzzed with a message from Ashley: [Aurelia, don't covet what isn't yours. Watch it, or you'll regret it.]

Aurelia didn't know what she had done to offend Ashley, and she had no interest in finding out. Once divorced from Nathaniel, they would go their separate ways. She deleted the message and blocked Ashley on Facebook.

Aurelia rarely had a moment of peace. She counted her cash, preparing to leave Imperick after the divorce. She took all her belongings, except her car, which she had bought with her own money. It had cost over thirty grand two years ago, and selling it second-hand would still recoup some cash.

She asked Timothy to sell the car. He was efficient; that evening, he transferred the money to her.

Timothy: [Aurelia, the car sold for fifteen grand. The money has been transferred to you.]

Aurelia was surprised and delighted. She hadn't expected to get fifteen grand for a used car she had driven for over two years. It would be enough to buy a larger house in another city. She thanked Timothy warmly.

After two days at home, Aurelia felt better, and Ulysses called her over for dinner. She freshened up and was about to leave when she saw a rerun of yesterday's news on TV.

The previous night, a car's brakes had failed on the highway, causing a chain reaction involving thirteen vehicles. The scene was chaotic, with cries echoing through the air.

When the camera focused on the car with brake failure, Aurelia was shocked. Time seemed to stop, and she felt numb from head to toe.

Can't win me back
